The backing print is much larger
Well, you just popped up on my feed and now I’m a subscriber! ❤. Little Gumbo is a nice addition to your presentation.
They look so neat. I love the way they all came out. I will enjoy seeing how this quilt progresses. We here in Australia are hard put to find a variety of kits to buy. They all mostly come from America and are so expensive by the time they hit our shores, plus the money conversion is not in our favour. Keep us posted with this interesting FPP.
Great job! i too love FPP, the blocks are so perfect!!
Thanks, it’s such a fun way to quilt! I love the accuracy too!
a postcard works for me when folding the paper 😊
That’s a great idea! I’m always looking for better ways to do things.
You make it look so easy! For now, I'll watch you do it, but I'd like to try paper piecing in my future. Hope my favorite YT kitty is doing well :)
Paper piecing is a really fun technique to try! You’ll do great. Gumbo is doing well, thank you for asking ☺️ He’ll make an appearance again soon!
@@EaddysCraftRoom 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😄
I tried several different threads. And I found that a light grey thread hides your stitches pretty good. Try Superior Threads The Bottom Line… color #623….Also a milliner needle size 9 or 10 works great …Maybe it will work for you .. Enjoy your EPP journey….(It’s addicting)…🪡🧵🪡
I will have to try that out! I'm always looking for ways to improve my stitching! 😊
I'm new to your channel. Will you be showing more of this project? Can you please tell me the proper way to measure your hexagons?
Your quilts are divine, but your quilting assistant, Gumbo, is so handsome.🐈🐈🐈
Please please please I really need that pattern for Beach Day Quilt. I pulled out what I call “my fancy fabrics” that I purchased 3 1/2-4 yrs ago, forgot what I had in mind for them, until I saw your Beach Day Quilt and it’s either that or a Carpenters Star which is gorgeous but I don’t think I’m ready for and this looks just as beautiful and…easier I love your colours in it..too bad I cannot share my fabric choices
love that you got quilt stuff for new babies! I love making receiving blankets out of flannel w/ crocheted edges… Any baby blanket, hand made and home made is so precious and often becomes an heirloom …as I’m sure ALL of yours will be! Lucky babes and moms!
I use a hexagon paper punch and freezer paper. Also I punch a hole in the middle of hexi making removal easier. I do use a larger seam allowance and milliner needles. I use teeny whip stitches. Stitch size is very important tom me. I have seen sloppy big stitches and that is not for me.

Gumbo is so beautiful just like your quilt!
Thank you so much! Gumbo is my handsome boy 🥰

Thank you for sharing! How are you coming along with this project? Do you have an update video? Happy sewing!
Gumbo is beautiful!!
Thank you! ☺️
Yay! I’m excited to see you started working on Swoon! I hope you will share more about that! Like how a block goes together, if there’s sashing, you know, all the details! I am working on “Step This Way” which is a free jelly roll pattern. I’m using a jelly roll by 3 Sisters that has some browns and clay reds. I’m very nervous about getting a good color distribution because the overall tone of the fabric is very soft, muted, delicate florals. This is the kind of skill that is hard to learn! Any tips you have would be appreciated!

Loved seeing your quilts. I’m just finishing my Edelweiss quilt now and last week I picked up my Swoon quilt from my long-armer, also done in Lighthearted fabric! Then I hope to get caught up on my blocks for the FQS designer mystery block of the month (I’ve only finished block one, yikes!). Have fun with your quilting and do what speaks to your heart.

Hi, Eaddy! I’m new to EPP as well and enjoyed your video! I’m looking forward to seeing your progress on the insanity quilt! 🌸 I’m starting with the little dog with Kate from The Last Homely House channel. 🤞🏻🙏🐶❤
I love that dark blue quilt behind you! Is that one of your patterns?
I am endeavoring to complete 44 quilting projects in time to gift all my extended family members at Christmas. These will all be lap quilts with the exception of one family unit. They will be getting weekend bags featuring Micky and Minnie Mouse for their impromptu trips to Disney World .
Zieme Station
Love how the first quilt came out. It is really beautiful with that quilt clamshell pattern.
Beautiful quilt. I really want to make swoon. You have some big projects ahead.
Loved the update. The Haberdashery Sampler quilt is yummy all the way around! I purchased some vibrant Josie fabrics and some Christmas fabrics! Deciding on the patterns is next. (I decide, AND THEN I UN-decide :D ) They will be basic-learner, 3-yard quilts to get my feet wet in the quilting arena. Then I have a certain persons pattern that I cannot wait to make for Spring! Give adorable Gumbo some scratches from me :)
Oh I’m so excited that you started the Swoon quilt!! 😱😁 I love the fabric choices for your first block! 😍 I hope you do a video putting this one together ~ it would be so enjoyable to watch! Your Beach Day quilt is BEAUTIFUL!!
Yes. so pretty.
Nice update! I hope you’re able to rest/refresh soon. I love the way you lined up the striped fabric on the Swoon block! ❤
I decided to dig into the 2021 make a wish quilt from FQS that I bought for the fabric. I felt the pattern was too complicated back then. Glad I started as it is almost finished, just gotta put borders on! It also was a lot of foundation paper piecing, which got me excited for DragonFruit. ❤ thanks for sharing your journey! And tips on storing fabric by a window😮
I can't be mad at you for starting off another quilt..... I do the same thing!! I am making a drunkards path quilt at the moment plus some placemats for Christmas presents and have the neckline bias binding to put around the neck of my new summer beach cover-up. The zipper down the front one that you made. I am very happy with it. Summer is coming here and we are about to hit the pool for our exercises so I will be looking smart in my new cover-up, thank you Hannah-Catherine. Love your new quilts, both the newly quilted one and the new ones coming along. See you next time.
Thanks for sharing - so much to see. And especially thrilled you like Pix and Pixie, the two exclusive-to-Sewlovelee crab patterns! I know Lee didn't have them to show, but she's sold a moody crab kit (made with Moda Grunge, I believe) as well as a few other special requests. I do improv quilts, so when I look at something, I always see it through that lens. So for Pix and Pixie, you could throw in some 5" squares or rectangles instead of making the background all 2.5" squares. Finally, check in with Lee soon about a new Pix she's making using the Tensisters Easy Piecing Grid. I think she's using two Laundry Basket collections.
You were in my old stomping grounds :) Lived in the F'brg/Spotsy area for years raising my children. (Wegmans has the best white pizza ;) ) Looking forward to seeing you work on the tiny pattern. I think it would drive me nuts, but I'd love to see you work on it and enjoy from afar LOL Thanks for taking us along.
There is so much in that area! It was great getting to check it out. The tiny pattern may end up driving me nuts too! 🙃
how exciting! What a great time it looks like you had.
It was such a fun day!
I love that tiny foundation piecing quilt pattern you bought. I love craft and quilting shows, in fact in four days time I am going to our Brisbane Quilt and craft convention. It was huge once but seems to have lost a lot of vendors so I'm hoping this year there might be more to see and buy there. I am wanting to buy some fabrics for a certain project but we'll see. Looks like you had a lovely day.
I hope you have a fabulous time and find exactly what you’re looking for!
Beautiful! That pattern would also be pretty in reds and greens. You're right; the size is just right.
That would be such a fun combo to see!
It’s very pretty, worth all of your aggravation
Thank you! I do love it now that it’s done!
I like the way your corner block is, as is. It seems to "make the corner" by snowball ing it....
Great point! It’s fun when your mistakes turn out well!
Can i catch up and join you guys?
I’m not sure! I would reach out to Fat Quarter Shop to see if they have any available spots. I’m fairly certain they release all patterns for purchase to everyone when the BOM concludes, though!
That's a beautiful block. It would look good in any fabric. I'm 73 and have committed every imaginable mistake to be made in my years of sewing and I think I'm now starting to make up some new mistakes. 🤣 Good to know we are all in the same boat. I would love to do one of those block of the month from Fat Quarter but I live in Australia and to have it sent here plus with the money exchange it just isn't affordable and nobody here in Australia has started it up much for us. I have found one person who sells her block of the month. Might go with her. I love yours.
Such a pretty block. So glad you left in the snafus - I won't feel quite as bad every time I make mine! :D
