GPZ 7000 10"x-coil vs 14" Minelab in-ground depth test
Have previously depth tested the 10"x-coil against the 14" Minelab in air, thought I'd try it in-ground with a small nugget... any conclusions???

Took my new 10" x-coil on the Zed to Tibooburra to try out. I reckon it comes close to the performance of the 6000 on small nuggets... What do you think??

Comparing sensitivity of the 10" x-coil on my GPZ 7000 with the standard 14" coil, just with a simple air test on a couple of tiny nuggets. Is it worth getting the x-coil?
GPX6000 coils depth test vs GPZ7000 x-coil

Depth testing the various GPX 6000 coils and the 10" x-coil on the GPZ 7000 to see how they perform on two tiny gold nuggets. This is an air test and is not intended to be 'scientific' - just a bit of fun to see what each of the coils sound like on the gold.
X-coil upgrade for the GPZ 7000

Got tired of waiting for Minelab to make a smaller, lighter coil for the ZED and didn't want to spend another 8K for the 6000. The 12" NF coil wasn't small enough for me so bought the small 10" coil made in Kazakhstan...... Is it worth it?
Finally, not a sub-grammer!

Geared scooter hub motor repair, Warning about a cooling mod.

A geared scooter hub motor taken from a powerful scooter makes a clunking noise, probably caused by drilling holes in the motor casing for cooling. Holes can cause problems with gravel entering and destroying the planetary gears or even the stator.

Hello does anyone know if I change just the motor out of a Bafang rear hub motor cassette, could I just slot the motor into a freewheel casing.
So is it worth $1900
For me, it was more about reducing the weight. It's a pretty good coil though - more sensitive and deeper on small bits, if that's what you want.
@@joc1862 just a bit strange how they are all the same price L
Easy for them...
Could you give the model of controller you have in this set up even maybe a link to where you bought it.
Sorry, bike sold some time ago. Can't remember. Got it as a 25/30 amp controller on ebay..
@@joc1862 hi thanks for the reply one more question could I use a 48v 21ah battery with a 750watt bafang rear hub motor with a KT CONTROLLER 22a
You can - with difficulty. Battery is fine but wiring on the controller needs to be worked out - namely the wiring for the display. Or else run it without the display, which is OK.
@@joc1862 wow thanks for the speedy response well I have an LCD 8 display connected to a KT controller, but I don't understand what you mean about the wires to display. If I run a KT controller 22a with the 750watt motor I guess I'm good to go or am I missing something.
I assumed your controller didn't come with a display, which makes things difficult. Since it does, ignore the previous post. All should be good.
No. Sadie is not compatible with GPZ 7000.
Question can you make the patch lead to suit Sadie coil question
Sound about the same to me
Hi friend, send me one as a gift because I can't afford one of these
What is the motor
Judt a 350 watt DC brushed motor - old technology.
Can you guide me on how to set up to remove iron and only detect gold?
GPZ 7000 is not a discriminating detector. Sorry, all metal only.

Hello friend, how are you, send me a coil like this, I really appreciate my strength, I just want to use the detector at work looking for gold.
A little late to the party but I just installed statorade in my motor and it worked amazing
Do you use this in the scooter hub motor or bike hub motor?
@@soapbullet-tq8zf doesn’t matter as long as it’s a direct drive motor. Statorade works in direct drive hubs.
The machine is strongest when in normal / high yield/ manual ground
Agreed.

Ciao Paolo. Vivo ad Adelaide. Adesso, anche qui in Australia è difficile trovare l’oro. Troppe persone lo fanno.

I got the 17x3 z coil from nugget finder and i wasnt to impressed i also have the 12" z nuggett finder z coil which i like the best. Im hoping x-coil makes a elliptical coil like a 10x5.. these x-coils seem pretty decemt may have to get one.

Para o preço desse aparelho, vejo que não tem sentido o investimento...
qué?
It would have been better to buy the wheel 1000wat 32amp controller either battery that came with bike 48v20amp or you can get 52v 20amp 35to37mph with regent braking on controller under £300 worth it or 28amp controller and solder shunt bars
Who needs brakes anyways? Surely they were the second best cycling invention. A pair of Hokas would last a whole summer, unless you lived in the mountainous areas, as brakes. Just like my old converse did with less dense more abundant materials taking their place. We find things by looking.
y donde las puedo comprar, puedes pasarme un link te lo agradesco saludos gu.
Busque 'Bafang' en eBay...
Can't wait to get my RION so I can sell it. Been waiting 3 years next month. Don't even want to potentially deal with sending it back for repair.
What are the settings with coils 10
Same as 14. Maybe a bit lower on sensitivity as 10 is more susceptible to ground variations.
How much does the 7000 weight with the small coil on ,I'm deciding between a 6 or 7 atm ,7 very heavy with the standard coil
Just under 3 kg... You reduce the weight by 300/400 grams.. still heavy but much better balanced with the 10".
Sube colinas mucho mejor.
So much EMI and ground noise to draw any conclusions. I think the 14" was getting it at the end, because repeated sweeps over the target seemed to be upsetting the GB?? Also that nugget being on an angle on the end of the stick, would be affecting max depth capability.
Yeh... not ideal conditions. Just testing out the 10" because I'm having some issues with it.
@@joc1862 okay. Have you put it across my test patch? Curious to see how it would go on the deeper targets there.
Was there a few weeks ago with a few other detectorists - soaking wet ground, wet leaf and fallen branches litter everywhere & target spots were difficult to locate. Gave up... Try when things dry up a bit.
Thanks for the comparison. Since there were vehicle noises in the background do you wonder if EMI with the bigger coil had an effect? Audio smoothing would affect the performance also. Otherwise it seems inconsistent for the 14" coil to only go 4" with the half grammer in my experience but conditions likely vary a bit.
Both coils were noisy due to the very wet soil conditions & probably masking the signal. In-air test gave much greater depth.
I love 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇰🇭
Amplifies make a huge difference in the sd , gp detectors , some are better than others and are used with external speaker also .
Many thx for the vid, but for me it wasnt convincing enough, you know were the nugget was cause you planted it there, but if you had done a test not knowing were the nugget was i reckon 90% chance you would have missed it for sure, i know it was a bit noisy because of where you were but for me ground noise can do your head in ,,ground noise can change day to day pending on the weather hot and cold days, damp or moist grounds and so that can play havoc with your coils and machines, i can keep going here but over all its worth it only in perfect conditions,,its only my view, but many thx for sharing,,goodluck out there my friend
hey I got a question can you link the battery or no?

Glad I could help. Cheers...
On the first coil tested? What have you put on the front half of the coil ?Duct tape to keep wear and tear at a minimum?
Yes, duct tape. To protect coil from rubbing scoop over it.
Thought I heard test was with machines maxed out Why was z7000 in difficult? Crap test
coz they were all in 'difficult'....
I've got a 5000 with a 17x 13 nuggets finder and the use of my friend 6000 anytime I want.I always find the 5000 out performs the 6000 which always picks up ground noise and can be at time very annoying. Ill stick to my 5000 thank you
Do you have a video fixing brushless gearless hub motor that is overheating and cutting out? Mine is starting to cut out when going up a steep hill. Works after it cools down for a bit.
Definitely worth the 10" x coil. Might save the cost of buying a 6000 (?). It appears to perform similar to the 6000 at first glance. If a 9" or 10" coil was available for the 7000 it would be a big seller providing no patch cable is needed! Good comparison. Thanks!
