I'm not going to correct you. I try to make my own thoughts about the lyrics, and I half expect to be WAY off many times. Yeah, I'm happy to say is not as dark as I thought. And the line you reference is one of the lines I couldn't really get to fit with my interpretation. It fits way better with your explanation about the song. And I think we both agree that it's an amazing song! 🤘⚡❤️

And what a great genre BAND-MAID is! I used to be much like you and never care much about lyrics, treating the vocals as "just another" instrument in the band. But I've started becoming more interested in it lately, as it do give a deeper meaning to the songs. But with a vocalist like Saiki, you still have all the feelings. 🤘❤️

Nu-Metal was definitely of its time, but you might be right. Like I said, I don't like to talk genres, because I will invariably get it wrong, but I trust my viewers. 🤘❤️

It actually seem to be more varied than I thought. I had pegged them as a more straight up rock band, but the do have a lot of variation. The song Forbidden Tales where several genres just in one song.🤘❤️

True. The fire and smoke might just be set dressing, but I like to think there's some meaning behind. But that can absolutely be totally wrong. Yeah, I was wrong about who the song was written by. I just read wrong in my notes, and I kick myself for it now. I even mentioned it in my reaction to Alone that THAT was their first "own" song. So, my bad on that. 🤘❤️

I don't know them enough to compare "old" and "new" Nemophila, but a thing like this would have made them have to re-think a lot of stuff. And it's very possible that this has re-ignited something in them. 🤘💮❤️

@@FranksReactions Well, less wrong and more like you are new to them so you are not yet fully aware how they operate as artists. I was the same thing initially when i discovered them a year ago. The Warning Army is good in that regard, they give us plenty of information. The Warning do have songsthat are about suicide or at least suicide ideatization (not in the sense of wanting to but as only the solutionto a deep anguish) in such songs as The End (Stars Seem To Fade), Black Holes and Breathe. Paulina, who is the writer of those songs has admitied that death is her biggest fear because she feels there's nothiong afterwards and she anguishes on the notion of all you ever known and feel just disappears, the absolute loss of identity. People like that tend not to find refuge in suicide because to them there is no hope of a better afterlife. You know what i mean? The Warning are not coy in dealing with heavy subjects - one could say they do nothing but that, ence why their name for the band . but they rarely point towards a solution either, they offer no easy false hopes or solutions. That's refreshingly honest, if you ask me. It says a lot about The Warning that in terms of lyrics their lightest song is Automatic Sun, which on first listen might be about accomodation to obsession and worshipping another person but in fact it is about missing the presence of a good friend. Yeah.

Oh, I didn't realize this was the first four-piece song. If this is what they will deliver, I'd say they are still doing great. Just listened to the song again now, and I guess she can be a groundbreaker as she sings about not waiting to live for others and doing her own thing. But she also asks if God is there, so there might be a dual meaning. @ For sure. The Japanese are very good at double meanings. For example; Babymetal Death is actually Babymetal Desu. Desu simply means, I am, you are, we are, etc… and the, “U” is silent. Babymetal is simply introducing themselves, but the title is still Babymetal Death. Similarly there are many interpretations of Nemophila G.O.D. lyrics. I’m just providing how the women have described the meaning in interviews. Enjoyed it.
