FYI the ski map shown for Mammoth Mountain California is incorrect. It's showing a map of Mountain High, one of the smallest skiable mountains in SoCal. @7:45
I love Vail, but haven’t skied there as much as I would like because of the price tag. This year though, we got season passes. Can’t wait to hit the back bowls!
My List: 5. Jackson Hole, 4. Kirkwood, 3. Palisades Tahoe, 2. Snowbird, 1. Alta. I lived 9 years in the USA (Bay Area and SLC) and skied a lot. Now left the country and back in Europe. Will never ski again in the USA. The reason is that skiing in the USA is away too expansive if you don't have a season pass and you live close enough to daily drive there. Daily passes and accommodation is just too expensive. I can take a plane from Helsinki to Sapporo, stay a week there and ski and eat and pay only the same amount I would have to pay the US ski tickets only.
Alps altitudes are not much higher. The USA resorts many have peaks up to 38--3900m. many of the bases start at 2000m. its much higher there. compare to most resorts in Austria. all the villages are below 100m, like 700-900m. only half a dozen EU Alps resorts have lifts above 3300m. Verbier, Zermatt, LEs Deux Alps, Les Plagne.Les Arcs, some of the glacier skiing, Tigne, Kitsteinhorn and some others. count in USA and theres are heaps more. they get more snow too. still i prefer the cultural experience of the Alps. who needs american culture. we all have too much of that in our own western countries.
whoever made this video has probably never been to any of these mountains. When talking about peak 6 and 8 at Breck, they show a clip of Rambo in Crested Butte. Just a mishmash of other peoples videos.
Not a serious list, or not a list curated by a serious skier. Anyone who puts PCMR on this list is an idiot. On this list and above snowbird, big sky, steamboat, Jackson hole and palisades? Insanity. Fyi: you're missing kirkwood, heavenly, and crested butte.
Definitely a lot of epic skiing and snowboarding destinations! Thanks for the great video.

Beaver Creek is my personal number 1 but this is a good list.

What area in acres supposed to tell me about the resort???
Lake Tahoe is my favorite spot.
I personally prefer skiing in the Alps as the altitudes are much higher, and a really good over all village vibe.

telluride is a great ski area , but i was born in aspen i learned to ski at snowmass but telluride should be in the top 5 or 3
Bird >>>> park city 😂

Big sky has a bigger vertical drop than Jackson Hole, as does Snowmass

Finance naturally permitting, I'll consider going to Aspen in 2026.
Having park city, aspen, and vail on this list just tells me that you have never skiied
