Hello Petrolheads!
My name is Robert and on this channel we love cars - mostly shitboxes, racetrack driving, POV drives, top cars lists and constant shitbox repairs. There's also a series about (in)famous Alfa Romeo 156 that survived a lap with Misha Charoudin on the Nurburgring - Living with an Alfa Romeo 156.
Come and join me (and other petrolheads) on the winding and bumpy road of cars loving.

Driving through Hungary - Alfa Romeo 156 1.9jtd
Hi Petrolheads! I hope you are well. In today's POV video I take you to Hungary. I have recorded this POV video while returning from my trip to Transalpina and Transfagarasan passes in Romania. I enjoyed driving through Hungary, there's so many open spaces that extend way beyond the horizon, unfortunately some of the roads were in bad condition which took away some of the enjoynment from the drive. Cheers and see you on the next one!

Hi Petrolheads! I hope you are well and that your cars are working great. In today's POV video I take my Alfa 156 for a spin to test the new winter tires at the front; however, I still have old winter tires at the back which results in the rear end of the car stepping out on the slippery corners - which was a lot of fun. Cheers and see you on the next one!

Hi Petrolheads! I hope you are doing well. Today I have the very last lap that I have recorded with the Nurblife rental VW Golf VIII, it was an early morning lap at 8am, so I did a slow and careful warm up lap as there were many place with wet patches. I hope you will enjoy even though it wasn't a fast lap. Cheers!

Hi Petrolheads! As promised today's video is going to be about one of the most famous roads in the world - the Transfagarasan. It was great fun with some breathtaking views, one small point of complaint would be the state of the road, there are so many bumps, potholes and uneven patches which makes it less enjoyable, still it was a blast. Cheers!

Hi Petrolheads! I hope you are doing great. Today's video is full of twisty turns and breathtaking views - otherwise known as Transaplina. It was an absolute blast to drive on this road even in my shitbax Alfa Romeo, I can't imagine what it would feel like in a more sporty car. I hope you will enjoy this long video. Cheers!

Hi Petrolheads! I hope you are doing great. Another video another dollar lost on reparing my shitbox Alfa Romeo. In today's video I do a little bit of suspension work and some winter preparation work so that I don't have to do it when it gets even colder, of course my dog was helping me throughout the job. Cheers and see you on the next one Petrolheads!.

blah-blah-blah
Roads are awful in Hungary .
Some of the roads were in a really bad condition
great drive 💢
Thank you, yes it was quite nice, sometimes the road was not really good, but still enjoyable.
@robertadamski alfa can stand almost every type of road, but quadrifoglio for sure do (:
The interior looks super clean, nice car
Thank you, I try to take care of this car as best as I can. Cheers!
chip tuning or stock ?
Hi, its all stock only 115hp
Joy
got caught out like that once, luckily managed to save it. gotta love the 156's handling but it can scare the hell out of you on a cold/wet day when you aren't used to it yet
Hi, yep you need to watch out as the rear wheels sometimes like to do the dancing, sometimes 156 can lift the rear wheel into the air and then it gets interesting. Cheers!
Your thermostat is dead
Hi, no its not the thermostat works all okay - it was checked with the Multiecuscan - opens and operates at correct 88C temperature, it is the fault of the coolant temperature sensor which is showing bad readings. Cheers!

Hi, its hard to say for me as I'm using DJI Osmo Action 4 and I don't have comparison with other cameras, but still Action 4 is really good in my opinion, thanks for the comment!

1.9jtd 8v 115hp
@robertadamski Ja miałem dwie 156 2.4 JTD 140 i 150hp. Bardzo ładne auto i super silnik. Może później kupię sam silnik żebyś pokazać dzieciom, jakie były kiedyś silniki. Teraz mam 156 2.5 Busso i mam sam silnik 3.0 Busso. Super silnik
Dalej sprowadził to auto do Polski też miłośnik Alfa Romeo.
nice
Thanks it was a lot of fun. Cheers!
@@robertadamski Ye, it's very good actually the feeling of this italian machine, one of the best cars in the world with the road control, the safe road action, the dynamic, the acceleration, the power, the engine strength and also the consumption after ever including in this car it's very worth, but unfortunately in our country these type of cars are very under rated and i wonder why...also these machines are worthy cheap for owning and they don't have lotta problems and also they look great and very rare stock made cars in exterior and interior design and look, so i think that's even the best car from this class that i ever drove! I agree, it's very fun to drive, this several type of cars can change your day, when you feel bad and bored! (:
Well you said it and I absolutely agree, these cars are amazing, very grateful and they can take a beating while driving if you just take care of them(oil, service and parts). I did 170000km with mine and there were no issues, I had to do the clutch since it was gone when I bought the car, apart from that just pure fun and enjoyment!
@@robertadamski Exactly! I also when i bought mine, i got it from almost 6 months and for first i changed only the oil as a recommend move, and that's it. Also these last days the accumulator stopped working because it was older maybe and there is cold weather but that's not a big problem, it's a several when it comes to a car. Very good cars for real lovers!!! (:
Yep true, just change all of the fluids, oils and filters and you are good to go, and when you buy a car battery is usually dead or almost dead so its normal.
@robertadamski najgorsza ruda w tych autach
Who filmed me ?
Nicolas Winding Refn as it is just like "Drive"
How do you see the fuel consumption on display?? I have the same car and I don’t know how to do it
On the left side behind your steering wheel you have the lever which is used for turning on/off the lights and at the top of it there is a "Set" button which controls the display. Cheers!
@@robertadamski Thank you so much!!. You have no idea how much time i spent, searching for this .
No worries mate, happy to help.
Who's the 'giggling girl' in the front right hand seat? That started out as a very tame ride. But then picked up the pace to the point of squealing tyres. I'm impressed with the 147. I think it handled better than the 156 and with the FULL car load of people 'ta boot!'. Great vid.
Thank you I'm happy that you liked it. The 'giggling girl' is my brother it was one of his first laps so he was really enjoying it. I think 147 might handle a little bit better because its a slightly shorter car without the sticking out boot, still you can have lots of fun in both of them. Cheers!
@@robertadamski I have both. I have a 2.5L 156. A 2.0L Selespeed with new actuator and a restored 147 2.0L Selespeed with a new actuator, clutch, C&B cams and sports exhaust and KYB G-Excel suspension. The V6 is just too heavy and thirsty. The 2.0L156 is track prep'd with Quaife LSD, Supersprint exhaust, C&B cams, Ebach bars and Koni Active suspension (to name a few mods). ...and it is by far my favourite car. The 147 is my daily driver (about once a week!) and the one I experiment on. Italian cars are my favourite. All I could afford was an Alfa (they are VERY expensive over here in Oz). these cars are now rare on the road as they are 20+ years old. A good one still turns heads and if it goes? Well then people give you there care space! LOL
Wow great to hear that, seems like you have some proper Alfa machines, your cars are much more modified than mine 156 so it also makes them feel completely different and quicker. Italian cars are great, so much fun and they are addictive. I bought my 156 as a first person in my family, then my brother bought GT and now my dad bought 159, so currently its an Alfa Romeo family haha
@@robertadamski The GT is really the best of the 156 era. Beautiful car, plenty of room and a rare body shape. Can't even afford a S/H one of those because they keep going up in price! While people are giving away 156's and 147's. The 159 in 2.2L form has an Opel motor in it, with an Alfa head. They also came out in the V6. 3.2L 6spd and they also don't ever come down in price. So your family is living the dream!
In Poland 156s and 147s mostly cost nothing, but almost all of them are rusty and badly treated, for some reasons GTs are more expensive in Poland but its very difficult to find a good one, so yes I'm happy that we managed to find quite good ones.
Masz jakis assistance jakby alfunia focha strzeliła ???
i have the same car and i dont have that cover i need to remove the boot cover :/
Oh that's surprising I thought all of them have these covers, is yours pre facelift or post facelift?
It actually sounds quite nice for a 4pot diesel 👌
Yeah I like the sound of it, of course its nothing special, but as for a diesel engine it sounds okay
dawaj polerke lamp next film hehe
Pozdrawiam!
Thank you so much for sharing the video. Both your Alfa and the scenery are amazing. I have an Alfa 156 Sportwagon jtd16v. All the best, Bojan
Thank you very much, I'm very happy that you've enjoyed the video. 156 Sportwagon is a great car. Cheers!
Nice lap! Even the diesel Alfa's convey some emotions! I also have to drive my Giulia around the Nordschleife. Looks like a lot of fun.
Thank you! Giulia and Nurburgring sounds like a ton of fun so you definitely have to do a lap, just letting know you its very addictive and its hard to stop. Cheers!

You should write the engine type in the title. Is it a 1.6, 2.0 TS or a Busso? Or a Diesel?
It is a diesel 1.9 jtd 115hp
What is a alfa 159 2.0 lusso? Also great vid 👌
Thank you very much. It is an Alfa 156 1.9jtd.
@robertadamski thank you sir
Thanks for the video! Currently considering upgrading from my 1.4HDi 206+ to a 159 2.0JTDm. I drive aprox 300-500km per week (100km per day), and after a year or 35.000km Im starting to seek a bit more comfort hehe. Do you have any tips when looking for 2.0JTDm? Figured this is the latest version of the 159, so most of the issues with them have been ironed out and it goes the furthest on km/l.
Hey, glad you liked it. So when it comes to comfort they are really good, quiet and smooth, also the fuel economy is good, especially if you get the 170hp engine. Even though it is the last version of 159 it has its problems. There are gearbox issues on high mileage Alfa's (they whine when you let go of the gas), also the intake manifolds are made out of plastic, they like to crack and cause issues, also in these intake manifolds there are flaps that can fall into the engine and make a great explosion, so you have to delete the flaps. Bodywise if they are not cleaned properly they can rust on seals/subframe and wheels arches. If you find one without these issues you will be driving it for a loooong time. If you have some time check out ItaliaAutos channel - he has a great video on what to look out for when buying these cars - also he knows a lot about them
@@robertadamski I have already checked out his videos hehe, thanks. Even the last one had gearbox issues? Only thought it was the early 1.9JTDms that had the troublesome M32 gearbox or whatever it is called.
From what I know the 1.9 and 2.0 diesels have problems with gearboxes unfortunately. Still I would recommend this car very strongly, the way it drives, handles and looks its just great.
@@robertadamski Exactly, I love the design a lot. I have tried a quick trip in one, and its very nice! But I cant really decide to go for 2.0 or 2.4 i5 though.
My friend had 159 2.4 - it sounded great, pulled quite well but since its heavy it accelerates very similarly to 2.0 170hp. Some people say the 2.4 have issues with heads and blocks cracking, but my friend did over 150k kilometeres in this car and no issues with that (even though he pushes it really hard). I think both are good choice.
Que diantres
What kind of modifications produce 170 hp and which engine
It is a 1.9 jtd 16 valve 150hp engine as stock, so basically it has a map on it, and a little bit different exhaust so it allows the exhaust gasses to get out easier, so nothing major. Cheers!
@@robertadamski I have the same car with second stage modifications plus but with petrol engine 1.6 ts plus coilover brake 330mm and lightweight wheels and many more
Wow that sounds great, seems like an extremely fun car to drive - I've checked some of your videos - your 1.6 sounds really good
