Anything will take time to get used to. I have been using iPhone for about 7 years. When I borrowed my friend's phone (Android), I had a hard time using the keyboard, because I kept pressing the wrong button when I needed to use numbers. You don't need to press X or < to exit or return. Just swipe right from the left edge, or swipe down from anywhere on the screen.

Familiarity is a dangerous thing. I must resist the temptation to replace my current iPhone with a new iPhone. It would be far more sensible to buy a Pixel 9 Pro next because I have seen how well Gemini AI works on my son's Pixel 8 Pro. By contrast Apple Intelligence invented news headlines about terrible things that had happened to people which were a complete fantasy.

The reason I stick with iPhone is because yes, I have all the ecosystem set up, and as I get older, I don’t like change. An iPhone is always pretty much the same layout. I don’t have to learn anything new. I don’t like change and everything will feel backwards with android cause I’m so used to the layout of iPhone and it just works so well so why change to something else and have to set up a whole new ecosystem frustration so I’ll never go to android. Also, I have used android in the past and honestly, I just don’t like it

I switched three years ago to an older 11 Pro it ran circles around my Android phones and beat them in photography by miles 😊 then last year I used a 12 Pro until last week I got my 14 Pro in Deep Purple… amazing phone with hands down the best camera set up I used on a mobile thus far! And yeah I admit I also gotten myself some AirPods and the watch ultra 😅 so the ecosystem is gonna get you but it works so seamlessly together that it’s worth it imho

Thank you for speaking my thought that the differences are less consequential than any potential compelling reason to make the change. In my case it's voice isolation during headphone use. My Android (Samsung zfold5) does not have it, and iphone does. I will be making the switch to iPhone and then keep an eye open for Android developing a way to call and send my voice without my background sounds being excruciatingly amplified to my callers.

When it comes to the back button in iphone you just simply have to swipe from either up to down(mostly present in social media apps)or swipe from left to right on the left corener of the screen(mostly in settings). For me android’s gestures are much annoying than apple’s. I think it has to do with something which are used to… you used android for a while, i used ios for a while. Takes time to get used to it

Jeez OMG folks in the comments here srsly need to get rid of their big-ar*e minority complexes.. Of course he did not "learn" the *entire* language in five days - so ppl be like "oH sO mIsLeAdInG YoU'rE cOnFuSiNg aNd sCaRiNg oThEr LeArNeRs" LOFL, just let him do his thing..? Just bc you folks cannot do after 5 yrs of studying what this guy managed in 5 days? Everybody with an IQ >20.5 can see what type of video this is gonna be, but yea just artificially pretend "wHo CoUlD'vE kNoWn!?" 😕 For those interested btw, I've transcripted his conversation from what I was able to hear, and wanted to comment a little on it.. He: こんばんはChatGPT、元気ですか。 (You were pronouncing its name quite アメリカ人的 - better would've been チャット GPT :) Chat: こんばんは、元気ですよ。 あなたはどうですか。 (plain textbook response X') He: あー、私も元気です。今は、YOUTUBEビデオを撮っています。それで質問があります。あなたのAIですよね? (2 things here.. First off, ビデオ is actually referring to an old tape video type - better would be using 動画 instead. Second thing would be the sentence where you were asking it if it's an AI - the particle の is not right here and should be は instead, while it is also common to add a なの/なん in these type of questions where you're curious about if a circumstance is actually being a thing, so the sentence would be like あなたはAIなんですよね?) Chatto: はい、その通りです。私はAIです。YOUTUBEビデオのために質問ですか。何でも聞いてくださいね。 (Nice to see how it is using your wording here - if you had said "UA-cam動画" before instead, it would've phrased it so either :) He: もう一つだけ、私の観客に自己紹介していただきますか。 (One slight but really minor stylistic choice would be け instead of き in いただきます - so it aligns more with the supposed to be "can" wording) GPT: もちろんです。こんにちは、私はチャットGPT-AIのアシスタントです。会話したり質問に答えたり色んなことをお手伝いすることができます。よろしくお願いします。 (I'm not 100% sure if I recognized its "GPT-AIの" correctly bc the transition from "A" onwards was a bit like a lengthened 'エー' sounding where the "I" didn't break through - so feel free to correct me if I misheard. The third sentence here is the first one in this conversation that goes beyond the common beginner's phrases and actually requires quite a bit of advanced knowledge about the language.. First off, the formulation in たり…たり usually needs する at the end but can be dropped in casual talk - it basically means "doing things as..." and GPT states here a quick teaser what u can do with it in "having conversations, answering questions" etc. 色んな is actually a casual way of saying 色々な (いろいろな) where the phonetics slur into each other - similar to なんか as 何か. The ん often likes to substitute の or に. お手伝いする is a humble formulation of the verb 手伝う - of course everything has to get lengthy when Japanese become super-formal :) He: ありがとうございます。もう一つだけ、日本語を学ぶのを手伝ってもらえますか。 (Great you're using the え this time. But in general, it would sound a bit more natual to use ください instead of もらう here - and since it is supposed to be a favor that you want ChatGPT to 'give' you, it is common to put it into the negative like 日本語を学ぶのを手伝ってくださいませんか。 "Won't you [give me the favor to] assist me with my Japanese studying?" This way of asking is less direct in its tone.) Chat: もちろん、お手伝いしますよ! 日本語の勉強に関する質問や練習したいことがあれば何でも聞いてくださいね。よろしくお願いします。 (rofl this thing sounds so much all the same across different languages even in Japanese X'D Staples like もちろん, using determining words in あれば and of course the や-particle just for that one nitpicky consideration in case there might be just more for it to do than it's already listing - さすが、チャットGPT! ) He: はい、それでいい。 ありがとうございます。 AI: どういたしました。 他に何かあれば何時でもどうぞ! (fun fact: どういたしました is just so annoyingly off translated as "you're welcome" since literally there just stands "how did..?", which by context extends to something like "how did [I help to get thanked]" expressed in a humble and somewhat rhetorical way - いたし is the 連用形 of humble 致す.) はい、もちろんです。 (When もちろん becomes ur 一番 response, everybody knows your JP-teacher was an AI XD)

Very impressive! I believe you. You planted the seed with 4 hours of study 6 years ago, and now your Japanese intuition is blooming. I think GPT could serve as a practice partner, but I guess human beings still can't be fully replaced. You made a grammar mistake, or perhaps it was an unclear pronunciation. GPT didn't point that out, although it repeats the correct sentence for you to notice it yourself. You said, "shitsumon ga imasu." It should be "shitsumon ga arimasu." "Imasu" is used for living beings, like "inu ga imasu" (I have a dog) or "tomodachi ga imasu" (I have a friend). "Arimasu" is used for non-living things. I agree that learning should start with what is most spoken on a daily basis. Are you going for a three-month experiment? I would love to see how much progress you make within that time frame.

    • @AlexNaunceff

Hey, thanks for the comment. Yeah, a teacher will be able to point out the mistakes right away, and that is why AI cannot replace a real person (at least not yet) I am planning to try out for 3 months (give or take), to see how far i can get with chat gpt, learning different phrases/words and try to mix and match to hopefully be able to have a general conversation (more than just a couple of questions and answers).

I tell you “this” and you will answer me “that”, and so on…” It’s so obvious that he doesn’t know Japanese, he is using different grammar structures in the same conversation(いただきます、です、もらう), no consistency, which ChatGPT most likely told him. I’m not hating, but this video is very misleading for people that REALLY want to learn the language. ChatGPT is good for language learning but it should not be the only source. Very cool application. I use it to learn everything too, it's often wrong though. I also use github copilot and codium. We're living in an explosive age of learning, but teachers are necessary to indoctrinate children, as there is almost infinite information but only a very small subset is required for them to become cogs in the machine. Of course, people who are intelligent have never needed teachers.

Ever since i found out about chat gpt,and about particularly its extremely high capabilities of teaching languages, I have noticed that i started accessing search engines like google way less often. Now you don't need anymore to access several websites and collecting bunch of information to find what you need. You're instantly given an answer like a real human would give you.

IMO the ING bank account bank is designed in a proper way - the security in such application is a must. I can imagine a situation when someone pickpocket your phone then could easily unblocked it with our face by just ranging towards you (it unlocks soooo weel :D). In Android solution is much safer in such situation. SAFETY over ergonomic/fancyness!

The only smartphones I’ve had have been an iPhone for the past 10 years, started off with a few basic phones from Verizon before switching to Straight Talk, who ironically enough Verizon has owned for a while. I’ve had the 4, 5S, 6, 8 Plus, and now I’m on the 15. All of my phones have been reliable outside of the 4 but even with the problems I had on that one (it was old for the time that my dad gave me as a phone to have) at least it still worked okay. I’ve always said this about Android phones, they focus more on the bells and whistles while the iPhone is focused on security, reliability, longevity, and functionality.

I don't know how you said iphone camera is good, most of the top photographer prefer flagship android ( S24 , Oppo Find X Series, Vivo X series) and as a photographer i too prefer flagship android bcz its way way better in Photography & Flexibility ( Full manual control, Expert RAW Lossless, Super Resolution ). Yes iphone has good in log video but its not a huge thing as flagship android is very neck to neck right now. I have tested both iphone 16 pro and S24 Ultra, and Vivo X series as well.

I went from the s22 ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max last year after 8 years on Android (and 8 flagships). I 100% agree with you about everything you said, including the iOS nitpicks 😂 The only Android phone that would probably persuade me back would be a pixel but they need to sort their chips first. For now, I’m getting cozy on apple’s ecosystem ❤

you aren't clear enough on the camera part... so the iphone's camera is better because it records video better for you to have the options for video editing? or because it simply looks good? which is it. i asked this because of the 2 biggest tech youtubers, one says the android camera quality is better and the other says the iphones camera is better. i also ask this because its shooting video that makes for better video editing does not make it the better camera since that has nothing to do with how good the video looks for people viewing it on the phones only, which is 99% of users that don't do video editing for professional work.

To put it in a few words for video (basic), iphone is better, it has less sharpness (looks more natural) and better colours (although the colours are personal taste). But for better results Log is an obvious choice. When it comes to Photo, android does look better in terms of colours (again personal taste here), although sharpness i think the iphone does a slightly better job since it can shoot 12 OR 24 MP default while the android you can only shot 12MP and if you want the full sensor resolution you will have to toggle that option. At the end, as i mention in the video, they got to a point where they are almost the same, the only difference will be how you would like the processing of the photo (colours/sharpness/dynamic range) to look like, and you can search for examples online for that. The only reason an iPhone is significantly better for video is the Log capability. If you don't care about it, than just look at online examples and chose the one that looks better for you (without post editing) Hope this helps.

Camera and spec. Video has always been top on iphones, but these days it´s remarkably close. I do still main my 16 Pro Max just because battery and 4/120 video. But Jan when s25 Ultra is out and 99% will have the 4/120 and then some i guess it could be my new main. :) That´s why i can main a Fold, my Fold 6 is SUp. in many ways but camera just Ok and nothing more.

    • @AlexNaunceff
      @AlexNaunceff 2 місяці тому

I think the S23 Ultra can do 4k 120p as well, if i'm not mistaken. Out of the cameras, for video, i think the Iphone just looks better but not by much, and for photo i prefer Samsung or Google pixel. The main reason why iPhone is significantly better for video is the Log capabilities, otherwise, when it comes to camera, i think they got to a point where they are almost the same, and the only difference is the color reproduction (which is personal choice). So i think whatever you chose (out of the latest flagships) you will be more than satisfied.

Correct me if I’m wrong but on an iPhone you can ..for example swipe down from the middle of the screen to go back from watching a story - or you can swipe from the left side of the screen inwards and that also takes you back most of the time 😅I’m not really sure how it works, but I personally kinda never need to try and find an X or a back icon somewhere on the top of the screen. If that was the case it would actually be stupid annoying I agree.
