46 year old former creative executive at a Fortune 100 company who just loves making content for the purpose of helping others with their career while providing some perspective and appreciation of the little things along the way.
Over the past decade I built a 240-person internal creative agency from the ground up, and along the way I fumbled and failed and learned and succeeded. I saw all the shit in corporate America, having led through everything from reorgs to mergers to pandemics.
You could also call me an idiot savant in the social media world. I find myself awkwardly of being somewhat TikTok famous at 45. With over 1,000,000 followers across all platforms, I have unintentionally but genuinely invigorated follower’s perspective on life.
My wife Kelly and our daughter live in a Brooklyn home we brought back to life after 15 years of abandonment. Also, I was once a goaltender in Ontario’s Junior hockey system.

Make Your Work Days Work For You
Y'all gotta give it up for Sloane on these edits!
This video should help anyone rethink how their weeks can be organized when you are part of a larger team or organization. It is a system and process that I had in place (for the most part) during my last couple of years at my job, and it made a night-and-day difference in alignment, clarity, and the ability to have intention with each day versus just a haphazard mess of stuff helped for better headspace too.
Plus, there are some new random guests and segments as we try to make these better!
Love y'alls feedback and thank you for being here!

Love you Timm. You inspired me to take the leap out of Corporate… whilst it’s scary as sh*t… it’s the best decision I ever made. Go Jets.
I can't wait to read this book... can't wait. Just hope it will be available in Canada ❤
Looks so cool, and nostalgic! Would love to go but I don't live in new york.
you get discouraged easily, youtube takes more time than ticktok, but the viewers are more faithful! Go back to entertaining us with the shorts at least...
This was incredibly helpful to hear. As a fellow STAR, it can be very discouraging out there trying to move up when I dealt with so many factors against me preventing me from getting my degree. But that has never stopped me from learning so much in every way possible and I have become a major resource of knowledge for others. I definitely hope STARs get more exposure and people take more chances on them because STARs have an unstoppable energy and amazing insight, due to their experiences and struggles.
Always nice to meet another Brody/Brodie/Brodi
In spite of or despite. Not Despite of.
I needed this, and just in time. I love ruthless calendar ownership but this is next level nuance. I have influence at the director/leadership level and I think I can get the, into the Mondays. Thank you!
As anybody verified the Cinnamon theory? 😂
❤️
UA-cam suggests your older videos to me. As I have watched all the newest ones. This one was great. I love how you always just go for it. And to see the growth.
Tim, some feedback. Please don’t use a yellow highlighter, it’s hard to see on camera 😂
Lol wtf that #2
Happy birthday Toots
Love you, Jon ❤
Thanks, Timm!
Anything for you coach!
Intro was super cool!
Your thinking: oh, I have no time for these longs... UA-cam viewers' thinking: this is first class content, just let each scene last two minutes instead of two tenth of a second and stop talking like a machine gun, you don't need to say much more, it's just that we hate this fast pace! To sum up, you don't necessarily need any more raw material than you already make for tik tok, you need a different way of editing for youtube. Because your content has great potential if only you adjast it a little to what the viewers of youtube expect.
thank you for the continued feedback and encouragement, i am still very much in the process of figuring all of this out
tik tok on youtube, hmm, it is allowed and we watch them... not a way to develop a youtube channel though...
totally agreed, i am still very much figuring all of this out.
I agree, we over think work
😔
Thanks Timm This video, certainly came at the right time.
❤
🫶🏽
Thank you Timm. You have great content. Would love to know what your thoughts on confidence vs competence as described by the Behavior Panel's speaker Chase Hughes. Do you agree with him?
Crazy how good our phones are at listening in. Someone used the phrase, Sundays Scarries,” today, and now it has popped up on my phone. I never heard the phrase before. Clearly some mom tried to raise anxiety in her daughter by creating the phrase.
LOL, interesting perspective.
Vasectomy for the win! 😂
Haha!
lol
Happy to see more frequent UA-cam uploads keep it up timm!
I thought you outsourced that????
Glad to find you on other platforms Timm. ❤ I recently deleted Instagram and had to ask friends to show me your profile to see how you were doing. Found your profile on Strava and now I don't feel left out for deleting my Instagram. Keep on keeping on ✊
I love this white stripes reference very cool tim
I like these bite sized explainers, it’s like a shot of feel good and information.
What kind of bike is this?
This is great, Timm! I implemented your advice on purpose statement writing and converting role descriptions to metrics and am happy to say that after getting literally ZERO responses on my first draft I quickly jumped to a 65% response rate garnering interviews on my first couple weeks working with my new Timmified version! THANK YOU!
i a similar experience which but in the end the crowd thought i was Tim Anderson dad 😂
My favorite short video. 🥹🫶🏽
❤ Ev!
I've been waiting to watch this video and now being in an airport with a delayed flight is the perfect time. 😊 Thank you for sharing your current wisdom accumulated and earned over the years!
“How to Get Addicted to Cinnamon”
This is so great! I’d love to see a video about adding similar structure to the WHOLE week. Not only office hours, but also managing endless TODO lists at home, and fitting in time for sleep, exercise, and fun with family/friends etc…. Basically time blocking your personal life!
Rooting for you Timmy. Nice job on pulling the ripcord. Safe landing
Now we just need a video on how to take notes in meetings. Then we can conquer Corporate America!
You sound like a good dad I wished I had memories of my parents asking me things other than just how was the day
aww baby Eve
There’s no place like home. ❤
“Show your work” is great book with lots of nuggets of advice. Just finished “Steal Like an Artis” also.
I have 2 Associates, one in my field plus I have 25 years of experience. How do I stand out in the job market of scams, fake postings (because policy/laws demand they get posted) and thousands of layoffs, including mine? Friends are trying to "put in a good word" in so many companies from Art Director all the down to binder in a print shop. My last awesome job I got laid off of was a word of mouth hire.
It is tough out there. I think the way to stand out is to clearly demonstrate that you understand how any given role you apply for helps that company solve its larger business problems, then you tell them why your story and the experiences and accomplishments you have had make you perfect to help them do that through that role. - You need an art director that can help us clearly communicate to ______ audience ______, _____, and _____ in a way that will get them to take the next steps with us. I understand that space better than anyone because I actually used to _______, and I delivered 15% increases to _____ monthly because of the way we used design to increase engagement. i just made taht up off the top of my head at 515 in the morning but hope it helps!
Guess you can’t make it in the corporate America without some stoicism involved :) can’t wait to hear the podcast
hell yeah
Can't believe this is free. Thank you SO MUCH!
its my pleasure to pass this along
