In a way, the rain would've been handy sooner... made the sandbag heavier for you. Also, even if you weren't moving comp weights, it was good effort put in on an event you're not enjoying so much. Glad you had a good evening also.

Inside these long tunnels you can feel the heat of the earth rising up from the core to the surface. You may know the modern house heating on the principle of "heat pumps" ("Wärmepumpen" in German), where you bore a few 100m below the surface to use this heat. But for example in the middle of the Gotthard car tunnel, you are about 1000m below the surface feeling this stronger heat. 🙂
