Yes, not 100% but really slowed it down notably. If i wanted a perfect solution now i would drill out and apply new rivets in the leaky spots

Agreed! I ran 50# mono leader with a double uni knot to my 40# braid that day, and fought several big fish before getting stuck on a rock. He was fishing for sheepshead, this one bit a sand flea 🤷‍♂️

@paddleandhook I have a 10 year old Chevy that's nice and I want a bigger boat but MAN they're 3xpensive as hell. I know 2 people that owe almost 100k each on boats. And the one I want is 300k

@@Connor4x4 i hear ya man. Im in a similar situation. I just took a captains job as a side hustle, to at least get me on the water and get paid a while. Its the easiest way i could get in w bigger boat-someone ELSE’s boat, but hey it still counts. Had to work hard for that captains license though… What kind of boat are YOU wanting to get?

If im correct, that boat starts (base price) around $170k. The pair of 300s on the back cost more than some cars! By the time the electronics are in place and everything is good to go, with the truck ($100k+truck), thats a SWEET set up-with a hefty price tag.

The first time i drove skyline drive i kept heading south. When i reached the smokies a fog bank was holding in place. As a young guy i assumed it was why they were called the smokies 🤪

I have grown to love fishing for this species. Their patterns are fairly predictable and they fight hard, also feed day and night. ❤️ especially in bad weather 😆

@@paddleandhook oh haha yea but definitely some places in va are becoming more overdeveloped i don’t live in this exact area but pretty close so i see it often but where i do live it’s becoming more overdeveloped more buildings apartments etc are being built which makes me sad cause the beauty of the area is being covered for example there was this spot a few years ago we would drive past to school and i would think how pretty it is cause there weren’t any buildings just the view was beautiful but now there is a whole new apartment and multiple new coffee shops fast food place and gas station which is sad

Agreed, LOL. However, the European settlers and native Americans didn’t know about the VOC’s specific to the flora in the area that causes the human eye to notice the blue tint to a higher prevalence. This doesnt occur to the same degree in other climates with a different species profile.

They were stuck to a vinyl seawall. I found a few more nearby. Never saw them here before this year!!

So, this worked well for a season to really slow down the leak, but ultimately the best way to fix it was to drill out and replace the rivet in the ling run. This boat goes in some pretty good chop sometimes so the gluvit wasnt able to hang with those demands

Youre probably right! I read about it online and may have taken some creative license when pronouncing. The leaks did come back after a season of pounding but remain minimal so i would say it has been an effective product

Thats a good idea!! I eventually removed my seat and covered the bench in seadek, which looked clean and worked alright. No back support, but thats ok
