My channel name is a place that doesn't exist.... yet. So, for now I work on projects in my garage and backyard. I like buying or trading for equipment that catches my eye. I'm trying to assemble the perfect collection of tools and equipment, which I practice using and maintaining, so they can help me build my homestead someday when I get some land/property. I mostly enjoy tractors & equipment, log splitters, welding, carpentry projects, and anything else outside. There isn't anything DIY related that I wouldn't be willing to try and make videos about. I dabble in many trades but I'm a master of none. I'm also not much of a teacher so follow in my footsteps at your own risk. I hope you enjoy the channel!
Fixing broken throttle cable on Kioti CX2510 tractor- Taking apart dash
In this video I dig into the dash on my Kioti CX2510 to install a new throttle cable from daedong. I tried to think of any way to do this without completely taking the dash apart but unless you have tiny little hands, it's going to be difficult. This is sort of a How-to except I'm a terrible mechanic and terrible videographer lol.
Kioti CX2510 throttle cable part # TB16-0251A from Daedong. I purchased mine on eBay.

This is something I should have done immediately after purchasing my Kioti CX2510. I sold some things and decided it was time to put the cash towards a Piranha tooth bar. I chose BXpanded because I love their tooth design. I looked at a couple other companies designs and knew this was the best one. Kioti CX2510 land cleanup project: Starting to move dirt & rubble
Переглядів 676Місяць тому
This is the 2nd video in a series of videos while on a job. I was tasked with moving some "free" loads of "fill" which turns out to be a mix of dirt, mulch, gravel, pavers, concrete chunks/slabs, rock, and wood. It is actually quite a bit much on this tractor, would be much faster and more efficient with a skid steer. Thanks for watching!

This is the first video in a small series of videos cleaning up some rubble and fill left on a pad for a future machine shed. Good fill is going to be brought in, in the future, covering all the concrete and junk mixed in with the "free fill". In this video I move the Kioti to the site, knock down some nasty weeds, fluff up a fire pit, and play around with my DJI drone. Thanks for watching!

Remember people, these are loaders, not bulldozers
That's not splitting firewood. That's making tooth picks. You could split those rounds with a pocket knife. Show is some real wood like a foot in diameter or more.
@PainterD54 this splitter Is long gone, it wouldn't split anything but small and dry pieces. Anyone looking to split big rounds shouldn't be looking at electric splitters

Thanks for the great video! Learned a lot. Will it hurt to park it outside always? Not sure if the sunlight will damage those pipes or not
@3dclock594 No, having it sit outside won't hurt anything, I'm overly cautious about storing things inside to try and keep them in good condition. The elements in the Midwest can destroy a machine. Thanks for watching!

Very good saws very underrated but definitely worth keeping
This was great! I just aquired a 1985 Yanmar YM187D that I'm going through. Our tractors are basically the same, yet plenty of differences. Your Deere is in way better shape. I too have a scraper, but I'd have to take off my backhoe in order to use it!
@r.evanmiller1030 that's awesome! They are very well built and last a long time. Over the years I have grown to really like Yanmar. Unfortunately I traded this deere towards a mini excavator but I most certainly miss it. Do you have videos of that backhoe?
@@skywatcherranchswr Not any videos as of yet, but several photos. This poor thing was left out for about 24 years and only use a few times. I had several front loader lines blow, ( separately! yikes! ) that I replaced. Now all the front loader rubber lines are new. The backhoe is in better shape, yet some lines leak a bit. As i mentioned I'm slowly going through it changing fluids and filters. Totally new to tractors so it's taking time!
@r.evanmiller1030 ua-cam.com/video/FgzWVD5xMAQ/v-deo.htmlsi=_Oi-CH5JXKCxPMh1 here is a link you might like. This guy has excellent videos. Funny thing is I often see those yanmar and kubota tractors for sale that have sitting forever and they still work! Often times the hoses are always rotted and dry which is a pain but those are basically consumables anyway. They don't make tractors like those anymore!
@@skywatcherranchswr That's what I hear about the Yanmars still running after many years of neglect. Mine seems pretty strong so far and I love the ease of access to work on it. And of course, those "consumable lines!!!! Yeah, I knew there would be work to do. Cool, I'll check out the video link. (At a glance that little tractor is super cool. I'm going to watch the vid now.... )

I have two a mini skid and a mini excavator both great for what I need if they are no good why did you buy it you fool
I paid a bit more for the same machine from Groundhog. Mine is yellow and black and they installed a quality hydraulic thumb that fits the machine with no washers or spacers, and they also install a hydraulic oil cooler and give a full 1-year warranty on the machine. You did a good quality job on the thumb you installed.
@Mikeykaysuper I was actually originally going to get a groundhog or kymron but I settled on this one because I traded a John deere tractor for it. Are you pretty happy with it? Those updates and warranty is awesome.
@@skywatcherranchswr So far so good. I had some broken bolts on the console mount during the delivery from Texas to California and one track control knob vibrated off going down the road and a few more loose bolts I had to tighten.

Very helpful infos. Planning to get a Kioti 👍
@starmatt3222 best money you'll ever spend!
instead of the tabs for the bucket lip to wedge in couldnt they have made this to be a bolt on since the bucket has pre-drilled holes?
@dorito31561 they could have but it would have just been more bolts to mess with. This can be put on or taken off really quick with just the two bolts. Those tabs work great holding the toothbar.
They make one that uses the existing holes. It’s the piranha pro version. Has serrated edge on one side and flat cutting edge on the other that’s reversible. Also like another $150-$200 over the cost of this style.
I really like this tooth bar, it made a world of difference on large stone/rock. I will admit though I do keep it off because back dragging/smoothing isn't fun with it on. It's not like a skid loader that has a flat portion on the back bottom of the bucket specifically for that. You just end up jamming dirt into the quick attach. Anyway money well spent and I think necessary for any owner! I am curious what the factory bolt on looks like though...
Nice, that tractor is a workaholic 😅😅

Next thing to do is replace that plastic battery kill switch. That broke on me the first use. They are kinda fun to work on and if you think they arent worth the money well, My water main broke and I dug 50 feet at 4 foot depth in a couple hours. Im 56. I would have never been able to dig that by hand in one day. At 300 bucks an hour for a backhoe and operator I saved a ton.
Im going through the process right now to import. Everyone is so negetive when you mention these machines. Like its going to fall apart in 2 minutes Mostly people who cant fix anything if their life depended on it
Yeah. I know my way around general machinery, worked in multiple service and maintainance teams in my life, but I asked someone to help me go over my machine when it arrives, to make sure everything is ok, and it also gives me a great opportunity to learn this machine from someone who knows his shit. This will make sure my machine is in top condition when I start working with it, and also will allow me to make a proper diagnosis if something happens, or even intervene and repair it, besides the usual maintainance tasks.
Put a bent rod on that middle lever that is awkward to use, any dude with a lathe can turn you one, i would bend it myself though
There are special punches for installing roll pins called roll pin punches. They are meant to spread the impact evenly around the end of the pin when you're driving them in so they don't peen over and become impossible to install as you well know. Roll pins are designed to be a really tight fit so they don't work themselves free. They are basically a round spring that is constantly trying to spread itself against the wall of the hole that it's in. Roll pin punches aren't a real common item so you're probably going to have to find them online or through a snap-on tool dealer. 👍
Overseas shipping, they don't tighten things too tight, not for lack of care, but for the opposite, you can break things in shipping if there's no give. The dealer should be telling people to check everything, and tighten whats loose.
Nice work man just subbed not too long ago. Looking forward to seeing that future ranch 👌🏻
@@TheHelmanHomestead thank you!
How do you set the pilot control pressure so it will operate a little smoother mine is very very jerky even with lot rpms
@jeremyyates8417 I have no idea. Mine is Jerky too. I barely move the controls to try and be steady. Also lowering the rpms helps too.
Are you sure your loader wasn't loose when you first purchased your CX2510? The play in the front end looks pretty normal to me.
@AndrewX192 honestly maybe it's always been like that. But I could of sworn it used to be tighter, it never use to rattle either, now it does.
By watching youtube...it is pretty apparent that a lot of people buy frontloader tractors for the main purpose of just moving piles of stuff around on their property...they don't often haul the stuff off or burn it or otherwise remove it...they just move the pile to another location. Then, when weeds grow up in it in that location...they move it again! Go figure...
Just subbed. Been tractor shopping for maintaining my yards. I own two houses in the same neighborhood both with 4 acres and partially wooded. I'm always looking for good tools to help with maintaining the yards to keep them nice. Tired of taking days with a pickaxe and shovel to do things I can do in half an hour with a proper tractor. Was looking at a Deere 1025R or 2025R, but started looking at these too for the lower price. Your review was great!
@AV8R_1 I'm not up to snuff on current prices for tractors these days but just make sure you get one big enough for your needs. This tractor is the most useful tool I've ever bought. I probably should have shopped around more before buying but once I saw this kioti in person I couldn't help myself. Thank you!
Useful information for a fellow new-tractor owner. Thanks!
What model tractor did you pick up??
The mistake was buying it
At the price you can pick these up for they pay for themselves in a few chords, wood around here is going for $400 to $600 a chord so if it breaks ill fix it or buy another one lol.
I have the exact model and its super fast, split two chords in 40 minutes, bought it from some gherkin in town who never even used it for $400. I love the thing.
How much weight did you put in tha Ballest Box?
@Candoguy I keep forgetting the numbers ( I should have wrote it down) but I think I'm at 8 bags of sand at 60lbs each. I also have some steel pieces in the bottom for at least another 50lbs. Also the box the ballast box got delivered in said it weighed over 100lbs, and it is heavy, but I don't believe it's 100lbs at all. So total maybe about 600lbs give or take total.
@@skywatcherranchswr ok thanks
It's a tractor is meant to be used. You can't keep it clean and nice and tight like a car
That cx2510 is 5 times the tractor as the cs series tractors ( soft belly models) you made a good choice.
