I can see what you mean, but I genuinely don't think that's true. I believe the Magna Ge and Ithelia concepts have been in play behind the scenes for at least 12 years. The first mention of the Magna Ge, and reference to the book the Nine Coruscations and Memno-Li, was in a book called "The Exegesis of Merid-Nunda" found in Coldharbour in the base game. The concept of the Prisoner as the destroyer of the Towers has been around longer than that. I really think this has been the plan for a long, long time. Whether or not you feel it works is a different matter, but ZOS doesn't have the ability to "go rogue" on something this big; it had to be planned w/Bethesda.

I ... don't. In fact, I've never heard of it. Nerd fail. Where is it sold? I'll look into it.

Great comments; thanks for the thought you put in! I agree--the changes to the Coldharbour tutorial are fantastic, but I also struggle with the lighting. One point, though--I can't remember for certain if they removed the skyshard from the end of the new Coldharbour quest, but there did used to be one, and I **think** it's still there. We do get the skill point either way, however, just like we get it if we skip the tutorial entirely. I really like the idea of the two tutorials converging; it's a shame... but I just want back into Tower Zero, so I'm pretty biased. :)

There still is a skyshard at the end of the Coldharbour tutorial, and iirc I got *2* skill points at the end of it when it dropped me on Bleakrock Isle.

The Coldharbour tutorial does give you two skill points now, which is hood, and it never lost its Skyshard - but there used to be a Skyshard in the Isle of Balfiera as well. And since you could do both tutorials, that meant you got 2 Skyshards. What I can't seem to remember now is whether or not you got 1/3 skill point progress from the Skyshard on the Isle of Balfiera. If you did, then that is now essentially gone. If you didn't, then I guess nothing was truly lost that can't be replaced. Still, I wished they had kept the two tutorials together as one piece.

Ah, I see. Yes, that's a good point; hadn't thought of it like that. I had to re-watch the skyshard part of the tutorial to look for a notification (1/3), but there wasn't one. It seems like I usually do see one, but I don't run add-ons on the PTS, and maybe the notification I usually see is from an add-on? Or maybe since we give the energy to the broken skyshard to open the door it never gave 1/3 of a skill point. I suppose it doesn't matter, since it's gone, but now I'm curious. Ah, well.

Thank you! It's a huge honor. It is a fun tutorial, but there are two reasons for the removal that I can think of (these are *guesses*.) 1) There's a lot of speculation that TES is somehow going to involve the Direnni Tower, and something about the presentation in the tutorial didn't match, or 2) Other tutorials took new players too far away from the Coldharbour story. With the 10th anniversary and emphasis on that story, it was time to re-introduce players to it.

I do this, too! I like Star Light Bride, but there are a couple of anti-human Altmer songs that make me want to go full-out Pelinal in the elf tavern, so I don't usually hang out there, lol. I LOVE that Khajiit singer in the Rimmen marketplace; the voice is amazing, and the songs are so clever and... Khajiiti-specific. :) Also that gondola singer in Gonfolan Bay. At this point I've spent hours of my life listening to that song while watching the virtual sun set. If I'm going thru at that time of day, I try to always sit and watch.

I have several ASD markers, and sweet Sheogorath, I do loathe small talk. I think some people get a lot more out of those kinds of connections than I do... I'd hesitate to say that people aren't basically societal, I do think that's a "standard" human thing, but I am definitely an individual who makes the decision to be a team player, not someone who needs the team to function. And this is why I love this community. I made a post about a snarky NPC, and now we're having a convo about human nature. Best game fam ever. :)

@@Tamriel_Tidbits Is why my favorite build is the 'summoner tank'. Sorcerer built for summons. I was able to do vet dungeons pre-companions. Add companions, and... well. Solo most of the game.

I had never worn heavy armor until the Infinite Archive, and now I only take it off when I'm doing a group dungeon. I was amazed at how much more playable the game was. I like figuring out the mechanics, and heavy armor lets me survive long enough to do that. Huge game-changer for me. With a Companion out, I can now solo even new DLC WBs almost all the time. Game opened up tremendously. I've become, like, evangelical about heavy armor builds for solo play, lol.

@@Tamriel_Tidbits Try getting a full 5-piece set of Leeching Plate and Bahraha's. If you're ok with only having a 1 piece monster set, you can then equip Ring of the Pale Order, too (which IIRC now includes summons and companions for who can heal you). Basically can't die, especially if you have your companion set with some heals. All fights end up being a 'war of attrition' You'll eventually win, might take a long time, though.

@@gregorybrazell5133 Y'know, I've heard of that combo, but never actually tried it. Didn't have the right set pcs, last time I looked. But I also hadn't fallen in love w/hvy armor then. I do use the Ring of the Pale Order, but atm I'm wearing Warrior-Poet and Deadly for the damage until I need another protection set. I'll give that a try; thanks!

Basically your opponnent buffs you by bloating your deck eith cards, which boosts the return from the orgnum patron

I have used that counter, but I hate the Sea Elf deck so much that I'll do almost anything first, including forfeiting games when NPCs choose it. But if both decks are in play that can absolutely be a solid strategy.
