I have the proX and purchased the ProX2. I had to return it for the ANR cut out issues. Even if you wait to turn it off on the ground and only use it in the air, the moment the wheels touch down on landing it will cut out. I found it very distracting. They changed the way it processes sound and where the mike pickups are. My old dc pro X does not cut out. Sadly once it dies I’ll have to find another headset because the ProX 2 is a no go

Hello Rob, Thank you for that great introductory video on the EMB-145. I am soon going to be enrolling for a Type Rating for the EMB-145 and could use some advice on what material to use to get ahead prior to class date, I have access to 3 volumes on Avionics, AFM VOL 1 & 2, AOM VOL1 & 2, PRIMUS 1000, SOP, DDPM &MMEL and a couple more all adding up to over 10,000 page of overwhealming information. Please advice what material from the aformentioned books should I refer to get a good start prior to my class date. Also loved your video on Interview Prep. Thank you

For deadheading or commuting, how does the 410P for under passenger seats? I bought both the 390P and 410P but can't figure out which one will be best. It's hard to know without being able to test it under a seat or on an aircraft. I start IOE on the ERJ-175 in a few days.

I worked on the Embraer 135-140 and the Embraer 145 as a tech, I really miss that plane, it never broke, but when it did, it did 😂

The EMB-145 had an automated speed adjustment capability…just tell the co-pilot to adjust power setting as required…The End.

I’ve flown the ATRs, the 737s and now the EMBRAER 195 and the Brand-New 195-E2 and Yes, the English-Inspired Spread-out M-shaped yoke is one of my few complaints on this airplanes. The EMBRAER Preator has a much more well designed active side stick.

I would never buy another LW bag. Had a purdy neat stuff bag for nearly 15 years before the handle gave out. Had a Lw one for nearly 2 months. Garbage company. Garbage product. Steer clear.

Late to the party, but just got to the part about build quality and longevity. I´ve been using Clarity Aloft Classic for the past almost 6 years, got over 3000h with them (in GA and 737) and only now one of the earplug cables gave up. Truth to be said, I was not very gentle with them. But after trying multiple other headsets I´ve always said that once my Classic breaks down, I will just get a new Clarity Aloft. So I did, buying the Flex at this very moment. It´s just superior to anything else, mostly because of the versatility.

I'm a frequent flyer and this thingy is tops so smooth never had much turbulence during flights. And it has an amazing design looks like a fusion between an injection needle and a smaller version of the Concorde! Lol

Flying the EMB-145 was like driving my Chevrolet truck, a solid platform all the way around.

What about the LW Aurora. My LW stealth 22 handle is annoying, I have to adjust the teeth on the handle basically monthly because the metal handle wears down the metal teeth and it stops locking.

I´ve bought me a LugaggeWorks Stealth 22`` Rolling bag as my general suitcase. In a few weeks i´m going on my first ever comercial flight from Zurich to London. The question is: Can i use it as a big Carry On Bag or not ( Max. Size for the big Carry On is 56 x 45 x 25 cm for EasyJet) ? Regards from Germay

Hey man I have a question, I’m about to start on the 73 and I have the old school kit bag from Korchmar which I love but have been thinking about getting the Contrail as well. Do the old school ones fit in the cubby on the 73 or are they too big?

My pro x1 didnt hold up well over 5 years. The strain reliefs disintegrated, an ear cup cracked, and the electronics box cracked. Now it's in a lost-and-found box 2000 miles away so I ordered this x2. I don't love this headset but it's the one I hate the least.

Yes… Continental Express (which became ExpressJet) was the initial US operator (launch customer) of the EMB-145. The key difference between the Embraer jet and the Bombardier jet is the fact that the CRJ was derived from a corporate jet platform. The EMB-145 was derived from a proven Part-135 (scheduled airline service) platform. Some CRJ guys will cry foul… But, it’s true. I was privy to the comparative analysis done by Continental Express. And, it was no contest. Embraer built the first true 50 seat commercial airliner. Bombardier caught up with their follow on variants…

No real need to waste valuable mental hard drive space on memorizing esoteric aviation formulae. In your example of simultaneous approaches to parallel runways, ATC will handle all headings to intercept of the final approach course. That intercept will be 30 degrees or less when in IMC. During high volume VFR parallel operations ATC can’t afford a blown turn to final causing a loss of separation, so the traffic and the runway must be in sight. I believe you are correct in having a deep knowledge of these things helps us to have a keen sense of understanding as to what’s going on around and with our aircraft. Leading to a higher developed situational awareness. The 3 to 1 rule of thumb is a great one to get your mind around. But a 100 kt tailwind driving our ground speed to 580 kts changes the rate of descent from when we have a 100 kt headwind driving the ground speed to 380 kts and understanding that helps us stay ahead of the aircraft. Continuous study for "Understanding & Application" are the goal. Correlation will come with experience. Wrote memorization itself needs to be built on. Love the recommendation for cognitive training … Brilliant! Thanks for a good video.
