Good vid mate, very informative. Everyone has obviously got an opinion on this subject and their own favourite watch, which is exactly how it should be. Have a good weekend and fingers crossed we don’t have an apocalypse anytime soon…..we can talk royalties at a later date 😉. Stay Safe.
This guy has no idea. Many G-Shock solar last over 10 years and are a not heavier than any of the watches mentioned. Solar square G-Shock would definitely last over 10 years. So him dismissing that shows his done no research. Also why would you need a watch in the apocalypse, but not want a day/date complication. In an apocalypse setting I'd say that's almost more important to track than time.
Citizen Promaster (Eco-Drive ) Diver’s with NATO black strap. Just back from a tough week in the Cairngorms and it performed superbly. 👍 Excellent video as always.
Excellent, thanks for watching mate!
Shakey Boat are on Elliot Brown Holton professional now … every issued CWC I had suffered from fogging ;) Nice vid mate .
Yeh I have heard about quality control issues w CWC don’t know Elliot Brown Holton will look into it! Thx mate 👊
Subbed , crack on mate ;)
What a fool this guy is. g shock solar square. Thin and lasts forever with sunlight.
Casio ProTrek: Solar, Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, Thermometer, and generally tough.
Thx I'll take a look at that one mate
Pretty good assessment, but missed two golden opertunities. Marathon GSAR has to make the list and pick a winner from the Avenger lineup from Breitling. Sketchy guys wear Breitling.
Thx for the tips I'll look at those! 👍
ZRC grands fonds 300-fortis b42- sinn ux- hanhart primus
I'll look into that one! 👍
Citizen Promaster Tough Super Titanium is mine (on a NATO in the field). I don't think anything could dethrone it for me. Ecodrive, titanium, 200m resistance, big legible numerals, bright lume, you just can't go wrong.
Brilliant, thanks for watching!
Would be mine too.
I would get a GPS Solar Seiko Astron
My solar Seiko Safarnie is going to the end of the world with me
What about the Solar G Shock Dw5600?
Yesterday I was hit by a motorbike, I was thrown, but g shock dw 5600 I was fine.
I don't know it yet mate Thx for the tip I'll look into it!
There’s quite a few g shocks that have tough solar so that solves the battery issue imho.
I couldn't grow the moustache
Ah shame - was a cracking interview. Although I’ve got to be honest I’m not surprised the videos have been removed. There was quite a few images of the blokes which they probably wouldn’t want on there, and even seemingly small details like talking about kit or patrol sizes can have unintended consequences, even if they seem harmless. It’s clear you’re a military enthusiast, and have good intensions though. I do enjoy the content.
Thanks mate, by mid-November I will know more and I hope some content can be wholly or partially restored. It’s a learning curve!
total bullshit never mention any off this in there debrief
They made a program of this course in about 1980. I thought that in 1982 they should have dropped hundreds of copies in the Falklands with the title " this is what is coming guys" no shots would have been needed!
Yes agreed! I used a lot of that programme in the main video that this short it taken from. 😄
Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story
Exactly! 😉
Why were they there in first place other than to steal from the Iraq people and overthrow their government
You may want to re-read your history book pal. Saddam Hussain was allowed to stay in power and coalition forces left Iraq as soon as he withdrew his forces from Kuwait. The events depicted in this short pertain to the first Gulf War
explain it better or don't bother
Being used like a clowns 🤡 wig
It’s still on bbcIplayer, in fact there is loads of these type of military vids on the BBC
It’s great to hear about the old P Coy especially the Wales Phase which was particularly arduous, the 17 miler on the Monday from the cattle grid straight off the coach was hard that was called Endurance 1 I believe, followed by Endurance 2 on the Tuesday over Peny-fan, Fan Fawr & 10k speed march which was a killer, 7 mile stretcher race last event on the Wednesday, those successful go onto advanced Wales
"Broke contact"...i.e. allowed the rest of the Iraq's to live !? 😳🤣 Our SAS are the OG's of the Special Forces community. I for one accept that my pathetic a55 couldn't hold a candle to single one of these true warriors.
Good on you mate. Watched the full video when you uploaded it but totally understand you got some pressure from somewhere to take it down. Keep up the effort mate.
Much appreciated mate! It's a learning curve and hopefully Scouse will be back he is a true gent living a life of public service. 👍
glad i got to see them...
And we will make every effort to get them back and even produce new ones provided we get the required approval 👍
Big gobs cost lives
The interview dealt with events which occurred 33 years ago
Theres a book out it been out a long time called soldier 5 it tells the real story of bravo 2 zero its written by mark the new Zealand sas trooper assigned to bravo 2 zero, very interesting.
Bore off ffs
Ambush on the veld/in the field. Air support, or forced surrender. Contact, hold or hungerstrike. No other options.
Sounds like the MOD have had a word mate 😮. 30+year old tales thou. Or perhaps some people mentioned would rather remain in the Shadows. Great content thou Buddy 😎👍
Thanks for the support Mike!
Good effort.
Untold warriors, good on ya mate 👍
I first worked with the Dutch Army conscripts, in the eighties and they just did not want be there, and they were mediocre at best. Fifteen years later worked with them again at STANTA in Norfolk, U.K, and by then the Dutch had a fully volunteer army, and they were superb. I think the Dutch Marines are as good as the Royal Marine Commandos, and in certain areas better, specially with modern equipment. Conscription does not work ,to have armed forces up to a high standard, unless they are always at war such as Israel.
Great background! I did one of the first Basic training courses after abolishion of conscription. This was in the Dutch Army at Ermelo barracks. (Line infantry basic). The training cadre afterwards when speaking casually did say that what had been nice about conscripts was you got a more diverse group of skillsets. Pros and cons I guess. Certainly take your point about morale and wanting to be there.
Rusians invade ukraine- no one moved a finger
That's why you still have a planet . 😏
They have to wear head guards now 😂😂
So: “Victory or Death or Surrender”
Yes it seems so 😉
He was told by April Glaspie that the USA would not interfere in Arab to Arab matters after Saddam brought up that Kuwait was stealing Iraqi oil by slant drilling. The USA lied to him and used it as an excuse.
What happened to bros brightness?
Michael Asher exposed Bravo Two Zero's lies in ua-cam.com/video/mPe-c_3eAIg/v-deo.html
Iranians were assaulted with the same guy for 8 damn years and respones of these assholes was supporting the guy. Were was this formidable SAS when we were left to fend for ourselves against this mad dictator? Ohhh they were busy supplying all kind of weapons to him to be used against our inocent peopl. Bunch of hypocrites
The Iraqis literally told the USA that Kuwait was stealing oil (and it was) and that if it didn’t stop that they would invade. They were ignored and then attacked.
This is so much rubbish. Kuwait was sideways drilling into Iraqi oil fields. The US was approached and said they would not intervene. The war was about securing Israel. No more lies please, do some research.

Great video thanks! I did summer 23 in 4:40 so with these tips and not stopping at turnaround for 15mins to fix a blister, sub 4.10 seems a realistic if very challenging target for Jan 25, as it should be! We were definitely guilty of some 'strolling' after the main descent from Pen Y Fan too
Amazing, good luck mate! 👊🥾
It's a pretty basic climbing, skiing, mtn and arctic warfare and survival course. Not as advanced as the German alpine leaders course, but which some claim is in someway uniquely challenging. Like they do with many British military courses.
I did the next P Coy after the channel 4 Cutting Edge programme in November 91 and always remember the date we did the Fan Dance as it was the day Freddie Mercury died 24th November 91 as they announced it on the radio on the bus. The last 6 miles on the road was hard as you run the first 2 then speed march the rest up to finish. After the log race the next day you move to Sennybridge for 3 weeks of live firing which in December was cold.
Thanks watching and providing the background!
@jamescoupland4673 Think we were the P Coy before the cameras arrived what platoon were you
You mean after the stretcher race , where you 570 platoon?
Pen ahh van not penny fan.
Roger
Well done Ferdinand. It was a brilliant day and cracking event 👌
Agreed! 👊
