They should do a prequel series, it would take place between late 1800, early 1900. We saw some scenes in the show that took place there. That would sell well, especially to the Red Dead Redemption fans out there. You know who you are. ;)

some character acrs became more and more horrible. beth is a typicall girlboss jaimie acts like her opposite. rotten, weak and hes a man. kaicey is... well hes here. rip ist the best and most consistend character. from the beginning to the end his arc is plausible. maybe because he changed very much

There is no substitute for good writing. While this show won't win Amy awards, it's much better writing than Acolyte had. Hopefully the finale is good so I don't have to take back my words, lol.

I watched Ryan George's Pitch Meeting of Acolyte instead..lets not support bad entertainment, but good satire. That said, Skeleton Crew is amazing. Like your vids as well.

If you named this a Re-cap instead of a "Review" it would actually mean something.

"Memorable Scenes" conisting of people executing other people might be one reason why this show didn't get traction outside of the US. Nothing against brutality in TV Shows, but if the core of the message is, that the "good scenes" depict people being judge an executioner outiside of the law, then thats something that doesn't sit well with most of the world outside of the US.

Rip, John and Kacey are what kept me watching. They were the only ones who had any bite. I don’t mind drama. But when you get these soap opera bouts for half the season before anything happens, it becomes draining

The level of history and blackwashing with this show is levels never been seen. its genuinely crazy just how racist this show is towards egyptians and greeks. The idea black americans think they go to another part of the world and rewrite other peoples history is beyond insane.

I don't really get how people were disappointed... I knew where the ending was going multiple seasons ago? John was always going to die, whether Costner left or not, as there could be no resolution while he was alive. Period. Kayce's a Seal from the start FOR THE ENDING. They made him Special Forces who had worked alongside Intelligence to where he would be able to take out the corporate assassins without Kayce or Beth or Rip going to jail in the uproar. It's like people that bitch about 1883, I always ask "So what, do you just want to watch Faith Hill freeze to death, because that's what happens?" They really couldn't go any further with the story they'd told without actually starting to lose big swaths of land. It's set from 1883 on. It was going to be seven generations of Dutton's, and then the Natives would get the land back. It was always going to be a "rise and fall" story. I really don't get what you were expecting, or if that is how you feel about Beth that you actually watched for essentially six seasons. Jamie was always the villain. Kayce was always who it was all for as the oldest blood boy after Lee's death... which they made sure to show you in the first episode. Is Taylor Sheridan a fantastic screenwriter? No. He's actually quite good, but he isn't reinventing the wheel. He's telling character-focused stories about things he actually knows about, at least well enough to pull off on TV. I mean, the entire reasoning behind why they would lose the land to inheritance taxes isn't even possible in the world we're based in. Neither the feds nor Montana have any. TV keeps getting worse because people bitch about even the good shows. If anything, the one thing I would complain about was that I knew the ending by Season 3 because it was predictable. I knew John would be murdered or at least be dead a few episodes before the end, I knew Beth would kill Jamie and he would close the train station, and that the land would be returned to the people of Broken Rock. They went out with their largest audience ever, so it couldn't have been too bad.

Heartland is Yellowstone but better

Beth went from one of my favorite characters to one who I genuinely believe does not deserve her happy ending. Jamie is said to be a villain, but every bad decision he makes that makes him look like a bad guy was ALWAYS because of Beth pushing, abusing and fucking with him and forcing him to do something fucked up. Every step Jamie took towards being a Villain was all Beths doing. And I do mean Beth was the reason for every bad decision Jamie makes, I'm not being hyperbolic, she literally is directly involved in the situation that leads Jamies bad guy choices, which he clearly regrets after doing. Meanwhile Beth regrets nothing and gets a happy ending with her murderer Husband and not adopted son. Fuck Beth, Beth sucks.

Yellowstone at its best was some of the best drama I've seen on television since Breaking Bad, at its worst moments though (most of which seem to focus on its female characters, sadly) it is an annoying and preachy cringe-fest that lacks any kind of subtlety. I wouldn't say the quality of the show got any worse as it went on, but it constantly went back and forth between these two extremes and that keeps it from being an all-time favorite I know it could be. Early on while watching, I got so annoyed by Beth's never-ending tantrums that I almost quit the show before finishing season one.

I got 3/4s way through season 2 and my absolute hate for Beth (respects to the actor) just kept me away from the show after that! I heard she got worse after that. and Costners character just became more unlikable!

I came here because I completely agree. I paid $50 for the steelbook 4k of this show and was excited to watch it… What.in.the.f. Is going on here… The writing is horrendous and poorly written/directed. No doubt. My wife is not nearly as critical as I am, and she paused the show half way through the 2nd episode to express how bad she thought the show is. That’s saying something, trust me. I can’t believe this got a 2nd season… I hope it’s made with better minds.

Most of Season 5 was devoted to extremely long musical montages of people eating or riding or barbecuing. It was obvious that they were padding out every story just to hit the required episode time.

Kevin Costner is Steven Seagal in a cowboy hat. 1-dimensional characters who never lose a fight or even an argument. Also, Beth is the worst person in any show EVER.

Imo, when he speaks to Jimmy just before sending him back to Yellowstone, he'd written a role for himself that was perfectly apt, fitting like a glove. The guy is the very definition of EGO, personified. And in truth, he has far more than his fair share of shortcomings & insecurities, whether WE ever know about them or not. It's utterly unmistakable, coloring everything.

Beth is one of the most aggravating and annoying characters I've seen in a while. Rip got on my nerves too. So did John and Jamie, although Jamie only annoyed me because he was spineless, I was rooting for him ti get one over on his horrible family. I didn't really care about Kayce and Monica, they were just there. This show was best when it focused on the actual cowboys in the bunkhouse. This show just got worse and worse as time went on, I stopped watching in S4 and only picked it up again when I heard it had ended. I much preferred the two spin off shows.

Should’ve killed off Monica in Season 1. Make Kayce a single father and unleash some of his power. He had so much potential to be a great character but he was so weak in this show, it was painful to watch.
