@22:18 Methotrexate is a game changer, it changed my mum's life.
why aaron looks so gay
While ignorance is bliss, it is a fragile joy, for the moment knowledge awakens, it demands responsibility and transforms contentment into a restless pursuit of understanding.
@40:04 For some reason my brain malfunctioned and thought you said 'At least... 3 horses' 😅
Welp, time to make a chatgpt wrapper that generates pdfs of mid-journey prompts to sell for 50 bucks
Yes
We looooove a president podcast host!
I get that Aaron is out here making and selling a spectacle. What is the general appeal of social media for normal people? I don't get it...
The Ad idea is fantastic. I would also love to hear Ian just inject sports commentary style ones. When Aaron says something like "we love a good blah" Ian immediately comes in with the "todays blah brought to you by companyX, the leaders in Y"
59:38 - Ian says Iowa, Aaron then automatically ignores the state and says Idaho. They are basically the same though
Right off the rip 00:05 there is an obvious edit. What trash did Ian actually say about Aaron... 🤔🤔🤔
59:40 Ian stop taking subtle shots at the Woodworking! It's allllll content!
<ESC> :q or <ESC> :x or <shift>+ZZ it's easy folks!
or <CTRL> + z kill $(pgrep vim)
see! I was right!
As an expert in the field I feel I'm qualified to say: Neovim is objectively better than human interaction
You and Ian agree on what "objective" means!
I love how Ian just doubles down on the vim quit joke. "Nobody knows"
I don't know what the drones are, but I know what they are not: - They are not looking for a missing nuke. That's not a thing. We're not very good at sniffing for nukes, and we are not capable of sniffing for them from a couple hundred feet away. We have detectors at ports of entry, and our current technology can't tell the difference between a truckload of bananas and a nuclear weapon. The reason is because nukes are shielded extremely well. People work around them in plainclothes with no special protection. It's absurd to expect that a drone would be capable of detecting them. If it was giving off enough radiation to be detected from the sky, then we'd find it pretty quickly by triangulating the prevalence of radiation sickness. - They are not aliens. Presumably if aliens landed here, they'd be looking for signs of intelligence, and it strains credulity that they'd be looking in New Jersey.
nice
Each like on this video is a guaranteed vote for President Aaron
There would be something amazing about Aaron ending up on his own mute lists
I've burned through episode 1 through 56 in about 2 weeks... you guys have gotta pick up the pace so that I don't run out!
Ian: just move that thing to the right until it breaks off Bro was worried about spending $10 on launch day
40:12 Classic Merica styles. NotJustBikes would cry.
Landsman too busy buying more domains?
The Boring Company is a rare L for Aaron.
18:10 Ian just walking back all his horrible, horrible comments about us 😂
Can‘t wait for the Aaron NYT bestseller, but happy to wait a few more years.
Ian is far too calm about the phishing attack haha
"You guys got into computers at some point" straight facts right out of the gate.
58:59 it was at this moment, Aaron realised he f'd up.
That ad read was amazing 😂😂😂
Project for when you retire, Aaron. ua-cam.com/play/PLB00JHoTw1TeX82Qw8hoFLRJI89Us_jMw.html&si=8AlL1Pkg9QDvsRTC
Oh my gosh he's been working on that for SEVEN years! That's the dream
I like Aarons advice so much more than Ian... Ian seems lovely, as does Aaron, but his risk profile is WILD
🫡
We need show notes on the YT video! The launch video is here - ua-cam.com/video/TOsL_bnYJT8/v-deo.html
in bsky there are no ads and you don't have to pay thousands of dollars to use the api. elon is brilliant when it comes to spacex and tesla but there is nothing brilliant about buying twitter or his political ideas.
how will they sustain without paid tier or ads? it will become like twitter eventually. it has to make money
I am happy to listen to ad breaks as long as it‘s not too many. I really like the idea of an open platform to buy ads on the show.
Plus you then you're basically begging people to pool cash and buy hilarious ad spots. How much would we all pay to have Aaron read a super positive ad for Pepsi Max Mango or Pepsi Wild Cherry? Or maybe Ian to read a pro-Mars ad read?
I‘m rooting for Aaron to pull it off with all those crazy things
17:45 Isn't it interesting how different people can be haaaaaaaaa
Someone please send the link to an image of Aaron asleep at the gym
1:08:20 bro could take the loss - classsssic engineer moment! I hope it's still all the same as it was Aaron!
I have never wanted to jump into my podcast player and disagree as more than I did this episode
Disagree with Ian? Probably
@ this week, yes!
@@simeonGriggs 😮💨
I wonder if Aaron has muted me 🤔
whats your handle
I'm with Aaron on Blue Sky. I try it every now and then, but I don't find myself wanting to go back.
x already has features like defined algos there's topics you can follow like science and technology which will show you related posts on your for you then there's lists which is like starter packs, you can put similar accounts on a list and then follow the list instead of following every account. you can also have different tab for each list, and private lists as well
Eating pizza and losing $50 is exactly my poker strategy as well. 😄
Works every time!
Aaron needs to create a Laravel app that uses ATprotocol to implement the the BlueSky app of his dreams. What an opportunity! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT_Protocol
Get Aaron playing poker! It’s one of the only things Dallas is good for!
I thought Kelsi was Aaron wife when they emailed me...
for the ipv4 -> 6 thing, is that 6 month project worth it for you money wise?
Ian, if you want to use Tiptap as your WYSIWIG, we'd be happy to give you a quote!
Heard your guys copied Adam and Dax so wanted to start from the top :D
"It's perfect. I love it!" - Mr. Francis on Laravel Cloud ❤
Aaron was on another level in this one. "I wrote down 7 I don't know what to do next" got me good...
I feel like this episode should have just been titled "Math". Also, if you do a 'subscription' thing, don't use Patreon, it sucks as a platform.
Budget app should be the new todo app. 😅 Every new developer's project. And Budget app is personal so it's different for every person.
