I have a Honda BF5 now converted to 6HP with a low pitch prop. It pushes me 14mph one up on a 11ft wide inflatable. 2 up I get around 7-8mph fully loaded. I want to upgrade to the Tohatsu 9.8 EFI but I don't want to be disappointed for $2500. Weight is key so 9.8 Tohatsu is the heaviest I want to go. Can't get 2 strokes here because they are not allowed everywhere. Someone should create a service where you can rent outboards for the weekend.

I know the point of the video isnt really about clip bobbers that much, but what size clip bobber are you using or what size would you recommend for crappie, bluegill, and trout? This is a good solution but unless you have long portages over rough, hilly or uneven terrain, it seems a bit overkill. I use a similar strap system on the PVC cart I created but I cut the strap in half and permanently attached each "cut" end to a rail on opposing sides of the cart. When the kayak is placed on the cart, it takes all of 5 seconds to simply pull each strap over the top and snap the buckle - just like putting on your seatbelt. It may not survive a tornado, but it easily gets my kayak from my truck to the water each and every time. The headline does say for a "ROUGH road" so I'll just add that I've had mine topple over sideways on occasion and when it did, was still securely attached to the cart so I simply set it upright to continue. I continue to be dumbfounded by the diminished capabilities of people to figure anything out anymore. I think if you need a video to know how to strap something down, you probably shouldn't be hauling those items.
