You could mount whatever you could fit to the rack on the drivers side. Not really a way to do it on the passegners side. You would want to use the Awning/Vestibule that iKamper makes and zips onto the tent.
Easily and thats why I bought it. Its the only rack that doesn't require a more permanent installation that requires reinforcement, in my research. I spent hours looking into this. I didn't want to drill holes on the jeep at all if possible much less install reinforcement under the top inside the cab. Thanks for the question and I hope that helps.
How is it handling the weight considering your rack is a gutter system rack and no an exoskeleton system like rhino. I’m curious, cause I have a gutter rack as well and everyone says it can’t handle the weight of a rooftop tent.
I was curious too prior to purchasing but it gets the job done with no signs of stress or issues. It can easily handle the weight because of the weight distribution feet transfer much of the load on the gutter area to the shell on top. Thanks for watching.
Same question as the rest - based on what i found out, if a rack is not reinforced to the roll cage, the weight limit of the tent is limited by the wrangler's hard top i.e. To 150lbs. However, if the rack is bolted/drilled to the frame, then the weight limit depends on the tent. In your case, have you had any issues with the weight limit being restricted by that of the hard top of wrangler to 150lbs? Could you please share details about the roof rack as well? And thank you for the video!
I will say I haven't had two adults inside because I'm usually on solo trips but I've had the setup installed for a couple years and everything is perfect (outside of a small piece of chipped paint on the iKamper framing). The rack is rated for the weight. I would have 0 concerns having 2 fit adults inside. I have a video on it ua-cam.com/video/7J9biKlJdb0/v-deo.html
What roof rack do you have installed. It looks like a no drill, is this correct?

Measure and mark with tape or a grease pencil so you only have to measure once. Been there and can't believe I didn't think of this sooner.
Really great idea. Thanks for contributing and watching.
Is there a way to add or attach an awning to the rack?

Mike does this rack handle the iKamper safely ?

I did a video on the rack, check it out ua-cam.com/video/7J9biKlJdb0/v-deo.html
That rack isnt gonna support that weight gor long. I cant imagine the added weight with 2 adults in it.
