The scoring was absurd and stupid. Shushonova fell on her butt on floor and I expected at least 2 judges to throw out a 10 at that point. The 10’s awarded to some of these routines was absolute insanity

Truth is-Kim Kelly not have the body of an ideal gymnast for that time. She was 18 and her body was filling out. Regardless of execution, unless your last name was Boginskaya you had better be a dainty girl. It’s not fair but it was the reality for the time.

I don’t get the hype behind this routine. The choreography is quite mediocre. The only amazing thing is some of the tumbling. Her choreography between her first and second pass is nearly non existent.

im confused with the adjective that the older commentator used, he described potorac as a handsome gymnast with beautiful blue eyes..and yet potorac is a female...why use handsome? can someone please clarify?
