Don't the paras do this in p company now?
I genuinely don't know mate
The Interrogation team work for DSTO, Not sure what he meant by the joint services interrogation board ?
It’s a Quartz 7548 , the SKX 009 came out in ‘96 . They look very similar especially with the Pepsi bezel
Thx for the info!
My apocalypse watch would be the Citizen Eco Drive BN0228-6W “Retrozilla.” Multiple strap options, tough titanium case, lightweight, accurate, great bezel, and charges in the sunlight. Ready to run for years on end!
Nice I didn't know that one!
Once.the world.ends knoing.the time.will be the last concern
www.kampspecialforces.nl/
Definitely the most interesting & informative channel in UA-cam,and I am your fan! I’ve been watching MAMACOO and buying them recently to complement my watch collection. Good video
Where can we buy the endurance watch?
Now in prototype testing phase if you email ferdi@hard-routine.co.uk I'll make sure to send you the info in due course. Likely open for orders in Feb 👍
Id still go with a casio rangeman (GW-9400)
[Is it not true that our country is run by Islamists? Do we know if our so-called politicians, clergymen, police, judges, lawyers and civil servants, teachers etc are actually Islamists or are beholden to Islam for other reasons? Possible that they believe islam will win and have sold their services to new masters? Is it not true that Khan has links to Islamic Extremists? Starmer says "I will take every step to keep "Rel of Peace" communities safe". Why is he not pledging his loyalty to keep the people of Great Britain safe? Haven't the police shown which side they are on in the recent times with their two tier policing? The king, Starmer, the Church of England, the Armed Forces and Parliament: Do the police and military members not Swear an oath to the King and not the people? How about this... hasn't Charles always been a member of the "Rel of Peace" as didn't Queen Victoria convert to the "Rel of Peace" in regards to her relationship with Abdul Karim? If so, could all her descendants be secret Members of the "Rel of Peace" using taqiyya which is the action of committing a sinful act (such as feigning unbelief/lying) for a pious goal. Hiding one's beliefs has been a feature of Islam since its earliest days, and is acknowledged by "Rel of Peace" members of virtually all persuasions. Plus the decline of the strength and commitment to the Church of England by the royal family, The Prime Ministers and Parliament? Why has the church been promoting the "Rel of Peace" and selling our churches to the Rel of peace to be converted into mosques? Is it because Queen Victoria converted to Islam and as the head of the Church of England, didn't she and Abdul plan to slowly but surely convert everyone in her realm to Islam and the land into an islamic state? Aren't all these questions not plausible?]
Just buy a casio, pfffff just a to expence piece of watch.
Dude, I think in the end you'll come back to the G-Shock Solar--these things last forever with zero maintenance. Most automatics (especially Seiko!) will go bad relatively early on compared to a tough solar. I've been a Seiko fan boy for 30 years and have old and new Rolex subs but would never consider these apocalypse watches.
cool I mention them in the follow-up vid on The Endurance watch
Hey mate can you recommend and hills close or around London/Essex with high elevation to train on or anywhere drivable?
Hi mate yeah Box Hill Surrey. Great 8 mile loop with plenty of elevation and technical terrain. I did a vid about that loop very recently if you want to get an idea on the terrain 👊
Seiko "Capt. Willard" deserves to be on this list. Can't get more Apocalyptical than Apocalypse Now! LOL! But seriously, this watch design is iconic, and unexpectedly comfortable. So adaptable whether for scuba diving, or infantry combat. It's turtle case, 4 o'clock protected crown, and super legible indices. After all these decades, inspecting the watch's details reveals what a thoroughly thought out design Seiko created. I love my Capt. Willard, and it's one of my favorites in my collection.
Agreed mate. Have you seen the entire video? I talk about the Capt Willard for several minutes 😀👍
Let’s gooo man
Ferdi, your channel has inspired me (and I'm sure many others) to get out into the hills. Appreciate the effort you put into. You'll be at 10k subs in no time.
Thanks for that lovely message Nick! 👊
Gosh I haven’t been to Box Hill in decade or so
Love your channel.. Really inspirational. Totally focused on Weekend 9 for me after a spectacular fail this year. Came away thinking at 58 I should maybe look at something more sedate , naah booked on Festive 50 and off we go. 👍👍👊👊 Keep it up the good work.
Brilliant! Thanks for the feedback and good luck for festive 50! 👊
What weight were you guy's carrying? was it the same as the fan dance?
Yes 35lbs (25 for me) but we kept a very gentle pace due to the little dog this was just a bimble not a hard push 😄
To most people your bimble would be a very tough day.
That does sound rough as fuck to be fair, no wonder rhe brotish army is the elite and feared world wide….. any training course which included having to be in Scotland for any more than a day never mind patrol in the place around the ginger piss stained rangers fans, just shows how harsh it must have been and so hard to complete if you weren’t a complete mental case
Theres actually a coffee company in south wales that named a product after this test march, Beacons coffee company, Endurance.
Been in the relentless heat and humidity of Georgia USA so long I have yearning for the cool of the Breacons lol
I did it and when you get to the final check point they tell you the wagon has not turned up and you have to march another 5 miles. Many refuse and get kicked out but the wagon is round the corner out of sight. I passed.
Thx for the background!
So u was REG then lad??? WERE Did u come from in the army? Cos i was REG lad n i dont remember you.
In the video you said for the basic training for the army reserve its a 27 day training plus a 2 week course, but then you said that to qualify as a army reserve it will take in total 6-12months then you can start 21/23 sas selection? 27 day and 2 weeks but takes 6-12months in total, pls clarify...
Army TA is mostly on weekends so the 27 days plus two week course is accumulated over 6 to 12 months. However it’s worth getting up to date information with TA recruitment and join our facebook group (link in description of channel) where we have lots of Reservists as community members. 👍
Imagine condensation in that .
It’s not too bad, I keep some vents open and material is quite breathable. But I think you’re right to point out there’s more condensation than actual “tent”. Where this is technically a shelter.
They were brought together for battle replacements.
Yeah G Shock solar would cover everything. Longevity, upgradability and small/light. Being into modding watches you can upgrade to sapphire crystal and stronger housing if necessary ect and 10+ year longevity. Citizen are ok but a lot of the best of the best use G Shock. Great video though, thumbs up!
thanks mate! That's helpful info 👊
Congratulations on your 2 k Subs brother 🏴💙👹💥💥💥GTC
Thanks mate 🙏👊👊👊
My late father served in Malaya 🏴🙏He was 16 Independent Airborne Brigade 💙 it was then formed into 5 Airborne brigade for my time in 1 Para in the 1980,s then back to 16 Air Assault Brigade 🇬🇧✌️History repeats itself 👹✌️GTC
I never knew 16 Airborne had been a thing before thanks! Will look to do a video about that 🙏
@ My Father was Serving in Aden at the time and my family being from Scotland 🏴 he couldn’t get home for my Birth and hence the reason I was Born in Aldershot 🤣Home of the British Army at the time ✌️GTC Ps loving your Channel and you can put a face to a name 👍# Mercynaries of war on UA-cam GTC 👹💥💥💥
I can’t afford a real Captain Willard so I bought a cheap Chinese “homage”; a Heimdallr Sharkie. Remarkably, it’s a pretty tough watch. Same goes for my Steeldive SD1953 (Rolex submariner homage). Pretty tough for the price. Either way, I enjoy them as beaters and just for fun. Now my Apocalypse watch would probably be either my Citizen divers, my Seiko Arnie or my G Shock original Rangeman.
Nice background, thx for sharing!
Thank You . This was info I was looking for.
Thx for watching!
Definitely the most interesting & informative channel in UA-cam,and I am your fan! I’ve been watching AMZWATCH and buying them recently to complement my watch collection. Good video
Think to do 21/23 you really need to be self employed and able to take a lot of time off or having a ridiculously understanding employer. Having a full time job and family life alongside the time commitment for SF reserves is a cocktail for failure. But suppose the mindset for those who pass is different to most.
Thx for the background
Interesting video. In the 1980s survival training courses were a big thing, and they were at least fifty survival/ adventure courses available, run mostly by ex paratroopers, ex marine commandos, and ex special forces. There was a magazine called SWAT ( survival, weapons, and tactics) which came out monthly with lists of these courses. Is there a list today on one website of military adventure courses available in the U.K./ Europe ?
Sounds amazing. Not to my knowledge but I'll look into it!
A mechanical watch? Don't make me laugh. It's so obviously a solar G-Shock lol.
Working on a deeper dive into those, watch this space!...
The Seiko 6r35 movement as found in the new Willard is not vey accurate and can behave very erratically, also crap magnetic resistance. Can I assume that the apocalypse also affects Watches of Switzerland? If so I'll be going down there and looting everything they've got so no issues about a watch being tough enough to withstand the coming dystopian future. So what if my Breguet breaks I'll just get another one out of the sack.
Thanks for the intel, and I'll be there for the looting hoping to grab myself a no-date sub! :-)
No G-Shocks ? All you need is one G-Shock solar for your life !
I'm doing a follow-up on Gshocks watch this space!
Are the Womans Royal Auxiliary Balloon Corp running any event this year?..... asking for a friend.
😂
Well done mate, and thankyou! 👍
Thanks mate! 👊
For me, it's the Seiko King Turtle. Sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel and a 4R36 robust movement. Your mileage may vary
Sounds amazing I'll look into that one!
Well done matey!
Thx mate!
You show what can be done, just need commitment and determination
@@calmolly1 thank you!!
Victorinox inox no question. Just check out the tests they put it through including driving a 64 tonne tank over it!
Thx for the tip will check it out!
Interesting video the music is overpowering though
Thx for the feedback. 👍
In case of Apocalypse I wear two watches. On my right hand I wear Milgauss z-blue on rubber strap, and on my left hand I wear a Cartier Santos two tone in medium size.
Great choices! Thanks for watching
Great video and topic. As much as I love automatics, they need to be serviced every few years for that long life and you need to continuously utilize a flashlight to activate lume at night and you would definitely need something to cover it so it wouldn't be glowing all the time if you want to be stealthy. I love the idea of a NATO strap that can be worn outside of a sleeve if necessary. I would still believe a GShock Solar like a the tougher and better made case like the GShock DW5000-U would be stealthy with a light that you can use at anytime (and turn off). You'd also have have a much longer lifespan without needing a battery change. Bartering may be the only downside but on the upside you won't be killed for your watch. ;)
Hahaha very good points thanks for the insights! A new installment with a reassessment of Gshock is definitely inbound...👍
I have 30 automatic watches most are over 20 yrs old some are 50 none have been serviced all keep within 10 seconds a day
G Shock has tough solar atomic watches that last to more than 20 years.
Sounds interesting I’ll look into that for the follow-up!
Ridiculous topic. An apocalypse? Caused by what? (Imp's) In the Vietnam war MacVSog operators used Seiko 5's...(25 dollar). anything more will simply be cut of your wrist by roadpirates.
Welkom in de comments Jaap! Seiko 6105 in '68 was $48 in PXs and were purchased in large numbers.
If there is a nuclear event G-d forbid or EMF, electromagnetic pulse event, only an automatic without any electronics will work. No quartz or solar will work. So this video makes no sense for a real catastrophe. A simple Seiko automatic or even Seiko 5 with 100 meters WR is probably going to take a beating better than anything. Seiko Alpinist or for an inexpensive choice, a Lorier Automatic by Seiko with 100m water resistance and the non winding 7r movement is all one needs. Traska Venturer is a good GMT watch. No one needs to spend more than this. Any 100 meter automatic watch will do and a Lorier or Seiko 5 is under $200!!!! Rolex buyers are fools. Those watches require extremely expensive maintenance.
