I actually don’t release all fish - maybe you have even seen my catch and cook videos? Most of the time I actually cook them directly after the fishing adventure, while I am still out in the field. But as one sees in my videos, I do release most of the trout I catch.

Hi, I have not been having problems with overheating. I have been filming my newest adventures at 50 frames per second in 4K without the camera switching off once. I hope this may help with your decision 🤗.

Dear Scott, thanks for reaching out, I also wouldn’t use the term “pro” - I have to say I enjoy the term fishing enthusiast a lot more. If you have been following my channel you might have noticed the surrounding and vegetation I am in. I do not find myself fishing near structures or sharp rock so I do not need the abrasion resistance nylon offers. Furthermore, I am not targeting species like kingfish where I have to be worried about pulling the hook out due to their soft tissue in their mouth region, so the flex is also not needed. The species I am mainly targeting are trout. That means if I am not fly fishing, I tend to use my spin fishing set up with braid (more line - same breaking tension). I enjoy the direct contact and minimal flex braid gives me and I have never had a problem with its visibility. Keep on fishing!

@christiancasts that's fine and dandy. I was just commenting to what you said. That you didn't understand why people are still using nylon and not braid and that you thought only older fishermen was the only ones still using nylon. Have a great day and good luck

In all secrecy I have to tell you, I myself started fishing with nylon 😉. I have also noticed that there has been a trend moving towards braided fishing lines over the years. In my application, I will be sticking with braid because I find it to be the better choice.

Hi, the road has a total length of 2.1 m or 6.9 ft 😊. I tend to like shorter rods because when the river is very overgrown, I find it easier to cast.

Yes, you are really right, the hooks are held very well. Have you had experience with wear on the vice clamps?

Hi 😊 Sadly is not possible to add a fly patch, but I usually have got a fly box in one of the chest pockets because they are really big. But I have to say I have been wearing the jacket so much since I have got it and I am really so happy.

Ok that’s what I figured. I ordered one but have not received it yet. I will likely add a few neodymium magnets to the jacket to hold flies and hooks while I’m changing up rigs.

That sounds like an amazing idea - I think I'll have to pinch it 😉.

Thanks for the tips. Did you get a clamp with the vice? Or are you using a normal one from the hardware store? As you most probably know out of the video I am just getting into fly tying. Would you have any flies which you would recommend to practice tying as a beginner? I am actually thinking about making a wooden transport box for my whole set up which holds all my fly tying equipment.

@@christiancasts hi, I got the clamp with the vice but I guess you could use a clamp from a hardware store, just put a little felt cushion between the contact area of vise and clamp. I think nymph patterns are a good start as they make you consider proportions. Woolly buggers for hackle palmering. Yes, a transport box is a great idea. I don't have anything as grand but use a simple material case I got with another vise and a big dollar store plastic box for materials when I travel. For permanent storage I use plastic stack drawers, big zip lock bags, small zip locks and even smaller ones ...like categories and sub categories. lastly a big coin tin to chuck change in so my next material purchase isn't so painful :)

If you want to be sure of the correctness of your purchase, the easiest way would be to ask in a local fishing shop or the local tourism office. I hope I could help and wish you a great fishing trip.
