  • The Legend of Zelda is my favorite game franchise of all time, and the original game for the NES is still a masterpiece to this day. With a semi-open world, phenomenal dungeon design, great combat, tons of great items, and the classic story we know and love, The Legend of Zelda is one of the best games ever made.

Ok I subscribed. Add some clips of the game and invest in a pop filter and you’re on your way to being the UA-camr you want to be.

Love your enthusiasm. I only half finished TLOZ on my Gamecube (was on some Windwaker bonus disc) back in the day. Must go back and give it another shot.

Thank you! 😁 I completely forgot that bonus disc existed, that's so sick! Definitely go back and play it again if you'd got some time.

It’ll be a lot of work, but once you add some gameplay clips to help people visualize what you’re saying, I think you got something going for you!

I think it's inevitable. I would be so pumped for a remake in the launch window of the next Switch.

I'm saving this video for later but the original Zelda is probably still my second favorite. I played it as a kid on my gba through the nes classics line of games. I'm nostalgic for it and it is still amazing. Lots of people criticize it for being archaic but I disagree. Just use the map provided in the manual and you'll be fine.

That's awesome! My favorite is Link to the Past and I think that has a lot to do with me playing it a ton of the GBA as well. Even without a manual it's not too bad. I like that they included the map in the manual back in the day - such a neat idea.

This haircut is much better, but you still need some better lighting, big shadow right on your face. Good job 👍

Kinda messed up when you think about the fact that the original Legend of Zelda is actually towards the ending of the darker timeline where Ganon originally won. (Ganon wins in Ocarina of Time.) It also explains why Ganon is *already* in possession of the Triforce of Power at the start of the game. In the Sacred Realm death apparently isn't permanent, as even though Ganon was defeated in A Link to the Past, Ganon notably never set foot in the physical world in that game. Zelda 2's story tells that Ganon's followers literally need Link's blood to resurrect Ganon, so it seems to suggest that he can only be killed when manifested in a mortal form. There are no games after Zelda 2.
So what all this means is: This is the only version of Link to have actually, truly KILLED Ganon. As in, dead. Not dormant, not a spirit waiting to be reborn. Dead. Assuming Link dies a natural death, there's no coming back for Ganon in this timeline. Hm now that I think about it, in that way it kinda makes Ocarina of Time's Link losing into a good thing. It led to the one timeline where Ganon was finally ended. The other two timelines are still ongoing.

Read this a bunch of times. Really cool analysis, I don't think I've ever thought about each of the timelines and their implications. GOAT comment 👌👌👌

@@retroreviews_ Haha thanks, it also just occurred to me that this full-on Dr. Stranged its way to that one in 14 million outcome where Ganon dies.
