Is this kost for two ways trip! Plz answer, i wil come this week😁
Yes there and back.
Should the ticket be validated?
No…
Thankyou very much... I am travelling this Monday...❤
Most welcome 😊
Can we meet in Oslo i am also a UA-camr
Very very impressive line speed being the fastest joint with Chinese lines
And a very smooth ride!
Thank you
You're welcome
We'll be travelling in Latvia and Lithuania in February, hopefully by train. The tickets are not for sale yet, at least not online. Do you think they will be sold closer to the date or are the some complications to be expected?
If anybody knows, the help is greatly appreciated!
They go on sale much closer to departure - don’t panic!
Just had a look at the menu - that knocks British trains buffet out of sight! 😋 I have been thinking about taking this journey as part of a trip from London to Warsaw, as a change from flying. This section looks really nice! Thank you for the great video! 👍
I’m sure you will enjoy it! Do explore more of Poland….
Hi! I'm from Bulgaria but never used the metro from the airport to the central train station. I read somewhere that you need to change lines at Serdika metro station. Did you do that - I didn't see it in the video?
Yes to get to Central Station you need to change.
Beautiful interiors.
A very comfortable way to travel!
Very interesting journey, what's the most common usage - looked a bit empty from the video? Are those sorts of prices quite reasonable? Seems a bit expensive for Indonesia so maybe that was why?
There is a significant middle class in both cities. It was reasonably well used. Will be much more useful once is extends east.
@DiscoverByRail I did not know that, thanks!
Always hate ignorant comment from you white people justifies everything with too expensive for this country bla bla bla without doing a litte research first. Jakartans majority is rich you muppet.
I think it's all came to the timing. Trust me, I'm an Indonesian and i use the train quite extensively and it can be packed. The ticket itself can be sold out. It's all depends on the timing, the hours and the day. We are quite unique as a nation, we don't travel unless it is extremely necessary or we travel during holiday. And most of us travel at the morning. So morning, at weekends especially when the paychecks day has come. Man, you'd be thanking god if you got a seat left.
Data wise, there are approximately around 21,000-23,000 riders per day. And from inauguration until today, whoosh has seen approximately 4 million users.
i recently played a game called "The Last Train Home" about WW1 Czeckslovak Legion fighting for the Tsar, evacuating eastward across Russia during the Red-White civil war to Vladivostok. amazing history and one of the mission was right by Lake Baikal, secure the gold train and try to escape from the pursuing Reds. I kept reading up on the history after i finished the game. absolutely fascinating history
Very good video, appreciate it very much. I am trying to go down south by train, starting in or near Pranburi and going to Phang Nga or Phuket or close to it but it's not easy to find information about the lines and stops. Where to get on or off. Do you have any links or sites you could share or other information about train rides in southern Thailand? It would be great to get to see Thailand by train. ❤
www.thaitrainguide.com
I think I can pull it off, some locals are helping me get the tickets and it looks good....we will see tomorrow. Thx for your content
Thank you for the video, very helpful! I will be coming to the international airport of Vienna, but I have to go to Linz on the same day Will I find OBB trains from the airoport to Linz available in a one way ticket ??
Yes! They run every 30 minutes and the journey takes around 1 hour 50 minutes.
@ Thank you for you help And does the OBB accept cash payment ?
Yes!
thanks, very useful info.
Glad it was helpful!
thank you very much sir! Do i buy ticket in advanced or on the day of travel?
I bought on the day of travel.
Great video. One remark, the signage for the airport metro is not consistent throughout the system. It's called U1 at its own stations but called M11 at other metro lines and on system maps. So don't be confused, U1/M11 is referring to the same airport line.
Hadn’t noticed that!
Thanks, it is going to be easier for me to take this route now
Glad I could help
Pretty annoying that they don't accept contactless credit cards at such a global airport. Even Beijing lets foreigners pay for the metro with foreign credit cards now.
Indeed!
Hi! Your video is perfect! I'm travelling to Turin in April and was going to pay for a taxi as I was so worried about using the train but this has put me at ease so much! I'm just a little unsure about travelling from Porta Susa to Porta Nuova, my hotel is only a twenty minute walk away so might just do that instead! Thankyou for making my journey a lot easier! 😊
The Metro works fine….
Is it not costly
It comes with a price tag but well worth it!
Did 17 hours on Kurtalan Express once with friends. It was great but we were late to buy tickets so we had to settle with pullman ones. We only discovered we can rotate the damn things on the way back :D We could've slept better taking turns.
I’m planning to do the Kurtalan train this year - a good trip?
@DiscoverByRail Definitely yes. It gets really dark outside sometimes at night but you can see the stars and all. Other than that it has good sightseeing with rivers, mountains etc., stops at various cities and the southeast is amazing to visit. It's like another country. I definitely recommend, hell I want to do it again sometime soon. This time I'll rent a car to visit cities other than Mardin and Diyarbakir.
Hi sorry if i seem daft..im going to be in Vienna for 2 days..my question is..when i get to the airport is there a way for me to get to the stop Praterstern...i see the travel cards quote vienna city card 48hrs for 27 euro..and vienna city card plus airport transfer for 47 euro for 48hrs.. is there a cheaper way for instance..buy the card for 27 euro and buy a round trip ticket for airport to city centre and back for when im leaving and use the 27 euro card for public transport in akd around vienna? Or can i just buy the 48 hr card and then buy an airport to city centre ticket separate.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..helpppp lol
Depends how much travel you plan to do. I’d just buy single tickets on direct train from Airport to Praterstern and back. Buy individual tickets within the city of a 48 hour transport pass: shop.wienmobil.at/en/products
@DiscoverByRail thank you so much..i look forward to emjoying your city
Why not visit a station in India for big departure boards?😊 And the number of passengers per day? 😅😮
Gracias been awesome seeing your quickie video
Have you done the journey?
@DiscoverByRail Jan 7th I'm going to Benidorm
Enjoy!
Nice info! One question, in the central station, were there platform screen doors/ wires? Thanks
No….
@DiscoverByRail thanks! My eyes must be going!
Ah did you mean Sofia Central or another in Central Sofia 🤓
@@DiscoverByRailFrom about 2:49 in your video - descending from the ceiling as the train departs
Orlav Most Station.
Excellent video my Friends 😊 awesome 😮 greeting
Thank you very much!
Note the International Counters are at the far (eastern) end on the upper level, opening at 09.30. There is a handy Billa supermarket on the corner of the building nearest the bus station. Ideal as there's no on train catering. Trains can be distinguished by east, west and occasionally middle symbols when all on one platform as happens with the current engineering work. The station building is locked once the last overnight train leaves. Nice introduction-Regards.
Bex thanks for the comments! Re the trains I’ve noticed slow improvements - such as toilet paper is available now!
This is the best video in your channell
There are more to come!
I'll let you know once I've moved over to Northern Ireland next month 😂😅🎉
Hope you make good use of the railways there!
Thank you for the information! I will be visiting sometime in the future and this will be helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
My city is beautiful. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
How to book train tickets
Online at ebilet.tcddtasimacilik.gov.tr
So the ticket you bought included the train ride to Montserrat, the second train to the monastery and the train to go to the top. And this was 38£ for one person to go to Montserrat and return to Barcelona. Am I correct? Also, how long does the third train take to reach the top of the mountain?
All inclusive and just a couple of minutes…
@@DiscoverByRail thank you for your reply, I was very confused before I watched your video
Glad to be of assistance 👍
Thank you enormously. I only just found out about this, we were planning to take the bus but this is much better and more fun. We learned our way around Porta Susa earlier this year after arriving from Milan. It's vast and you need to know which way to get out, I thought I did but once in that long open space my sense of direction was challenged. Such a beautiful city that we booked to go back this Christmas. Your video is perfect.
Thanks for the nice feedback 👍
Do they hv lift in oslo stations for heavy luggage
Yes…
Hi, I'm so curious. Do I need to change to another train through the whole route? As I thought the EC151 is a direct route, right?
No need it is direct
Planning Oct 2025 trip to Helsinki and Rovaniemi. We appreciate this informative and helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
This is a nice train but I dont understand why somebody would use this instead of the YHT line, its like 2 times faster, cheaper I'm pretty sure and more frequent
Saves a nights hotel accommodation!
With that logic, night trains wouldn’t exist anywhere in the world, because there will most likely be always a faster day time alternative. In this case, the last YHT towards Ankara departs at around 7pm, making this sleeper the only alternative for someone who can only leave after 7pm.
Just did this two days ago, it's really convenient and cheap, even my flight landed in Helsinki at 05:05, I manage to get a train at 06:00, really great way to get to the city centre as it saves some budget for my trip, Helsinki is an expensive city (slightly cheaper than Zürich), especially food. 😅
Hope you enjoyed the ride 👍
Do they have lift also in oslo s stations for heavy luggages
Travellators
Hi. Iam only coming for 48 hours - can i buy one ticket for all my journeys and if so how much is it ? Thanks
All the information is here: www.wien.info/en/travel-info/transport/tickets-361360
Can I access the tram from Alicante Airport?
You need to take a bus from the airport into Alicante. Also there are direct buses from the airport to Benidorm.
Hi the combination ticket from ticket machine Is it include 4 train ride ( return ) and 2 way funicular ?
Yes, correct
Is there a train also from Riga to Tallin?
Currently not - you change trains at Valga.
Hi, Andy... I am going to Torino next week, and I would like to ask you something.....Firstly, thanks a lot for this vídeo... I was thinking about going from the airport to the city center by car, but you encouraged me to take the train... About my question: I will stay in Italy for quite a while.... Torino and Rome. So, because I probably will visit other places around Torino, I believe would be more interesting to buy a ticket that I could use for all these trips... maybe one that I could use in all Italy... what do you recommend?..
Just buy individual tickets!
You are referring to a rail pass, which is going to be more expensive than individual tickets, unless you are traveling to numerous countries by train over an extended period. That's when a rail pass comes in handy and saves money.
Okay. Thanks a lot for answering.
How did the trip from the airport to Torino by train go? Just like this video?
What do you think is the most enjoyable route to take by train from Milan?
From where?
@@DiscoverByRail from Milan.
Travel up to Tirano along the shores of Lake Como then up over the Alps on The Bernina Express.
@@DiscoverByRailthanks a lot.
I got scammed by Fly train 😢😢😢 I should have watch the video before
