Making an aluminum Fender bridge DIY project
Переглядів 1,8 тис.Рік тому
This video is about the making of a bridge for my Fender champion lap steel copy. I couldn't find an original so I hired a pro to make me one and it was a disaster. I paid a pro to make one and it was a disaster so out of frustration I made it myself out of some scap metal I had. I have a video of the entire build however people were asking about the bridge in particular so I decided to make a ...

Fender Clone Lap steel Build
Переглядів 35 тис.Рік тому
This is some rough footage of my very first lap steel build. It is a copy of a 1950's Fender Champion lap steel guitar. I made it out of a 75 year old maple table top. it took 180 hours. Some cnc rough cuts were made but as you can see most of this was done by hand. The pick up was a custom copy of the original made by Lollar - I highly recommend their pickups. The Fender logo plate was very ha...
Blocking In The Head
Переглядів 3275 років тому
Note- correction I mentioned charcoal but I'm using soft pastel. This portrait demonstration focuses on blocking in the head by using two soft colored pastels. The blue was used to lay in general shapes and orientation of the sitters head. The burnt red color was used to start the refinement process. I suggest trying this out with short poses to gain skills in setting up a portrait drawing.
SKETCHING THE FOOT
Переглядів 905 років тому
This short video is about sketching the foot and simplifying forms. This medial side of the foot has many angles and creates a challenge. The feet are challenging but its just another part of the body and we tend not to focus on this area. Keep at it and draw the foot from all angles.
Intro to Gesture
Переглядів 2655 років тому
Hello, This short video is an introduction to the art of the gesture. The most important aspect learning how to draw gestures is to feel the flow in place of using tradition skills of proportioning and observing anatomical features. Mastering this art form will give energy and flow and help to create powerful figure drawings. Thanks for watching! Cheers

Hello, Welcome to my Figure Drawing Art Channel. This foot study was done from life with charcoal, in one of my figure drawing classes. General shapes were found through line and tone. Many artists are visually oriented so in this particular video, I let the filmed drawing illustrate how I created this study without instruction. Thank again for watching. Hi, that is an amazing job. I'm doing the same thing, or at least starting to. Where did you get the side on image? What thickness did the headstock come out as? Would you mind sharing some of these details? Many thanks from the UK

Thanks it was a lot of work but I always go back to this lap over everyone I try. I found the side view searching online can't remember. the headstock is 9/16" the challenge is what are you going to do for the fender logo headstock plate? that becomes the nut. theses are very hard to find I lucked out and got that and the pickup cover from a 1952 fender on eBay. you could make a copy if you have the metal skills.
