I've noticed similar (even in this video when resampling the paulstretch sounds). It seems to me like the default volume setting is quieter, but if you move the volume up to max it's at or near parity with the original sample. There’s no polyphony in sound generator. So if you want to use sounds from sound gen to play chords, this is a way to workaround the monophonic limitation

I think serato studio has stem splitting but idk about actual dj live performance tools that use it

some sample I chopped up, don't recall where I got it but I think it was from a vinyl or something

I'm not familiar with android, but Koala Sampler is definitely on there. If the Moog model D and anything from AudioKit Pro are on there, I'd definitely recommend those as well

Thank you Grzegorz, glad you’re digging the videos! To your questions, I’ve only used koala on iOS, but it’s worked with the latest bus fx update on my old iPhone XS, 2018 iPad Pro and my current iPhone 13 Pro. So it should be pretty flexible power wise. I love the SP404 mk2 and have a lot of videos on here with it, but if you’re brand new to sampling, koala is only $5 so you can see if you like that style of workflow first and then get the hang of how to use it. From there, you could then check out the SP as koala and sp work officially now and can do awesome stuff when combined.

@@sunwarper Thank you very much for your respond. Koala🐨 looks really awesome, but unfortunately is one little problem 🤔iPad. A few minutes ago I have conversations with one lad which use Koala as well, and at Android system is unstable, doesn't work well. He switched to iPad. But iPad cost a bit, I have some vst staff and I think that Roland will be great choice. I know, if I get it, I will learn a lot from your channel. Finger cross for it. Thanks again, keep going what you doing but your baby👶 is still most important 👍

Cheers, I didn’t even know there was a Koala fb group, just joined it! I pitched the samples because I like the way repitching colors the sound. With that said, it never hurts to repitch if you’re worried about that.

Interesting, I've never had a problem with Cassette Sim triggering the wait, did you try lowering the hiss and age settings? That app sounds amazing though, any others like it you'd recommend checking out?

@@sunwarper But I want the noise! I kind of wish it would start when you hit play but I get why it is why it is. Any of the scaper apps by Rob Jackson are gold for ambient. You can set a key and tempo, get a vibe easy. I’d combine it with COSM in AUM and call it a day.. pretty sure COSM just became Bloom with the addition of Enos samples.

I suppose you could use the count in record type but I hear you, it frustrates me when I want to resample with 404 noise and wait gets triggered. I’ll check those apps out, thanks!

Nice, there's also those session drummers (idk if garageband has it, but Logic for sure). Throwing on some bitcooker in the bus fx is my go to drum setting on Koala, makes everything sound like a retro sampler with that nice grit.

Not to my knowledge, would be nice to see though. Something for a future update maybe?

Hey, I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking, sorry. If by seamless you mean an exact measure, like setting 4 bars and it does 4 bars, yeah it does that. If by clipping you mean distortion, that happens only if you’re using a few overdubs of fx like compression on bus 3 and 4. I’ve found when looping guitars with long reverb, I like to turn the instant overdub on when recording my first loop, this way the first overdub catches the reverb tail at the end of the loop so the intro has a little of the end

That's great to hear. I use Logic too, but honestly, mainly create now on the SP because I like it's workflow & simplicity so much. If you use Koala, you may find a lot of similarities and they actually have official integration between the two now! I've yet to try Logic on the iPad (as I don't like the sub only thing) but am going to try the free month soon. Great to hear you're vibing with it though!

I've never checked out Cubasis, but I like the sound of no subscription haha Audiokit is so good for real!

@@sunwarper I used to use Cubasis quite a bit, but in reality, I use it just for the Halion Sync Sonic library to sample those sounds at this point. That Yamaha S90ES Piano preset in particular. It's the nicest sounding piano on IOS that doesn't require a bank roll.

That still works! If you've got logic on a laptop you could always stem split in there, or do Koala stem split... but it's pretty artifacty

I'm using koala the sp404mk2 plus a minilogue xd bass station 2 and a korg mini kaoss pad 2s I don't use it all at the same time, but I've been toying with those. I'm still learning the SP404. I can't wait till I'm proficient enough to where I don't have to look up videos. If anyone has any good advice, shoot it my way, I'd love to hear what you have to say
