It's OK to Check Out (as long as you check back in) | Joy Lab Podcast [ep. 159]
In this episode of the Joy Lab podcast, we explore the phenomenon of dissociation or what is sometimes called "going offline." We want to highlight that this can be a very natural survival mechanism in response to stress and trauma. It's not all bad. We'll talk about the pros and cons of going offline; share some personal experiences of how dissociation can show up; and provide strategies for grounding, skill building, and reconnecting.

I'd tend to stay with pure hi-raw natural organic basically veggy diet taken on a steady basis for both regular nutrition and purification. Had to write a book about this called, The GREAT Liquid Diet. That said, thank you for this information. Hadn't thought of the orotate version of lithium in this context.

I was diagnosed with GAD and mild MDD. They took a while to manage and understand. Mindfulness meditation helped me a lot, detach from the conditioning. Books like "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels were a huge help.

Adrian's music is truly the music of Now - it seems timeless and speaks to the soul in people from any and all countries. It speaks of grief and hope and sunlight breaking through the darkness. I am listening to this first thing in the morning to center before I start the day...it just seems to make everything easier. Thank you so much for including this in the Calm series.
