Cities Skylines is a city building game by Colossal Order / Paradox Interactive. I play a very highly modded version of the game with mostly custom assets. I have the following DLC: Mass Transit, After Dark, Parklife, Snowfall, Campus, Industries and Sunset Harbor. I run a fairly entry level PC for this game with a meagre 16GB RAM but with careful asset management am able to push the limits of my potato.

The city of Los Angeles recreated in Cities Skylines. The city of LA is enormous, larger than what is possible on a 1:1 map in CS1. This recreation includes the downtown area, Hollywood, Santa Monica, LAX and South LA including Long Beach and the Port. To fit everything in certain distortions have occurred but hopefully it was worth it in the end.

Lived in durban from 1952 the trolley buses no southern freeway no western freeway jan smiths highway to joburg saw it all
This is amazing. I never realised it was possible to do something so realistic in City Skylines. I'll have to re-examine that game.

Thank you for showing us a bit of Stamford Hill Aerodrome; most people living in Durban today do not even know that we even had one. Please do a video of Cape Town next - that will be quite a lengthy but magnificent one, I'm sure

Im from Jhb but as a kid, born early 80s, I would visit durbs during the holidays. That time durban central was beautiful. The big wheel in town and the activities on the beach front was so leka. Now it looks like a dump full of nigerians.

Grew up in Durban (now in Joburg). Lovely to see the history of my home brought to life like this! I hope one day to see a recreation of Port Louis (Mauritius), Buenos Aires (Argentina), or Stockholm (Sweden) :D

The figure of 200 000 was for the 1940s, when this video was set.
