@@GeoSphere Thanks, I just checked out the review. The main reason I'm hesitating is that I live in Central Ohio, USA, where we usually get lake effect clouds instead of lake effect snow. Also, I have "Old Betsy," a 10 year old 18" corded Toro snow thrower. It usually works well, though I often look at surrounding sidewalks and a neighbor's driveway when I finish with my driveway and sidewalk, and wish I could keep going. But I'm at the end of the cord and can't. Cheers, Ted

@@pcho8022 thanks for leaving your comment. I agree. I found information online about the proximity switch in the handlebars on the lawnmowers. If the snowblower wasn’t new, I would have replaced or bypassed the switch system. But it’s new and I should have to do that. I ended up buying Toro and haven’t had a single issue with that unit. It was definitely worth the extra money. I made a video about that snowblower if you want to search for it in my channel. Thanks again for your comment!!

@@GeoSphere you would think that Ryobi would learn from the bad batches and eventually release units with updated hardware. I own a hedge trimmer from them that just died one season with very light use. Unfortunately i'm one of the people that invested in their batteries and tools so I have quite a bit of products from them. The drills and impact wrenches seem to be quite decent. I'll check out your Toro blower video later. Cheers

In my opinion and for the reasons you mentioned about the time and cost of shipping from AliExpress, I felt the factory crash bars were the best option. They can be found cheaper on AliExpress but my factory Crashbars from my dealer was $427.37 cdn before GST. That was last year so now….???? Finding the right music for these videos is, for me, the hardest part of making these videos. People have such diverse tastes. Some people don’t mind it, sometimes not. As in this one. Thanks for your comment, I’ll work harder on the next one to find better music. lol

I’ve noticed the bars available from AliExpress are very different to the factory ones that come stock on the European/Australasian 650MT variants and the ones I installed. But if they all do the same job, I’m happy. 😊 Are yours from Ali??

@@GeoSphere Yes, they are. The mounting was a bit tough. There were no instructions and I had to use a file to fix some slight fit issues, but overall it seems very solid.

I love my Klim gear! As for the gloves, very comfortable. I had to get a second pair as the first pair, I ordered too large. I had to size down. Which is unusual for me and gloves.

Thanks!! It’s a great little bike!! I absolutely love mine. As for the project, the crash bars add a great look (or so I think) as well add that extra layer of protection for when, if you like to throw the bike around alittle, you ultimately lay it down. Hopefully at low speeds.

Also do wish it had the ability to idle , though i believe most single stage battery snowblowers can't. A little tedious it always shuts down once you stop engaging the augers but probably in place for battery saving purposes.

I absolutely agree, this machine is a beast in dry powdery snow. In my part of the world, this is 99% of the time what we get. The other 1% is slightly less dry. Lol I’ve never had it in wet snow but I believe it would have to work very hard with that kind of snow. A single stage electric blower is not the best option for wet snow. @ere in a climate like yours its ideal , we tend to get a lot of snowstorms in borderline freezing temps in my area so quite often wet and heavy snow. But i have the large commercial gas 2 stage Ariens for that. This unit is such a good spare for me and got it on a Black Friday sale so saved a good amount to justify as more a backup unit. And whether the rare event I run out of gas or a smaller snow totals type storm where i can get by not using the gas unit (especially powdery snow) ; comes in very handy. Also the light weight is great to be able to carry onto walks / paths or on my deck which is impossible with most any other snowblower.

Update: using your part number, I was actually able to order this from my local U.S. CFMoto dealer. Totally boggled as to why CFMoto themselves told me that engine guards were not going to be available in the U.S. for the Adventura. Maybe they have no idea that their own part is called "Front Bumper" instead of "Engine Guard" or "Crash Bars". Thanks so much!

Hey there! Congratulations on the purchase of your bike!! I love mine but would love the 800 IBEX and their new 400 adventure bike as well. I’m very happy to hear you were able to get your “front, Bumper” from your own local dealership. A lot of US based views here have been curious if they could get them in the US so thanks for the confirmation!! As for the tires, I highly recommend the ones I’m using. The Shinko 705. I bought them online and had the dealership install them before I took delivery of the bike. They are fantastic on gravel as long as they are aired down to about 18-20 psi for gravel. But you DO NOT want to run them on pavement at speed at the pressure for more than a couple of miles. As well, with that low of pressure you have to be careful of what you ride over and with what force. You can crack or break the alloy wheels. Happy riding and thanks for leaving a comment!!

I don’t know if they are available in the USA. The only way to get them In Canada is to go into a dealership, goto their parts counter and get the parts guy to order them using the part number in these comments as well found in the video description. If you live in the states, call a Canadian dealership, talk to their parts guy and get them to order. Maybe they could ship to you when it arrived? Good luck and thanks for the comment!!

Hi! Thanks for leaving g a comment. Our winter so far, has been very very unseasonal and non existent until recently. We had a brown Christmas then only a couple centimeters of snow. So little, I swept the drive way with a broom. Then, with that snow, came the -40° temperatures. We’ve had 2 weeks of cold now. It’s finally warming up and we are getting some snow now that started last night and if forecast to continue today. It’s only forecast to be about 10 cms (about 4 inches). As for the TORO, I’ve used it once to blow some snow I piled up with the shovel, just to make sure it still worked! 🤣 I am very keen to make a 1 yr review video but Mother Nature isn’t helping. I do hope to get one out soon. Please check back in a few weeks.

Thanks for leaving a comment!! Just so you know and to clarify, the P/N I provided was the Kit. It came with everything (except when the factory made the kit, someone forgot to put that second 1/2 shell clamp in the box. Lol) to install the bars.

The way mine was ordered the website gave me a bill of materials to verify. The clamp qty was defaulted to 1. I changed it to 2. What I’d like to find now is a seat upgrade for comfort.

Ugh…. The heat insulator strips are on back order, i should see them in two weeks.. I’d like to find a substitute.. what are these strips made of and what’s the shape? Btw. The frame bars are nice. Good quality and beefy.

The tape was just a self adhesive rubber tape. I feel any type of rubber material would work. I believe it’s only purpose is to tighten the connection when camping it up. To prevent vibrations/fretting between the Crashbars and the frame that would cause the frame to get worn or damaged.

Gas has had many many years to figure things out and they are a waaay cheaper price than their electric cordless counterparts if my driveway was larger and I had more storage I’d definitely have a gas unit. Likely a Honda tracked snowblower. But this Toro 60V, single stage is perfect for my little driveway. So far this year, we haven’t had any snow worth using a snowblower. Very unusual. Hi nickolastiguan! I love Ryobi tools, but they seem to be struggle if with quality control of parts or assembly with their yard/lawn and garden products. I expect they will get on top of that if they haven’t already. The Toro has been flawless for me. I’m really loving knowing it’s going to work every time. I lost that confidence with the Ryobi units. So far no problems with the Toro, but we have not had any snow this season. At least, nothing a broom can’t handle. So no chance to run the Toro snowblower yet this season.

Absolutely. I hope to, but, it’s now the 8th of December and we have had no snow to speak of!! The long range forecasts doesn’t show any “snowblowerable” snow until the New Year!! But I’ll try to put together a quick follow up video. Thanks for your comment!!

I’ve also put some thought into removing some material in the slot (on either side) of the discharge chute to allow more down angle. Your suggestion might be a lot easier!! Very good tools and distribution via the Home Depot is so convenient. However, sometimes manufacturers, in an effort to stay competitive and get products to market for us users, the quality of design and/or manufacture slips by on a small number of their product range. I feel this was the case with their snowblowers. I’m sure they have made changes and this year’s production run is much better than in previous seasons. For my needs I went with Toro’s 60v snowblower instead. I’m very pleased that I did. It’s a wonderful product. Maybe give it a look. I did a video & review about it. Check it out! Thanks again!!

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, as explained in that video I wasn’t able to find a snowblower from Ryobi that would work reliably. I ended up returning the Ryobi snowblower at the end of the season for an in store credit. In the fall, about this time last year I bought the Toro 60v snowblower. It has work flawlessly for me. I made a video about buying it and using it and it bit of a Review video. Check it out on my channel. Thanks again for your comment!!
