This seems a little strange at first never having heard of it, but when I think about it I do something similar with tinfoil when I eat a bunch of hersheys kisses. I could see myself playing in the mud back before technology existed and trying to do something like this.
I learned how to do Temari Balls, also SASHIKO and came upon your video, lovely, will definitely like to learn how to do this beautiful Japanese artistic craft !!!!!❤❤❤❤ please make more of these fantastic videos !!!!!!🇨🇦
❓Hi👋 I have a question. Does it get hard at all? Do they make a sound if you roll 2 of them together? Like medicine balls?
Good luck with your channel and hello from England 😊
😍 Fantastic art. Love the idea of scented dorodango orange peel, coffee or other scents even vegetable ones or bitter almond. Chamomile, moss and clementine are my favourite relaxation scents
Why make dorordango? Is there a specific purpose or meaning?
There’s no specific meaning! Spending time doing something without a purpose is truly beautiful. Once you try making one, you’ll understand-I’m sure you’ll feel it! 😆💓💓💓 It’s such an exciting and sparkling experience for the heart. Absolutely magical! ✨
so pretty :)
Thank you so much! 😊 Please give it a try and enjoy making it!✨🥹💓
Is it possible to somewhat replicate the colour of the planet such as Jupiter?
In Japan, some people mix paint with clay and apply it before polishing, while others paint the dorodango after it’s finished! ☺️
I made some and got them super shiny, but when they dried they werent glossy anymore. Did I do something wrong?
If the polishing time is insufficient, the shine may fade by the next day. Try taking a break and polishing again later on the same day using a cup with a tiny bit of olive oil applied to it, or polish it the next day in the same way. The shine often comes back! Give it a try! 😊✨✨✨💓💓
@
I noticed your ‘@’ comment. Did you mean to ask something? 😊
What kind of clay powder do you use? What kind of sand? Does it matter? Thank you for your video😊
Any type of clay powder should work just fine! ☺️ For sand, you can collect it from your garden and sieve it to make sure it’s very fine. If you’re buying it, choose the finest grade available for the best results. Silt would be ideal, but if you don’t have access to it, finely sieved sand will work as a great substitute. Have fun experimenting and enjoy the process! 😆💓💓
Thank you!🧡💜🧡💜
Conner crates made one with lesssteps and stuff
That sounds like a method using regular soil! My recipe is designed for those who don’t have a garden or access to clay-rich soil nearby. 😊 Plus, I’m sharing the method that achieves the most brilliant shine.
Lovely and looks fun to make but.... Why? Are they just pretty balls?
Yes, that’s right! ☺️✨ They are adorable little balls! 💓💓💓 And they are so much fun to make!
The colorful ones look like real crystals! I've known of dorodango, but I never made one... I'm going to see if I can order some supplies for it now!
That’s amazing that you already know about Dorodango! 🥹💓 That makes me so happy! If you’re looking for tools and materials like the ones I always use, you can find them on Etsy ☺️. If it’s difficult to gather everything yourself, feel free to check it out!
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅😊😊
😆😆💕💕💕Thank you so much 😆💓💓💓
can i do it with dirt from my backyard?
It depends on the clay content in the soil there! ☺️☺️💕 Give it a try, and if it doesn’t work, you can add some clay powder to improve it! ✨😆

I can't believe this video just dropped 16 hours ago, and I just got done making my first dorodango using your first tutorial video. Super synchronicity!
Wow! That’s such a miracle! I’m so happy!! 😆🩷 Please feel free to make Dorodango as many times as you like! 🥹 I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!
Another wonderful video! I have made almost 30 dorodangos now using your method, and they keep getting better. I have also used soil from my yard in place of sand, and it works well. I would recommend to everyone to sift your ingredients down as fine as possible. I sift everything that goes into my dorodangos with a 60 mesh flour sifter, and it made a big difference in how easy it was to get them smooth. and getting a good shine from the claypowder. Thans again for your hard work @Dorodango Noriko!
Wow! You’ve made so many of them!! 😭😭✨✨🙌🙌🙌🙌 I’m so happy!!! Dorodango is amazing, isn’t it? 🥹💓 It’s so fun, you just can’t stop making them. Dorodango truly brings so much joy, and I believe that if people all around the world played and enjoyed making them, it would bring balance to the mind, body, and thoughts, creating a more peaceful world! Please do involve your friends too!

Wow. Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I’m so happy that you liked it! Please have fun trying to make it yourself! 😊🩷
I remember doing something like this as a school project only we used ceramic clay like stuff like this starting with a marble size of desired shape with a hookup to make it into neckless mine was a star fire it paint with ceramic paint fire it and shine it put a layer on top of it enough that it was covered and a ball shape fire paint fire shine repeat 30 times with 1/4 inch thickness each time we did a good thing we broke a layer when we got the trinket we got a 24k gold chain to put it on and we repeated for next one we made around 20 of them each I had to move after I got my first one it was a fun thing been thinking of doing something like that have a piggy bank with calendar put money in every month poke holes for each day to put pins in to track days break layer for next month to show my B-Day is Jan 3 so all saved money will be inside the December calendar the last layer so break it on first of Jan or 3rd of course I will not count how much money I will put in have some in from biggening add random amount each month think that will be cool
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful memory! It’s so interesting that you did such a great project at school✨ Your new idea for the piggy bank and calendar is really unique! I hope you give it a try! I’m cheering for you 😊💓 Let me know if you make something new!

ummm.... what is clay? or how to know if I found clay or just mud? or is clay just mud? or is clay just dirt?
Clay layers refer to the clay-rich soil found underground, but it varies by location! 😊✨ Since I don’t have a garden and live in an area where digging isn’t allowed, I buy clay and sand! 😊 It’s so much fun, so give it a try! 😆💓💓💓

Soap? I’ve never made it before! Soap made from vegetables and fruits sounds amazing! I’m really interested! 😍💓
This can take way longer than you think. I’d say up to 36 hours just to make one.
@@JohnCavitt It really does take a lot of time, but it’s so much fun, isn’t it? 😆✨✨✨
A suggestion: make a troubleshooting video, wherein you do everything wrong: don't properly mix the sand/clay before adding water, too much water vs. not enough, incorrect ratios of sand to water. I think it would be helpful to have signs to look out for (e.g., "if you knead for more than 10 minutes and it doesn't become sticky, it could be one of these things" and so forth). : ) I'm asking for mercenary reasons: I'm working on one and know I got the proportions right (well, mostly; I added 21 grams of water), but in the kneading step it doesn't seem to want to become sticky, and I'm wondering if I insufficiently mixed the clay and sand or something.
@@Jackalgirl I see! If kneading and kneading still doesn’t bring out the stickiness, it might be that the clay has low viscosity. It could be helpful to increase the ratio of clay! Understood! It seems like a video showing how I would handle such situations would be well-received too! Thank you for your wonderful suggestion! ☺️💓
@@DorodangoNoriko-u3x Thank you! I am using white Kaolin clay, which is probably not at all the right kind of clay; adding more water did seem to help, but I will also try changing the ratio of sand (grog) to clay too!
