This offense was humming when Jayden was always a threat to run (whether he chose to run or not) - they've neutered his threat to run ever since he got injured in the Panthers game. Run, Run (with backs), pass is their M/O lately and they are putting everything on Jayden to get them out of third and long situations.
It had to be because JD5 can’t take a sustained pounding in the run game. He already got hurt once this year against the panthers. We need to see him play under center; read defenses and operate the offense from the pocket at a high level. That’s how you beat the good defenses in the nfl

The Commanders not having a bye week until the season is almost over is a factor. Many of the players are banged up and not playing at a high level. While B Rob is good, he does not have the talent of a Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry, nor is he a tank like John Riggins was, who could bulldoze and drag several defenders for 6 or 8 yards to get the first down. Commanders also are not utilizing/developing Sinnot or McCaffrey. BTW, stats I saw for JD from his LSU days indicated he threw to the right 55% of the time.
Agree. Tight ends are not being utilized enough If we skid any more, get Sinnott involved more. Sinnott and Bates are decent blockers, but we need more variety in the passing game. One man's opinion.

I’m upset with the offensive performance overall and so that means Kliff along with the players. He is the OC so I’m looking to see him adjust and be creative when things aren’t clicking. More Terry, more creative runs, short quick game, use Luke and McNichols more. Still have confidence in Kliff and think he’s going to get things going again with some good game plans. It's a combination of things. Kliff is not calling an aggressive game like earlier. I may have missed it but I did not see any tempo until the last 6 minutes. The line is not playing as well. Teams are figuring out how to get pressure and stop the run game much better than earlier. Jayden is not as accurate. He is coming back to earth. Last, the WR room is not very good. Need to see more Luke. In the end we are still a year away. The teams needs more talent.
I'd like to point out that even though hes not the head coach, while he was the HC for Arizona, the Cardinals started seasons with an overall record of 23-14-1 through the first combined 38 games from 2019-2022, while finishing with a 5-23 record in the last combined 28 games. It goes back to his time at Texas Tech. The guy is an awful coach
He lost his starting QB to an ACL one year and lost another key player in another. It’s a trend. It’s worth paying attention to. It’s not that simple and he’s certainly not a bad coach

I'm much more upset with DQ than with KK, for not going for two after McLauren scored vs Cowboys. That was unconscionable, not to mention just bad logic. Your asking e a struggling kicker to give you one point to tie the game and go into overtime, where still either team can win, vs Jayden Daniels and only two yards for two points and game over. Ridiculous to choose the kicker over JD and the entire offense.
It would be nice to get into the playoffs, but with the holes this team has , it would almost be better to not worry about expecting too much this year . Philly is too strong right now and they couldn't even beat Dallas .

Clearly, I am not an analyst, which is why I watch you on UA-cam. I am but a humble fan. But I have eyes and when we only gained a yard or two or suffer a TFL, that says something to me. There are plenty of other teams who execute these screens effectively. So I guess my question is why do we fail to consistently execute them? Or, as I mentioned previously, is it a matter of execution? Or is it the wrong play at the wrong time? Or, as you say, could it be dressed up a little differently?
I think a combo of dressing them up differently so that teams don’t see it coming, calling them in different spots for the same reason, and execution. They’re running them for Dyami quite a bit, and he’s probably their best screen runner. Maybe a few more for OZ. I want Terry to get more looks, but he’s not the cleanest catcher of the ball, which hurts the timing when they run them for him. Ekeler gets a little predictable, so you have to figure out how to hide it with him. It’s all intricate, which makes it hard.
I feel like the “Kliff getting figured out” take is a terrible & lazy take. So I agree that The play calling is still gd, it’s just that the execution isn’t there now. Too many drops and missed throws. It’s kind of to be expected tho since the team was doing so well earlier in the season. Regression was to be expected.
