The tunnel run is just difficult in the first few turns, if you just slide down sideways until you see a good line it really isn’t that bad and the empty runs after make it so worth it you can pick up some serious speed

I grew up skiing Fortress. It was a great small resort but had a lot of challenges. It lacked vertical with the longest runs only being about 1000 vert. The access road was a challenge to say the least but the biggest issue was the wind! Fortress = WIND! Right in the heart of our Chinook belt the winds were legendary! I remember as a kid we would go out of the lodge, put on our skis, open our jackets up and get pushed up hill by the wind! Skiing there was feast or famine. It would snow 20 inches but the next day the wind would strip the hill down to the grass. Made for great powder stashes but you had “fun” getting to them sometimes I miss it still!

I'm glad you didn't mention my favorite abandoned ski resort. Every fall, once it gets cold enough for the bugs to disappear, I got there and remove all of the fallen branches and brush. There are others who do the same, but every winter I have the place practically to myself. It's an amazing feeling going there after a fresh snowstorm and making the first, and sometimes the only tracks on those trails. Sadly, every year it is just a little bit more overgrown and harder to get through.

Berthoud Pass was on my guided tours list in the late 1970s. There is a CMC cabin up above Yankee Doodle valley that makes a good lunch stop. You can start at Lake Eldora, but you may want to purchase a x-country ski pass. They maintain a pretty good network of trails. As you climb you may come across an old cabin and a railroad right-of-way. The old hotel sits up by the East Portal of the 5 mile long tunnel to Winter Park.

Great video, good job but few plance should not be included. No need include Souxe as part of Via Lattea resort which include Sestriere. Cortina is part of Dolimite Super Ski but not connected through slops, but connected to bus. I would like include Bormio which is part of Stelvio National Park.

Cairngorm is now a 'dead' resort. Virtually no uplift, the Funicular has been broken for 5 years+ and very little snow since early 2020s

Not true info, definitely about Chopok in Slovakia. Daily ski pass is between 50-65 eur depending on how busy it is. Weekly pass is around 360 eur, again depending which day you buy it. The lifts are often not working for whatever reason, mostly for strong winds, but sometimes even without wind and the queus are the longest ever....

There is askii resort in Antalya / Turkiye which you can skii in monrning and anejoy the beach afternoon.
