We've been campers most our lives, graduating from backpacking & tent to a travel trailer 10 years ago. I used to travel a few times/year for work, sometimes hubs would come with me. We retired 5 years ago & absolutely LOVE the trailer...so much better than airports, hotels, rental cars, and restaurant food for every single meal. Plus, we know who used our bathroom, slept in our bed, and cleanliness of both. We've been big tea drinkers for years. Earl Grey for me, English Breakfast for hubs). Organic loose leaf from Frontier Co-op, steeped with boiling water from the tea kettle 5 minutes (more time risks bitterness). Hot in winter, iced in summer. Once you go to a quality loose leaf, you won’t want run-of-the-mill tea bags. Hope you're all recovered & feeling great again 😊
Not one of the largest... THE largest. The Oshkosh airport becomes the busiest airport in the world during the fly-in. I finally had the opportunity to camp there this year for 4 days (and, of course, attend the show). Highly recommended! It's a little crowded but there's so much to see, and just walking in from the campground is convenient.
@rvmilespodcast we live in colorado mountains and definitely honk to alert oncoming traffic in single lane tunnels, narrow roads and blind turns where oncoming traffic just isn't possible or the risk of head-on collisions are high. Also to alert drivers of wildlife on and near the road.
Several years back, I read a book called "The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane". That got me started drinking aged pu-erh tea. Either that or a good oolong tea is my usual go to any more. I buy the pu-erh tea in a pressed cake but because I'm lazy, I usually use draw string tea bags to brew it in. I can usually make 2 or 3 brewings from the grounds.
Christmas Vacation is a must watch every year. I love this movie & still laugh out loud even though I’ve probably watched it 30 times! (Showing my age) Merry Christmas to you all 🎄
Yes it is. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve watched this movie, I still laugh. It’s also a highly quoted movie between my brothers and I this time of year. Looking forward to heading to the AMC theater to watch it with everyone again this year. -A
I live 4 miles from the beach in SoCal and i never go there. I really felt that praise about NM. I LOVE Taos and would move there in a minute. 😊❤ The fact that everyone says “New Mexico? Why?” Is part of the fun. The reason it is not so crowded.
My top tea is Trader Joe's Spiced Chai! Its great with a little honey when sick and a good coffee replacement for the caffeine. For "sweet tea" I just order cracker barrel or CFA unsweet tea and add a pack of sugar, so its sweet but not ridiculous!
Stellates has not reinvested in new and updated vehicles. They also were hurt by a combination of pricing and interest rates. When I was a kid my dad would honk in the tunnel in downtown Monterey, he did it because us kids loved it.
Welcome to the tea land I am a full tea snob! My favorite small shop is Ohio Tea Company. I enjoy oolong tea, I have a kettle that has different temps for types of tea. Only use loose leaf never bags. Dont get me wrong, I do have my one cup of amazing Nespresso but then move to tea
We received news that Big Bend National Park is closing for renovations May 1,2025. They have moved some people with reservations in April to a lodge outside the park.
Our biggest plus of rv ownership & traveling with it is allowing us to stretch our vacation dollars further therefore taking more trips all together. More trips with the same dollars otherwise we would spend the same money for far fewer trips.
Hey Abby, I'm not a fan of iced tea but my absolute favorite hot tea is Twinnings Orange and Cinnamon Spice tea. It's actually a red tea which is naturally decaffeinated. I just add some honey. You can get it off the zon and it's in bags. I drink this all year round since I live in Southern California and we don't get extreme weather. Hope you feel better soon. ~Kim
My kids love it when we go through a tunnel and we honk! However It is dependent upon how many cars are in the tunnel with us as we go through and how close they are ect. This is just regular car horn, not attain horn ect. And it is usually to the tune of “LETS GO” theme
Husbands, when your lady loves coffee, please learn how to make it! When you give her that simple pleasure she will love you more for it. It's just like how you feel when she makes your favorite so dinner. ❤
That’s so funny you say that. I was just thinking this morning “I must be sick. I’m not interested in my morning coffee.” Lol. Tea is certainly a more comfy cozy choice when under the weather.
I just can't figure out why RV Share thinks Millers Creek, NC is going to be a top 10 destination. The MerleFest music festival is in nearby (and larger) Wilkesboro, but that's several miles away. 🤔
If honking is bad they will completely crap themselves if someone runs through there in a long nose Peterbilt with 10 inch open stacks and the Jake brakes set on high
TIME - this is the big issue with us camping more - free time to get out and about - seems COVID over - everyone is back to the break neck pace and constantly on nature of work - especially with the price of everything and it's only going to get worse over the next coming 4 years
Stellantis lost its way long before it was born. Yes, that's right, it was doomed before its start as problems with the individual brands didn't go away when the conglomerate was formed. The corporation has some reckoning to do in 2025.
Be aware of water temp when you make tea. (And coffee). Huge difference in bitterness. We love PG Tips. And Harney and Sons. I love London Fog lattes (earl or lady gray with steamed milk and foam). Celestial Seasonings is near us (take a tour! The mint room will clear your sinuses) and we like a lot of their herbal teas.

Oshkosh WI is the EAA fly in.
Oshkosh has the annual EAA ( Experimental Aircraft Association) fly in. One of the largest in the world.
Was just looking that up last night and learning more. Very cool!!! -A

It's the best kept (but not really a secret) secret out there! :-)

That sounds delicious. Thank you for the rec. I’m def picking some of that up as I love orange and cinnamon together.

My denial of being sick ends when/if my coffee doesn’t taste right. Tea is more enjoyable when sick, for sure!
Stay healthy this season!

The Tea Cellar in Cedar Falls, IA has a CInnamon Spice that is our families favorite!
that sounds delicious!

Fascinating! Thanks for clearing that up!
@Chrisv - You beat me to it! ✈️

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. I’ll do some research on the water temp for tea! -A
Tea is an acquired taste; I'm working on getting it.👍🏾💙🤍❤️
