Something I'll never understand about myself: I played 3, to completion, as my first XC game. As a whole, I did not like it. Not to say it didn't have memorable moments, but the experience was not worth my time or money as a whole. ...yet... I can't help but look at the franchise fondly afterwards despite that. For whatever reason, I *want* to play 1 and 2, even though I've confirmed with myself that I don't like the gameplay of these games. Heck, I've been considering replaying 3 for awhile now, even though I know I didn't like it. ...has anyone else had this happen to them?

It always baffles me seeing just how damn massive the Mor Ardain titan is in comparison to the other titans, and meanwhile the explorable area is comparably pretty small.

There was discussion before FR that Alvis could've gone to Mira, but you just made me realize these games don't need to be chronologically aligned to be linked by reminding me of the Gate still being the door to the multiverse. For all we know, Alvis could've STILL gone to the world of X, did whatever they could to help in the background, COPIED AND IMPRINTED THE BLUEPRINTS OF THE LIFEHOLD knowing the future of Bionis and Alrest and preparing in advance for them to make their own Ark, and went back to Bionis while reverting in order to preserve the data and make it easier to extract. In other words, you have just raised the possibility to me that the lifehold blueprints could be the gift from Alvis Melia mentioned.

I love how ironic vids like this have become when the game in question ACTUALLY DOES GET A REMASTER/MAKE. I didn't have a Wii U, but I didn't want one at the time only bc XCX, Skyward Sword, and this one dungeon crawler were the only game I wanted at time. But, y'know. I bit the bullet. Me personally, I LOVE MCs I can make and be myself over preset MCs. Don't get me wrong, I like the characters, but I never feel quite as invested bc they aren't ever MY stories. Also, I LOVE Sawano's music. So, for me, XCX was actually my favorite game for a lot of the reasons for why most fans of the trilogy 'didn't' like it. The fact that it 'wasn't' a typical JRPG was really a plus for me. Literally the only thing I liked about the main trilogy was Rex getting a harem, that was literally it.

Even if it was only in the background of a scene, they somehow managed to connect Xenosaga with Xenoblade. So they will also find a way to link Xenoblade X with the new content of the DF version with the rest of the Xenoblade parts

I mostly play games for their story but gameplay factors in for me a lot too. I'm glad to see its combat is still great, its exploration looks way better than any Xenoblade since it's open world and the main trilogy is only semi-open world. Sci-fi and fantasy are two of my favorite genres and while the trilogy has _some_ sci-fi it's vastly overshadowed by the fantasy setting while X seems to reverse that purely by looking at the trailers. Looking at X I was worried I wouldn't like it because I heard its story isn't that great, but hearing you say that it was supposed to have the most grand story of all and that only like 30-40% of the original story made it in, makes me excited for the future of X, since Monolith has expressed interest in making an X2 and now that the Klaus saga from the main trilogy has ended, I wonder if they'll start making an X sequel now, before returning to the main series. XCX:DE is shaping up to be one of my favorite Xenoblade games so far! I wonder if it can beat my personal favorite, XC3?

I rather prefer the theory that the Klaus saga delves into what happens to Earth, while the Xenoblade X line follows the humans that escaped Earth before Klaus actions, even to the point of encountering a planet to live under the flag of the US. This explains why it is more mechanized, less fiction and more sci-fi than the main saga. And it would lead up nicely to Xenosaga's attempt of these humans ti return to Earth after thousands of years. The only caveat are the presence of nopons, which are the sole species that directly connects both Xenoblade stories. I guess there will arrive a time where the story will delve into how nopons appeared in the first place, as it appears to predate Klaus's actions. Regarding the images of XenoX concept art, recall that most of these ideas were actually implemented in xc2, such as the space lift. It doesn't mean that Mira will have it.

The Logos thing for the Blade acronym is from the japanese version. It was changed for our (awful) localization.

I love XC2 but I would love a DE with the following additions/changes: 1) A more functional and intuitive UI. This is something MS have improved on so much since XC2 and it's an easy fix that would help raise a barrier for so many 2) Better sound mixing. I want to be able to hear the dialogues in major cutscenes over the loud music! 3) Make the game actually playable in Handheld mode. XC1DE and XC3 did well enough in this aspect but with Switch 2, this should be an easy fix Now for the more controversial stuff: 1) Re-record some of the voice lines, if possible. Especially some of Rex's early game dialogue 2) Have a more consistent art-style for the blades. And better NPC design. Another thing that 1DE and 3 did so much better on

Xenoblade X was one of my first ever video games and was always my favourite over the last decade. I'm so happy so see it get some more love.

Please no. The rest of the industry is obsessed with remasters already. The only reason it made sense for Xenoblade and X was because they were on systems many people don't have (anymore). With Switch 2 being backwards compatible there is no reason to re-release anything. Just give me new things please.
