From Peasant to King: K. Rool's 10 Year Smash Bros Campaign Retrospective In this King K. Rool retrospective, I historically document the events of Smash Brothers speculation and what it meant for K. Rool, the Donkey Kong franchise, and the entire Smash speculation scene as a whole. Director Masahiro Sakurai was the one with the final decision, so his perspective also gets a lot of analysis, as...
Top 14 Worst Dragonball GT Villains | Ranking every GT Villain from Best to Worst
Переглядів 15 тис.2 роки тому
Dragonball GT was bad enough to cause a 17 year gap before Dragonball Super, so it's worth taking a deeper look into its worst problems. While GT does have some good villains such as Baby Vegeta and Omega Shenron, we're not discussing those here. We're going to look at the very worst of Goku's foes to see how the series failed. All of the villains brought back during 17's arc are also included,...

Dragon Ball GT isn't without strengths, and it contains some fairly inventive villains, even if it doesn't always follow up on the execution. GT has had been panned far and wide as inferior to other forms of Dragonball media, but does it have any redeeming qualities? Are any of the villains worth looking at besides Baby Vegeta, Omega Shenron, and Super Android 17? Are there even enough Dragon B...

Good video! Certainly not the picks I would have made but nothing wrong with that at all. Did you intend this as more subjective or objective? (or do you believe that this is ultimately ONLY able to be subjective?) Just curious, either way I still like your list and the video a lot! <3 Love your channel!
I never actually got to fight fredrick until today. I think he sits in a very good spot for final boss difficulty and i had a lot of fun with the unique arena and varied attacks. Gameplay videos make him look a lot easier than he is. Very fun boss fight, I only played freeze and returns but he’s easily my favourite boss out of the 2 games
1:13:20 thats such a weird stretch
Tanabe should have been the highest ranked villain on this list
I'd definitely love to see a ranking of the villains from Z
Back then, it was funny how Rawk Hawk got his ass beat by a Toad, but now that we can fight that Toad, hot damn, can we blame him?
Honestly for all the faults people give country 3 and dk64 they easily have the best boss lineups in the donkey kong series imo, 64 especially has one of the best final bosses in any Nintendo game imo and I’m kinda contempt not seeing k rool much anymore since that entire finale was literally as perfect of a sendoff to him as humanly possible
Giving Cortex' Music in Crash 1 a 2.5 out of 5 is straight up criminal.
Honestly, Lord Fredrik is HEAVILY underrated. You can tell Retro wanted to use K. Rool due to the fact that the entire game is literally just the Kremlings, but they are ice-themed creatures rather than jungle-themed crocodiles. And Fredrik is no exception, he has the exact same build as K. Rool. I think one big problem with him is that he doesn't really have much personality outside of "I'm evil and I want to take over your island." He felt more like Retro wanting to use K. Rool, but perhaps there were licensing issues at the time...? So they just decided "Let's make this game ice themed and make the villain look like K. Rool." I still love him, though.
I’m fine with Fredrick being a new villain, I don’t need k. rool to be here. The problem is that he just sucks. He has barely any personality, (heck every boss before him has more personality than him) there was no point in him being a mystery because his reveal is trash, and the actual boss almost entirely consists of waiting around for the 1 opportunity to hit him, which is way to hard to do, and if you fail he goes back to the background and you have to hit him there, WHICH DOES NO DAMAGE SO ITS JUST A WASTE OF TIME. Fredricks problem isn’t that he’s not k. rool, the problem is that he’s just bad
25:50 : Probably to be a relief from the first phase.
If the third one had been made in China, Kai would have been a ghost, a spirit bound to the world by his resentment, and Oogway would have been a martial god.
Of course, with the TTYD remake, there are some minor alterations for some villains. Most notably Atomic Boo, who has their own boss theme (and it's actually pretty good). Then there's probably one of my only strong disagreements, being the Scissors theme, which I consider a 9 or 10.
Also, I think Macho Grubba is the best one. And with the remake, the cinematics really amp up the character. Plus I love the new boss theme for being extra intimidating (both in intensity and eerie-ness).
I believe many of Fredrik's attacks are homages to previous bosses, which is a nice touch!
1:24 - This is not true the new "Pacifica" world is unlocked by simply completing Cotton-Top Cove and Mekanos and getting the Turbo Ski.
I love these games as a kid when i play on the emulator
This list is missing kroktopus
I will give Lord Fredrick something over K. Rool, his boss fight has a lot more going on than the iconic kremling to keep you on your toes, but the fact that Fredrick does drop hearts in his boss fight makes it a litte easier that K. Rool, I would say though that Lord Fredrick definitely deserves a high spot on the list, but I am not sure I could rank him higher than Kaptain K. Rool, the fact that K. Rool is literally shooting DK with cannonballs and taunting Diddy with the titular ape gives Kaptain K. Rool a higher presence that Lord Fredrick. Again, I have to give the developers credit for trying to develop a new villain for DK so K. Rool did not become a generic Bowser clone and Lord Fredrick is a tremendous improvement over the Andross clone that is Tiki Tong so you can tell the developers definitely were taking fan feedback when designing the character.
Beldam is an underrated antagonist.
Colonel Pluck at least has a good boss theme.
Putting Belcha above Tiki Tong is absolutely outrageous
Papu Papu never dies he was simply knocked out
Super Android 17 is so much of a loser, he didn’t even make it into Sparking!Zero’s base roster, but Super Baby 1 did.
3 DKC Tropical freeze bosses in the top 5 and 0 arguments shows how good that game is
I love tiki tong although the boss fight is easy but the atmosphere music and design is incredible also the cutscene is cool
It should be crash 2 final boss as last
I cant blame you but uhhhh you forgot to include Kroctopus from the GBA version of DKC3. I'm sorry if a lot of people have already pointed this out but I couldn't find any comments about it.
I think he’s aware
Dogadon may seem pretty generic, but I'll always give him a point for being a dragon with DragonFLY wings.
I am one of the few that prefers CR to TF, but I have to agree. Some of the boss fights in TF are really well made and are one of the things I can't argue with.
I like how he starts with the first ever boss and ends with the last boss (as of August 2024)
You forgot Kroctopus
As a Modern Paper Mario defender, I actually really liked your work here. This video had some pretty funny moments. Also, kudos to you for putting some villains from 64 and Super below some Sticker Star ones. I would say Color Splash Kamek and Iggy are far worse than Sticker Star Bowser, though.
I think you did your math wrong. Isn’t N. Gin from CB2 36.5, not 35.5?
Cortex in CB2 should have been a 0 on difficulty. At least with Papu Papu you could die
Thought I was the only one who noticed how little dingo Dingodile actually has
Agree on Papu papu. 1st bosses should have some substance to them. Look at stage dive from It's about time. That fight is amazing.
Finally, somebody who appreciates Kai as much as I do!
How dare you not rank the incredible villains of the Jabbis from TTYD chapter 2? This is unforgivable, they’re just SO memorable and well characterized, and their fights are awesome! Disliked, reported for misinformation, and blocked.
where would whacka go
Whacka doesn’t seem all that malicious when you fight it, and it’s perfectly justified to attack Mario in response after the abuse Mario gave it. Whacka claims it’s boss fight is just “playing”, after all. For all intents and purposes, Mario and company are the ones in the wrong.
Nowhere. He's just a silly guy, just very strong.
Bowser in PM64 was so full of life, his character was somehow goofy and serious all at once, with his dialouge especially in the "Diary" section of Peach's section after chapter 1, this applies to every character in PM64 being vibrant, but Bowser does it best.
For such an amazing series, the bosses do frequently suck
Why Is Fredrik Called A K.Rool Rip-off? He's In The Same God D@mn Series You Can't Be A Rip-off If Your In The Same Series As Someone Who People Say Your A Rip-off Of
so does 5 on the theme mean it’s good? u best not be talking shit on Larry’s theme edit: eat shit
Man, Jungle Beat was a great game. The disrespect is crazy
You forgot two. In Donkey Kong Land 3, the fight with Bleak is completely different. In a level of DK64, you go into a giant mechanical fish and "fight" it's heart in a sort of enemy rush. On another note, I think it would have been cool in DKCR how after you 100% everything, once you get to the secret bonus level with all the floating fruit, that you fight King K. Rool being controlled by one final Tiki.
Wait people find the underwater Tropical Freeze boss hard?
"tanabe triology" my brother in christ, tanabe was the producer since super paper mario it's so weird how paper mario fans try to put everything they don't like in the games as tanabe's fault, like he's the only person designing the entire game. hell, he's not even the director, he's just the producer, it just feels like people want a scapegoat to put all the blame and forget that making games is a colective effort. also, the reason olly doesn't like bowser is because he's paper- king olly hates all paper folk, but he hates toads the most
The problems of the new games are definitely a more corporate initiative, though Tanabe didn't try very hard to resist the mandates.
What about Despicable Me 4?
Some things about tape, the blade is supposed to be brass knuckles and his tape holder is a car!
Ok watching more of the vid, the stapler probably has THE MOST story relevance of the los, as hes the one responsible for preventing the origami soldiers from returning to normal
Ok, continuing to watch, I think count bleck wasn't doing the whole "destroy everything cause my love is dead" but moreso, in his grief he looked to the dark prognostacis, and resigned his free will, this can kinda be seen with how he talks in the third person for most of the game, usually ending scentences with "Says count bleck" but when he talks outside of the prophecy, out of script, he doesn't say that, instead he refers to himself with I and such.
There’s some certified bangers in the original Crash trilogy, even if they aren’t as plentiful as something like the classic Donkey Kong Country titles. Crash 2’s jetpack stages, the motorcycle levels, hog ride, crash 3’s main theme, and the final boss from 2 are all great, especially in the N. Sane remake. Always happy to contribute to the algorithm like this.
