Welcome to Napdesign Co.! We are Josh & Angela @Napiwocki & we are sharing a glimpse into our daily life and work! Come along with us as we work on projects together, some for ourselves & others for our wonderful clients. We started this channel years ago to share videos of the family sawmill & heritage activities. Now we are expanding the content to include many other aspects of our family business & lives. The biggest personal project we plan on sharing will be the process of building our own two-story farmhouse on our property outside of Shiner, Texas. We are also currently working on building a blacksmith shop/workspace with our Conex shipping container & antique wooden beams. We hope to take you along when we travel back to visit Wisconsin & create more videos of Gary's Masseys, antique farm equipment, and Gaar-Scott Sawmill. Let us know if you have any requests & check out our website for more info! Thanks for stopping by & we hope you consider subscribing to our updated channel!
DIY #TINTING Windows in Equipment - Removing & Cleaning Skidloader Windows - Gehl RT165 Track Loader
We did the first window before we started recording video, and it was very difficult to remove and reassemble. Some parts of the following process weren't filmed due to Josh's frustration and he can see why people tint the windows without removing. That being said, he wanted to wash all the mud and such out of the track and between the windows because they were difficult to slide and latch. Obviously he was able to get everything done and put back in place, but it wasn't easy.
The results were well worth the effort because the tint job makes the whole machine look cleaner and helps the air conditioner maintain the cool temperature inside the cab.
Here is an affiliate link to the tint we used:

Reinforcing Chicken Coop/Duck Cage, Raccoons got our chickens? Hatching more chicks, Family Projects
Переглядів 314Місяць тому
Our chickens started disappearing and dying last month after so many years with no issues. We tried some quick temporary fixes to our chicken coop/duck cage, but when we were down to ONLY ONE CHICKEN, we realized we needed to make the time to really repair and reinforce our setup. On Josh's first free day, he led us in this project of moving the cages, adding more chicken wire, fixing holes, et...
BUFFING Sun Faded Equipment Instead of Painting
Переглядів 653Місяць тому
One of Josh's favorite things is restoring equipment and making things look their best. We just got this sun-faded GEHL and one of the first things he did was start buffing it to bring the paint back to its original color and shine.
TESTING Salt-Water Pool Levels - pH, Salt, FAC (Free Available Chlorine), Phosphates
Переглядів 207Місяць тому
This is our first year using a salt-water system in our above ground pool, instead of the traditional chlorine like previous years. We knew we wanted to switch after swimming in other salt-water pools and experiencing the difference. With continuing research, we're learning what it takes to maintain a clean salt-water pool, the ins and outs of the system, what things we need to test for and the...
MegaChlor-CD SaltWater Chlorine Generator by ControlOMatic - Above Ground Pool - EASY No Plumbing
Переглядів 470Місяць тому
We decided to try this MegaChlor-CD Salt Water Chlorine Generator from ControlOMatic because of the "no plumbing" feature. It was more pricey than some other generators that require plumbing. The "CD" model automatically detects the chlorine levels. This video is our experience with it so far, from the easy set-up, to the slightly more complicated manual deciphering, and the vinegar soak cleani...
Pea Gravel & Weed Barrier Fabric Landscaping Around Above Ground Pool
Переглядів 4,5 тис.2 місяці тому
The kids were a big help once again in getting our pool area ready to enjoy this summer. Josh put down the weed barrier fabric under the perimeter of the pool after we had about 2 inches of water in it to hold it in place. He also went around the small concrete pad area where the filter and ladder are kept. Next, he picked up a load of pea gravel from Rock Hard Materials outside Yoakum, TX to g...
Sand Filter Assembly - Bestway Above Ground Pool Sand Filter
Переглядів 3,8 тис.2 місяці тому
This small sand filter came with our new Bestway above ground pool, so we decided to assemble it and give it a try this year, instead of using the larger sand filter we purchased independently last year, since we didn't have the new replacement hoses needed. We'll see if it keeps up, or if we need to just buy new hoses and new sand to fill the larger filter. This small new filter also included ...
Pool Assembly - Bestway 18'x48" Above Ground Pool
Переглядів 19 тис.2 місяці тому
"Many hands make light work"...and the kids had great incentive to help get the pool assembled so they can enjoy cooling down in this heat! Our last pool this size was from Walmart, but the best deal we found this year was at Sam's Club. After preparing the 20' sand foundation (in the last video), we assembled this steel frame pool with the help of the whole family. In the next videos, we assem...
Sand Pad Foundation - Above Ground Swimming Pool - Leveling 20' Masonry Sand Pad by Hand with Family
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 місяці тому
Prepping the foundation was the first step for setting up our above ground swimming pool for our third year as pool owners. It takes a lot of effort, but the refreshing reward is worth it in the end. Check out the following videos as well, showing the assembly of the 18'x4' Bestway pool with a sand filter, gravel pool border, and our first year trying salt water using Controlomatic Megachlor-CD...

In hindsight, Josh wishes he would have documented the many travels and adventures in picking up and restoring various equipment, but here is a start. After selling our CAT skid loader (track loader), he was going to purchase a different model, but found this gem and needed it for the next step in building our house, the upstairs and roof! So we invested in this huge machine and he still plans ...

You just cut off your video? Didn't show completion? 👎🏻 wow...Josh gets all the credit. No credit given to the children. Josh doesn't like answering questions. Snapping his fingers. Doesn't want to be on camera. The older children don't look at camera nor do they talk. The videographer nervously laughing. Not good.
I tear my pool down every year only takes like a hour to setup
All too much work
Parents have done and are doing a great job educating their family. Patience, no shouting, everyone learning. Brilliant!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Congratulations may the Lord bless you another beautiful baby. 🍼🎊🎉🎊🎉👣
Thank you so much! 💙
I know this is an old video, but I have a Massey binder with same knotter. I bought it this spring in working condition, and just today was going over it and noticed the front most curving arm on the knotter, the first one you encounter when looking in from the front, was broken off about 5 inches up from the hold where the crankshaft goes through. I'm assuming the binder was still tying satisfactorily with this broken off but I do not know what it does. I cannot find a slow motion video of the knotter in operation. I'm guessing it is some sort of arm to hold back the incoming grain whilst the knotter ties and kicks out the sheaf? Other than that it has a broken and missing spring, the long curving ones that bolt to the tinwork above the knotter to form the sheaf.
If you want to email us, we can get you in touch with Gary! info@napdesign.com
He went hawk tuah on that thang lol
Pretty much!
How much pea gravel did yall purchase?
We bought two yards, but only used about one yard around the pool.
You didn’t use pavers, is your pool leveled? I’m in some Facebook pool group and everyone is putting pavers under poles
We used pavers previous years, but this year we just lifted the poles on the surrounding pea gravel and it has been level both ways.
How is holding up? I just ordered for my granddaughter. Hoping it was a good buy! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for your comment! The pool is doing well, my only complaint is that the metal poles are showing rust on top in two places, which is very early! Our last pool took two years to rust.
@@napdesign thank you for your quick response!
@texasgrandma17 Absolutely! 🤗
Generally speaking how many hours did detailing the entire loader take? I'm sure making the video slowed it down quite a bit. Good video, nice work as well.
Thank you! Roughly an hour. The under carriage and behind the tracks will take about another hour.
Just got my pool today thanks for the video helps a lot 🏊♂️
Awesome! You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
You have the most beautiful family. I loved this video. ❤❤❤
Aw, thank you! ❤️
How level was the pool? Im putting one on 30x30 concrete that has a 3inch slope. Hope that being in the middle or close to the front should give it the best level.
Ours turned out pretty level. With your slope, it might be too uneven and the water would be higher on one side of the pool.
Awesome. 👍👍
Thanks!
Hey what's supposed to be on the inside
The filter is filled with pool filter sand, if that’s what you are asking.
Dude is so lucky to have his family helping like this. Freaking incredible teamwork
We like working as a family! Thanks for your comment!
Great job! Looking at this pool this morning for our family. Can you share any details about the salt water setup? What you had to purchase additionally and how it’s done? Thx!
This video is what we used for salt water. (There are cheaper options if you want to plumb it in.) MegaChlor-CD SaltWater Chlorine Generator by ControlOMatic - Above Ground Pool - EASY No Plumbing ua-cam.com/video/aemU_YL6yiY/v-deo.html
I’m a dummy, I saw the other video after I posted that comment sorry!! Ordering the pool now! Was there a particular one you were looking at that was cheaper of the plumbed version?
This one shows up as a best seller on Amazon and is quite a bit cheaper. I honestly didn't even see this one before buying the one we have. If you buy it, let me know how it works! amzn.to/3VECAU4 And here is a Bestway brand one: amzn.to/45kOUfo
Why would you use salt water in a swimming pool?!?! Sounds berserk to me…..
@BuffaloChief It is more gentle on skin and eyes. If you ever have a chance to swim in a salt water pool, you can compare your experience to a traditional chlorine water pool. The salt required is only 10% of seawater and half that of human tears.
I have this exact pool. I've had it up about 3 weeks and love it. There is a small issue with ants ending up in there. I have to remove them with a net about every day, but that's not an issue with my pool, it's that I live in the middle of Fire Ant Alley.
We had ants in the pool at first but the skimmer we bought took care of them.
i've wanted one of these pools forever but i'm just not sure what it needs or how to maintain it. In canada they sell the actual pool but no attachments and it's a bit intimidating imo, any tips?
You should be able to find the parts individually as well and UA-cam has an overwhelming amount of info on probably every subject you’d like to look up. They have good swimming pool channels as well dedicated to walking you through the whole process!
Swimming pools aren't illegal in Canada?
I’m not sure what the laws are in Canada but I’ve never heard of that. One of the pool channels I was referring to is actually based out of Canada.
This is “Swimming Pool Steve” in Canada youtube.com/@swimmingpoolsteve?si=urdQSvB9II3mY_nF
I'm just seeing this today!!! CONGRATULATIONS to your entire family! How exciting! 🎉🎈🎊🥳😍👣
