4:28 Gurdjieff has talked about a plane of reality comprised of knowledge that people can tap into but many do not, cannot, because they are busy with the games of the ego, which meditation can break down. Einstein said he didn't come up with his theory of relativity using his rational mind. In other words: he pulled it from this plane of knowledge, or rather it came to him when he needed it, much like what Lynch is describing. Meditation is one way to tap into this plane and become a vessel for ideas. Lynch is first and foremost a kind of esoteric yogi, films are just the outlet of his practice because at the end of the day, we all have to be someone.

One of the finest and kindest men that has ever walked this earth. His works have affected me in ways I didn’t think would be possible with film. Rest in peace Mr. Lynch.

There won’t be anything like his work released in our lifetimes again. One day there’ll be a renaissance but it won’t be in the next 50 yrs.

His complete disrespect of writing and misunderstanding of formula Vs form really explains why he created such nonsensical stuff. Interesting guy, but like all eccentric creatives, his musings are best taken as hindsight rather than insight.

its difficult. i know.meditation is good. its essential. theres another dimensyanother reality we dont understand. i sound crazy but ive been to the so called astral plane. ive had multiple obes. stress of work and life is what keeps my routine of non progression
