I'm doing a review on this machine now and agree with everything you've laid out about this machine. It's so close to being a great machine but it just needs some tweaks. The focus lever alone is so much nicer than a lot of others, but I find myself going back to the ACMER P2 when I actually want production piece or just turn back to my CO2.
I just ordered a Roly, can’t wait for it to arrive! 😊 - I notice you always wear your laser eye protection glasses and was wondering where you got them and what you recommend? I know the Lasermatic enclosure should be sufficient to protect eyeballs but an extra layer of protection is probably wise, right?
I just wear them for fun when I do videos. I never wear them with using my Roly. They came with the Ortur LM3. If you want good protection, I would watch the video by Ventauri on eye protection. Keep me posted on how you love your machine!
Sadly, ive had my mk2 less than a week and it’s got problems . Circles started going egg shaped and the gantry started to squeak real bad. Adjusting the belts, nuts and squared the unit a few times but it’s never quiet right and tinkering just makes it worse
After pulling the side panels apart, they didnt tighten down many of the internal parts on the left belt side. It all came apart but i was able to get the side back together and it is much smoother
I (unfortunately) bought the delta thinking I would love the wifi, screen, etc. So, what is the purpose of them spending time developing this vs focusing on the delta? I WILL be buying a roly, as I'm not impressed with Algo as it seems they are only interested in sales. Haven't bought an enclosure because of the panel and lack of camera, etc.
Yeah, I think the Roly is a great way to go. Use my link of course from my reviews :p. Sorry you got something you are not happy with. Not sure why they made some of these decisions. I bought the Ortur LM3 and it turned out to be terrible. It is a journey and we learn along the way :)

Makes me wonder if anyone that actually uses lasers, makes lasers. At least for these diode and prosumer market machines? Seems like a thing so simple to address without having to put a wonky product out first...I mean, I used to have a clapper for my Christmas tree. The digital circuitry or mechanical "switchery" to choose when to turn your machine controls on/off, isn't sophisticated.

Yikes! I would get them to fix it right away or return it. Using it could make it worse. Keep us posted on how it goes.

I often wonder the same. I think Roly may be the only company I can confirm gives a shit.
Poor quality and customer service is a joke. Algo so disappointed
Thanks for leaving your thoughts. Can you elaborate?
