A channel dedicated to sharing the growth of my personal sport/non-sport card collection as I return to the hobby after a 20+ year break.
At the moment, I am focusing most of my attention on collecting vintage (Pre-1979) HOF players from all sports. I don’t have a focus on any particular HOF player. I don’t focus at all on any particular team.
I have also started to get into TTM’s for the first time since I returned to the hobby.
I love learning about the histories of the sports, the players, and the cards.
Thanks for taking the time to view my channel. Have a great day!

Congrats on the 64 Topps Bill Skowron auto! It's outstanding. I'm really enjoying the Monte Irvin autograph. He was such a great hitter, and fantastic player. I first met him in 2001 at Boston's historic Suffolk Downs when they had a short-lived show. Seabiscuit ran there twice in 1940. Anyway, I'm a huge fan of Lou Whittaker and your rookie would look awesome autographed! He's also got a 1978 Topps Burger King rookie as well which you may enjoy. I'm hoping Whitaker gets in the HoF! How can the put Alan Trammell in and not Sweet Lou? Wheat Thins are highly addictive!! I think tou did really well on the Catfish Hunter autograph cards. He's got a great 1966 Topps. Brooks was one of my all time favorite human beings, RIP. You know, Brooks signed a lot but he was so good to his fans and I would say that he transcended his sport as did Yogi and Phil Rizzuto did. I just bought Jim Palmer's 1967, 69, 71 and 73 Topps cards, and I didn't know he signs through the mail? It's funny that you can pick up Palmer, Steve Carlton, Tom Seaver and Bob Gibson are relatively cheap considering just how great they were. I mean didn't Seaver and Palmer win 3 Cy Youngs and Carlton 4? Correct me if I'm wrong on that. Honestly, I would rather face Christopher Walken in a dark alley than Bob Gibson on the mound. Gibson has a great autograph. I think a player run of his might be pretty challenging, especially his 1964 and 63 Topps, but could be really fun too.
Thanks Ryan! I was thrilled to win that Skowron auto. Even more excited when it showed up in such amazing shape! Sometimes the pictures don’t do it justice. That was definitely the case with that card! Irvin is such an underrated player. He was an amazing talent! That’s awesome that you had the chance to meet him! I know he used to be a signer at quite a few shows in the 90’s. I was always seeing him on guest lists. So happy to have an auto of his! I agree 100%! Trammell being in, and Sweet Lou not being in makes no sense to me. Both belong in the hall! I would definitely like to complete all the autos on that card, but will probably try to find one in better condition. I have been keeping an eye on both the Whitaker, and Trammel BK cards. They can be pretty pricey! Hopefully I can find one of each for a nice deal at some point. Couldn’t agree more about Robinson! Such a class act! RIP. Grats on the great Palmer pickups! I love his 1976 and 1977 cards with the orange uniform. Oh, I know! All of those players have cards that are way undervalued! To me, Gibson is right there with Randy Johnson as the most intimidating pitchers in history! I believe Gibson once said that he would hit his grandmother with a pitch if she crowded the plate on him. I believe him too! Sadly, his player run might be a little too difficult for me to try to take on. But I have his rookie on my want list of cards I would like to pick up sooner rather than later. Maybe some time next year. Have a great weekend!
So cool!!!
@@wvogs1850 Thanks Will!
wow, those Juan gones are super sweet. Also nice pick ups man
@@jedijohnny Thanks Johnny! Yeah, I really like the Juan Gone return! He has such a great signature! Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend!
Gave a video like. The '67 Cepeda is a sharp looking card, fun one to have multiples of anyways. That '71 of his is terrific. Never noticed that with the Billy Williams. I wonder if that happened with other cards in the set. Love seeing the Mean Joe Greene and basketball cards as well. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great Friday!
@@Hodges1455 Thanks Hodges! Yeah, from his MVP season! I just wish one of them had come without damage. I will be looking to get at least one more, lol! I love his ‘71! Such a great image with the black borders! I haven’t seen anything like that on any other 1973 cards. That’s why I am leaning towards it being a print defect more than anything. I appreciate you watching! Have a great weekend!
That Cepeda run is gorgeous. But come on. Mean Joe has to take the cake. He's Mean Joe! lol
Thanks Zach! Hard to argue with Mean Joe! Absolute legend!
I love the floating heads. Ttm crew is doing hair of the month. Pete maranage could be a winner one month with that floating head card
Thanks Jon! That is a pretty legendary stache!
Great baseball, football and basketball cards Tony! Your collection looks great!🎉 Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Alex! I appreciate it! Hope you are having a great week!
One time I got a Lou Pinella 70? and there was a big wax stain on front which always cleaned off, but it left a green cloud stain on his face.
Oh interesting! I wonder if that is what happened to the Billy Williams card?
@@senseidominoe15 That was the only time it ever happened.
I was considering a Billy Williams run but I don't have the patience, I just upgraded his 1962 Topps because the one I had was really upsetting (it was that border!) These are great, I 'm really turning around on the 1973 Topps. I used to hate them too. Funny how tastes change. I've had issues with that 1967 Topps Cepeda too. I think that people selling cards on ebay need to read up on grading standards. When I was at the Shriners Show over the weekend, I did buy a 1959 Topps Roberto Clemente for $40 because it had a crease. I didn't care cause I've never seen that card for that price. Congrats on the Cepeda run, and that 68 Yaz is killer!! 68is tough because ofthe centering but also the corners frey easily and make it look dirty. I can't wait to see the 67 Yaz - everyone should own that copy!
Thanks Ryan! Yeah, his run has been a bit more challenging than I was expecting. My 1962 Williams is sharp but very off center. I’m only happy with it because of how hard it is to find cards from that set that look nice. It is funny how tastes change over time. The 1973 set has never been one of my favorites from the decade, but I appreciate it. The back centering really bugs me. The fronts can have perfect centering, but the back looks almost miscut. Very interesting that you have had similar issues with the 67 Cepeda. Haha, I really think they should. I’m not super picky, but if it had a wrinkle, you really should mention it… What a great find! I would have been happy with that card at that price as well. Some cards are just nice to have in any condition. I actually won a pair of 1967 Yaz cards. One has better centering than the other, but both look nice from the pictures. Really excited to finally have that card for his run. It’s definitely one of my favorite cards of his. Have a great rest of your week!
I've never seen these floating head basketball cards. Love it. It made me laugh too, but it's kinda charming.
I agree! I think they are great! Can’t help but smile when I look at them.
Awesome as always Tony
Thanks Titus!
Very cool
Thanks Will!
Sweet pick-ups, Sensei! I like your take on prospecting! I don't know much about that player, but I hope he pans out. :)
@@TradeCards Thanks Milo! I appreciate it! It’s something that I have learned over time. It takes some patience, but I think it makes the most sense. Hope you are doing well!
Great comc showcase! I just got my order today. It was a week ahead of schedule.
@@the_card_closet Thanks Eric! Nice! Mine was as well. Seems like shipping at COMC is back to normal after waiting 3 months for my last order.
some cool cards , Tony . the Maddux's and Randy's are always classics
@@adamscardcloset9020 Thanks Adam! Yeah, I really need to get a few more of each of those cards. Have a great week!
Really nice looking pickups. The best part about your choices is that even if they're "modern" they're still on the more unusual side. A lot of sets I never saw before. Potential TTM fuel in here mayhaps? lol
Thanks Zach! I appreciate it! There were a few that I had never seen before as well that came out during the time I wasn’t collecting. That would be nice! If the players sign, I definitely wouldn’t mind getting any of these cards signed!
Great cards. We miss you on the ttm crew stream. Connor Bedard I'm sick of him lol. Great video
Thanks Jon! I haven’t had too much time to send out any TTMs lately. Hopefully soon.
Good stuff Sensei, thanks for sharing
Thanks Orlando! I appreciate you watching!
Great choice on the Bedard & Wyatt Definitely hard to find affordable ones for me. Not lookjng to spend alot here myself. Cant go wrong with Team Canada cards
Thanks Dave! It really is. Yeah, the Team Canada cards are just fine with me. I have no interest in throwing absurd amounts of money for cards of players that have really done nothing in their careers so far. Rather spend it on HOFers and future HOFers.
I was reviewing Fleer Adrenaline and 1995 Pinnacle hockey. The inserts I don't have for those sets are staggering. I'll throw away my money elsewhere on COMC. I had some Ogden stuff but had no idea who he was so I no keeped it.
So many inserts in those sets. Ogden was one of the best. His cards are very cheap.
Great cards Tony! Had to pull out my 2021 NPB cards, and sure enough aint got that one! Drat!!! All good though... Thanks for sharing!
@@troyscards68 Thanks Troy! I appreciate it! I will pick one up for you in my next COMC order!

Man you're spoiling us with all of these sets. Looking through what I have I have maybe 3-5 of each of these depending on the set. This is great.
@@zachscollections Thanks Zach! Sadly, this is the last traded/update set I have to show. I do have a mid 80’s baseball complete set to show but it might be a couple of weeks before I get a video out for it.
At the time i didn't like the orange borders, but seeing them now they're not so bad.
It is a pretty plain design.
A lot of those guys were forgotten in time. 😂 still a nice set to have.
Haha, sadly yes! At least there are a couple of notable cards in the set.
Very nice man!!

Been loving this. All the sets we were aware of back in the day but never saw the full set of.
Thanks Zach! Glad you are enjoying the sets! I have one more video I am releasing tonight.
Wow very nice looking set
Thanks Jon! Glad you enjoyed seeing it!
I never thought about that set ever. I have the 660 set + most inserts which I started to set build but was cheaper to buy the $5 already built set. The updates were NEVER EVER at any LCS I remember or were there a short time. The set design was so meh, I probably didn't want the update.
I agree. This set design is pretty plain. At least it isn’t as bad as ‘91 Fleer, lol. I had the full base set at one point as well, but I broke it up. Haven’t been too bothered to get the 30 or so cards I need to complete it again.
Hello from the rising sun Japan 🇯🇵
Hey Titus!
Great set, thanks for sharing
Thanks Orlando! Have a great week!

Thanks Jon!
I love this series! You doing every boxed update set from 1981 until they stopped sometime on the 90's? I have a ton of the junk wax era update sets from all companies but this idea is GOLD!
Not a series, but I did purchase 5 traded and update sets that I will be showing. 3 have been posted. The other two will be today and tomorrow. Glad you are enjoying them!
A lot of the same names as the topps. Good looking set that would have been great in 1976.
Pretty much, with the exception of Smoltz, and Biggio. Hahaha!
What a great set. Barberie's wife was on NFL Fox with Howie long and Bradshaw. Some solid red sox players in that set.
Thanks Eric! I’ve always been a fan of this set and the ‘88 design. Interesting! I didn’t realize that was Barberie’s wife.
Now this one was fun. First off, I've always been a big fan of the old Crest design lol. And I know for a fact I have never seen more than maybe a dozen of these. What a cool set pickup.
Thanks Zach! Glad you enjoyed seeing it! Same! The only card I had from this set before buying it was the Smoltz rookie. Probably had only seen a handful of others from the set. The set is pretty cheap for the quality of rookies in the set. 3 HOF rookies, and the only 1988 Smoltz main release.
Great Fleer set Tony! Looks like it's coming along! Nice blue Jay's and Expos! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Alex!
Very nice!!!

Hello Tony
@@godisgreat8462 Hello, my friend!
Ahh Topps Traded. You talk about nostalgia factor right there. And they look incredible!
Oh yeah! This set calls to my childhood like few others! Always enjoyed this set and the design. They are in pretty nice shape. Disappointed that they didn’t arrive with the original Traded box though. That would have been nice to have.
