Since seeing Tool live for the first time in 1998, I’ve always been impressed with just how damn good they sound, especially when you consider how loud they play. Their timing and sound production is flawless, nearly crystal clear regardless of the venue. This is a great recording, to not be tied to the sound board, it is very good quality. Now I see why Danny says The Grudge is probably the hardest song for him to play live out of their entire catalogue. He definitely wasn't kidding. That is a seriously physical song for him. He's hitting absolutely every piece on his set during the finale, but it was absolutely EPIC to watch him play it. It's easily my favorite album opener of theirs. The Grudge rocks SO f-ing hard. 🤘
