Hi Jason and Abby! I’m back! So sorry I took long but trying to talk to family about my nephew. He’s in the hospital with blood clots. He was born on my birthday 50 years ago. He’s on life support. He was on a heart echmo machine and he’s off that now and might take him off life support tomorrow. He’s finally getting better. We were so worried about him. It’s hard when you aren’t there to go see him. Lots of prayers. So glad he is doing better. He had two blood clots. That’s a lot to take. He collapsed on the ground and he broke his nose in the process. He’s bruised all over his face. But he’s getting better.

Another enjoyable episode to listen to! I came here from Apple Podcasts to say I, too, would love to see more accessible RV’s. One thing in particular I would love to see is RV’s with two primary bedrooms. My husband & I are in our early forties with no children and I have a big stack of chronic illnesses, some of which require me to sleep alone. Two primary bedrooms would also be nice for couples who travel together, such as older parents with an adult married child. I would also like to see an RV with less textures like carpets & wood grains on floors as these are almost impossible for me to handle due to some of my health conditions.

Several years back, I read a book called "The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane". That got me started drinking aged pu-erh tea. Either that or a good oolong tea is my usual go to any more. I buy the pu-erh tea in a pressed cake but because I'm lazy, I usually use draw string tea bags to brew it in. I can usually make 2 or 3 brewings from the grounds.

Thanks for the Black tank shout out. We are in Simi Valley and currently we are in the crosshairs for the major wind event tomorrow. We have had our homes power out for the past 3 days. Luckily our place of residence has an RV parking lot so we have moved into our rig. We moved all of our food to the RV freezer and fridge. We currently do not have any fires in our immediate area but we have been evacuated from here for past fires. I know a number of people that have lost everything. So feeling sorry for ourselves about the lack of electricity seems very trivial. Thank you for what you both do. ❤️🙏🙏

I manage vacation rentals. And you hit the nail on the head. The decision on what type of accommodation to stay at is all about the experience you want and convenience factor for each individual person (guest). This is a newer realm to hospitality and I love that there are so many options for guests now! Ironically, I got into the hospitality business because of our destination trailer!

Time does fly by! LOL. We have not considered renting, but does sound like it could help anyone to see how it works and if they like it before buying a RV. Also, the situation like renting instead of doing a hotel or a BnB in an area. Very interesting! Great video, Thanks for sharing and safe travels!

We're serial renters. Started with a Cruise America class C in 2021. Then bought a half-ton pickup in 2023 and rented trailers three times in 2023 and twice in 2024. All were good experiences. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Minor issues with some of the units and we got good at asking what was and wasn't included (so we could pack accordingly). I will say one big benefit was being able to rent the trailer near our final destination. We drove from the PNW to SLC in one day and rented in Salt Lake for our trip to Bryce and Zion. Not having to tow the entire distance was nice. In my experience, having a unit dropped off at a campsite didn't usually work as the parks we went to were a bit far from the cities/towns where the trailers are located. I am thinking our days of RV'ing as a couple are done (my wife is not a fan, but she humored me), so we saved on the purchase, depreciation, insurance and storage. If she had loved it, then we would have considered a purchase and been in a good position to know what we liked and disliked in trailer.

We rented from RVShare multiple times. In fact, after a handful of times, we went out and bought our own travel trailer. We had ZERO A issues with RV share. And, if you're comfortable with towing a trailer.... It's cheaper than a hotel... (We only stayed in the travel trailers that were only $100 a night to make it very affordable) ... Esp with dogs and 3 kids. Highly recommend!!!!

We are full timers and have just purchased a new rv to rent out. I really want clients to enjoy their experience, so I’d like to know what you consider “thoughtful” touches. I’ve added things like extra toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, travel size toiletries and feminine items, linens, towels, upgraded the mattress to a king BB mattress and beddys bedding, coffee maker and ice maker, blackstone, and welcoming decore. Loved this episode-it came at the perfect time for us!

Thank you for having Alex Walker from Blue Ox on. It was nice of him to talk about towing a vehicle. I didn’t know that some campgrounds they don’t allow you to drive your tie into the campground. That’s hard to do unhook then drive it in that’s crazy.

How nice you went to an event in elkhart, Indiana, and you saw some neat products. It’s pretty cool when you get to see the products for the RVs. I like when Jason was talking about the max air fan that sounds pretty nice new upgrade or update. I didn’t know that Winnebago owned Grand Design. That’s sad they have financial issues. Winnebago has been around for years. My mom’s boy friend owned one and a friend of hers sister.

They used to have a balloon fest near me but they stopped it when they built house in the area where it was. Lots of land but not anymore. It was fun seeing that. I even went to one in Michigan. We rented out our class C twice. While working full time, it’s very difficult to provide the high level of service and also the time needed to train in each renter in the pre departure. No longer renting ours out. There was also a high level of stress involved. Doing a drop off/casita only style rental could be a lot different as you could control more variables.

I love the content of your podcast and of your RV miles newscast you do a great job both of you and no matter what the content is I love it anyways no matter what you do it’s all good to me. I’m as you say a happy camper lol! I think that’s a great idea that you bring on the people who own dealerships RV dealers like like you did with Josh the nerd you know that was very good. Abby, it was nice seeing your friend Grant I believe his name was and nice that he married a friend of yours as well and you was being very funny or telling stories about you. Nice that there’s an app out there for the campers who don’t do right by the campground but no Abby I don’t think you’re gonna get in trouble anymore about the packages coming in. I remember that story I cried with you when that happened because of the fact that they kicked you out That was horrible. But I think you got invited back there by different owners when I can remember I’m home. I write about that and that’s cool that you guys were able to see the northern lights cause we can’t see them out here in Vegas. My brother was able to see him in Michigan when they had the northern lights there. I think they’re so beautiful the northern lights I wish I could see him. Abby, I agree with you and I don’t go to Starbucks. I never really like the coffee, but I always got the cold drinks. I can’t remember the name of the drink I used to get. I haven’t been there in a long time. Never had Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, but I heard it was pretty good. I heard Dutch Brothers was pretty good too, but I don’t know. I have read that. Sounds like it taste nasty all the sugar and all the other stuff that they put in. Sounds like you guys had a great time at the homecoming. Wish I was there. But one day, we will allow me hopefully. I love you guys. I hope you guys have a great week. Have fun with the boys. I’m sure they’re back in school after the holidays, but tell Jack that he did a great job and your dad to tell him that he did a great job of performing your opening theme song so have a good week. I’ll see you soon. 🤗😘😊 Sorry this is so long of a comment. See you soon!

You shouldn’t even bring politics into camping

We didn’t. We brought it into a discussion about National Parks which are a federally run program.

Politics affect economy, economy impacts RVing in lots of ways. It's all connected. Politics also impacts budget expenditures, laws and ragulations, federal lands, minning contracts and more.

Abby sorry I jumped a head about asking about the drink because I heard Jason what it was. I wasn’t sure if it have been said. Please forgive me. I wanted to mess with you! That’s I said where’s mine? lol! The questions asked were great questions. I would ask those too! I always welcomed when I come and watch you both on UA-cam in the podcast. I can’t believe it’s been like 7 years so. Time flew by. I remember watching you before the pandemic. I shears wanted to ask about if you were going to get back into theater. Nice your son is getting into it.

Sorry to hear you're so ill...but antibiotics are terrible for your gut biome, which is tied to your immune system. Perhaps you can look into using a nebulizer with a dilution of Hydrogen Peroxide. That has helped me fight off the Flu, C*vid as well as any number of lung ailments this last year. Sounds odd if you've not heard of it but it works...full stop.

Thanks for the suggestions. It was really the last option after trying variations on your theme. I am working with my wellness chiropractor to care for my gut biome during this time and am so grateful for the concern and suggestions I’ve received. Thank you again! -A

Hey guys 👋 😃, Thank you for your updated reports. Your info. has been valuable to my decision. I'm almost certain I will be having my RV rig built instead of bought. Thor & others are forcing me into this decision. This will create a longer process of build than I would like. The main Bennie to this will be that I get to have accountability. Wow, imagine that. These guys will proudly stand by their build. Thanks again ✌️ 😁. Now that's the America 🇺🇸 that I was born to.

Hi Lin, All the best as you follow your path and have an RV built for you. Having built out a bus, we know just how complex and rewarding that work can be, and I'm glad you've found designers you feel good working with. Can't wait to see what you end up with ! Happy New Year! -A

In my opinion you guys, while not your intent, are part of the problem with the current state of the camping industry. Before the over popularization of this niche world a clean, safe and reasonably priced place to setup was all that we asked for… now we need wifi, running water, 50amp service and hot water in the bath house plus washer and dryers. Boondocking was the norm now it’s a necessity.
