i modified the tc nova system with fx loop. now i use 4CM and it works like a charm. Use two mv50 as amplifier in stereo. now it is the smallest and lightest and cheapest 2x50W/4Ohm stereo effect device. tonsound

The guitars sound quite similar between the two interfaces. I think it is not worth changing to the id14 if the improvement is not so noticeable.

Great review with big full tones in your recording that don’t sound thin. Thank you for turning up the reverb up in increments, eventually going up the whole way! Lots of reviewers don’t do that. It’s also is not a bad price for a Marshall even in November 2024.

imo the les paul is so much cooler for playing with that meaty sound but for recording i prefer the prs and it's more articulate tone

Remember that guitar should be fun. If you wanna play 10s then play 10s. If it's not loud enough then get a k&k pickup and hook to an amp. So many people get caught in to the sound and not the fun. I was one. Got a room full of guitars and amps but I still play

I've owned it for about two years and i’m still convinced sweet spot is obtained when volume is pretty high. dirt channel goes well even if volume is drooped down but for what concern clean territory for me this 20 watt version is empty of life in comparison 100 watt reissue or original one. the proof is that u can t get frusciante sweet sound without external equipment . even if is played in stereo. my experience don t wanna put down this series but for cleans it s better take a look other heads

DC Studio is a huge sleeper. I changed tuners, pickups and got a mojoaxe compensated tailpiece. Its a great guitar now. Used to be able to get them cheap!

The PRS SE Custom 24-08 To my ears had more clarity in a fuller sound but it was close Which is interesting, giving that there are different pickups different string gage and a different nut.

I dont know man ive seen 2nd hand Fender 70s Classic Strats for only 200 more here in the UK , I would rather have a guitar with the Fender fit and finish , If you can get one of these Squiers 2nd hand cheap then i would say go for it.

Very good for Fender Stratocaster as a tone and volume boost that does'nt change the Guitars character. I have tried a 250 clone handmade ( Miolnir I think) which was very good but if you have a soldering iron and some patience you can get that treble control to work like the original as a boost as opposed to a basic treble cut(anti-clock-wise). The original Clon boosts the treble from 12 o'clock ..most clones give you your normal treble at full turn. The mod takes about 2 mins and no extra parts are needed. Just jump one solder point to the one next door with a little blob of solder. Look it up a Gentle-man in Japan studied the circuit and found that was the only "missing link" in the chain. If you like it though just leave it as it is or....get another and get to work?

Sounds good...but does it play and feel ok?

I have tried flamenco picado runs on a steel string acoustic... only 10s feel like the nylon string and make it possible. The 12s have too much tension for such a technique, and also damage your nails.
