Painting The Thousand Sons Legion : The 5th Fellowship
Building and Painting the Thousand Sons Fifth Fellowship from the Siege of Cthonia Campaign. In this Tutorial, I paint a Legion Command Squad, Tactical Squad, Tactical Support Squad and Despoiler Squad using a combination of Horus Heresy plastics and Forge World Upgrade kits. While this is a Horus Heresy 'How to' many of the techniques and methods will apply to other warhammmer 40,000 loyal and chaos space marines.

any recommendation on what I can do to break up the gunmetal on tracks and other parts from Iron Warriors Armor? Seems like a lot of Gun Metal if I'm not careful
sponge weather, powder and airbrush a very light dirt layer on the tracks

When priming with wraithbone, did you have a tough time getting 100% coverage? I have some grey spots in cracks and crevices. Im worried qbout my priming layer being too heavy
i usually do a layer front and back with them standing upright - then after that dries, i lay the model down with the face up and spray the undersides , then repeat for the backside - if u have a tiny amount of grey on the undersides you’ll be Ok - but closer to full coverage the better

@heresyera I'm new to Heresy. So for me personally a standard Tactical Squad would be great. Get the basics. Then I could progress on to the more advanced models.

What colour oils did you use?
i use a dark, light, and light yellow brown. i recommend buying a few and seeing what works best on your surface
Excellent video as always. I don't collect or play TS but this is making me want to dabble in them at some point, maybe using the 40k rubric marines for vets and command squad....
i got some bits from those kits to use on a few more 5th fellowship models. small stuff like staffs and the spell casting hands - the tartaros terminators have some good bits too.

Soh will get a showcase. I have a huge army, about 6-7k + an allied detachment of them for my Army of Dark Compliance militia army. the militia will get a showcase sooner than the main army. when the bay reports drop there will be a Cthonia Garrison and Invasion Fleet showcase -

Horus heresy marines require more effort on the colour schemes than 40k marines I feel they do just by looking at the colour schemes they use, fantastic models magnus would be proud
