    I love the by Annie bags. Just need to get some of the costs down. Love her zippers, etc. am wondering if it costs less to get a bundle directly from her web site instead of at my local shop buying an individual zipper for each project. Her mesh, vinyl, foam stabilizer, all excellent products. I guess everything is getting very expensive anymore.

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations 25 днів тому

      @jacqulineanndesigns8158 I have the same problem, I love all her products but it can get very expensive to make a bag. I now buy other zippers and pulls in bulk as it save so much money. I still use annies mesh, but that's about it, I now source the clear vinyl elsewhere. I do sell #4 zipper tape and pulls plus bag locks, etc, through my fb page.

      @@kckreationsyes. I am looking at a replacement for the soft n stable. So far nothing near me here in Texas. A friend told me of a local quilting store that has an alternative brand that she has found works the same and holds its shape and everything like the soft n stable. I would like to support Annie’s business by purchasing from her. But the sewing , quilting, and crafting industry can be quite a money pit. And if you don’t find ways to save money, you no longer get to do what you love. For instance, I was looking at purchasing some Liberty fabric here I. The US and it was almost 63 dollars a yard. All of the fabrics have gotten very high. But the liberty fabric has priced me out of even placing an order. Maybe at some point when I get to visit London again I will visit the Liberty store and splurge on a small amount. But honestly, I see so much absolutely gorgeous and high quality fabric available, that I really don’t think I would ever , even visiting their store, ever spend that.

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations 14 днів тому

      @jackiehorn3724 you might like to see if you can get the double-sided foam from Australia that I use as it may work out cheaper for you tho I'm not sure dur to shipping. I can't even afford to buy any tula pink fabric as it's $38 dollars au per meter here in Australia. Then combine that with everything else need and it doesn't make it a very cheap venture. Which is a shame to be honest how the economy has gone these last few years.

    • @jackiehorn3724

      @ yep. And a lot of people selling their stashes , estate sales and thrifted items for just barely less than what it cost brand new. So it’s getting hard to be a budget sewer.

      @gillianm1725 G'day thanks heaps for your gorgeous comment. Spotlight used to sell it, tho I haven't been there in 12 mths. You could try some of the other fabric shops. I also got some from voodoo rabbit. I will check out Clark rubber shop online for you. I couldn't find any on their website other than the antibacterial clear grip and you wouldn't want that one due to it not being smooth. But in spotlight got to the curtain upholstery section, not the fabric section, and you should be able to find it there on really big rolls. Tho the smaller spotlights may not stock it. I know the one near ikea at slacks creek has it I just called them for you. Best bet would be to find out what grade the store is, slacks creek is a C grade any of the other stores if they are below that probley wouldn't stock the clear vinyl. I hope this helps.

      Thank you very much for your reply and kind efforts in calling and asking on my behalf too! I will have to try my local spotlight or lincraft in person... I was looking online, but I believe in person is easier. I didn't think of the curtain section so thank you very much! 😊 I didn't know they graded spotlight stores! How do you find out what grade they are? That is very handy to know! 😊

      Sorry to be a pain again, but is there a soft and stable equivalent here do you know? I'm dying to make this bag and getting something from America will take forever 😢😅

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations 3 місяці тому

      @gillianm1725 You're not a pain, I'm happy to help. Yes, there sure is. It's what I use it's a double-sided foam. I don't use the actual soft and stable as it's too expensive. I usually buy the double-sided foam by the roll. It's $300 for a full roll, but if you wait till they have it on sale you get it for $150. But you can also buy it per meter, which you may want to do if it's not on sale when you go. Are you in Kckreations Facebook group? If so I can send you a message with the picture of the label and also the bar code as most of the time they don't know what you want when asking about it in store. Also is you call the store and just ask what grade they will happily tell you.

      @kckreations 3 місяці тому

      @gillianm1725 the double-sided foam I use the brand is" Birch" and it's fusible interfacing foam. I get the double-sided foam one but they do have a single sided foam also. In the video's i refer to it as soft and stable but i do also state that the one I use is a double-sided foam. I refer to the foam as soft and stable due to not wanting to confuse anyone that's watching due to it being in the pattern.

      @lindahammond1154 Thanks so much Linda yep I'm super happy. I just have one bit left, and then it will be all gone. I see the specialist for my post op check up in November, and he will let me know when the next one is. I so don't want it this year. I've had enough, but next year I'm good with, so I will for sure find out in November. But all clear in 1 section yay.

      @ninathompson1869 to be honest, the binding went on easy. I had just run out of patience with it by that time is all, but it's a very quick bag to make. Well, it should have been, haha🤣🤣🤣. I've started on the next one all ready, got it all and there alot of it cut out yesterday just need to quit which will take a little time, as I want to do a little fancy quilting on some of it.

I've had enough for the moment, but in the area that was checked yesterday, yes, all gone. 🙏 I'm happy that my tutorials help you as they can be very confusing sometimes.

    Do you know the purpose of the small piece of velcro?

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations 3 місяці тому

      @venessahorne8803 yes it holds the strap together that then holds the pages in the folder/case. So when you open it they don't fall out unless you undo the strap. I hope this helps explain it for you. Thankyou for supporting my channel, please leave a like if you like the video. Many thanks from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
