That came out nice just like the original 🐟🎣👊🤙
Thank You 🎣
Very nice looking rod goes great with the cork handle🐟🎣🫶🤙
Thank You 🎣
Any excuse to build a rod 👍 Great philosophy 🙏
😁I know! Right?!🎣
Very nice can you tell me the length and strength of those rod blanks ty
A mixture of strengths, but they are all 7’
Nice package you sure put a lot of money on that order from mudhole i hooe you got it on sale😀 have fun building i bet them rods are going to come great🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Was the art done directly on the rod or as a decal applied to the blank? Great result no matter how it was done!
That is definitely a decal. I was very pleased with how it turned out. And Thank You for the kind words
Awsome rod build love the music ❤❤️🔥
Thank You 🎣
I've never ysed them guides ,how do they affect casting , just wondering ty. 🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Great tip the pearl really adds some bling to it❤🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Yeh, that flatness didn’t help it much
Very nice i love the trim bands and colors🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Thank You 🎣
Amazing are them real feathers ,how did you get them to shine like that. Beautiful work 🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Yes, real feathers. I added some pearled pigment just to the feather itself let it dry then went back with my final coats
Very nice so many colors all beautiful great job on the rod build 🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Thank You 🎣
Beautiful design nice thread work🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Thank You 🎣
Beautiful work
Thank You, I thought it was about time I uploaded a video on those rods 😁
@@rsrodsjigs6725 I haven’t posted anything in a bit about my rods as I can’t get epoxy shipped to me any longer as it has been deemed a hazardous product?
Nice work great technique🐟🎣🫶🔥🤙
Thank You so much 🎣
Nice color choice
Thank You 🎣 but the credit has to go to the customer, he picked those colors from my marbling pigment palette
Beautiful job ! It’s a lot of work i know 🎣
It truly is 🎣
I could go nuts in that place Mud Hole Some nice pigments there, I ordered the new Fuji metalic threads from there recently, cheaper than buying in Australia, they look great Cheers Stevo
Definitely can’t wait to use them. Have you gotten any of the Fuji Prism thread yet?
@@rsrodsjigs6725 Yes , that’ll what I was talking about. They want $30 per spool here
I never knew CRB had powered pigments. I'll have to look them up on mudhole.
You definitely need to, and get your wallet ready because you may want them all! 🎣
@@rsrodsjigs6725 I'll wait until you give a report on them. I still like the N P pigments
I already have all the other CRB colors before these, they are great. The two brands I use are CRB & Pigments by Nuno, my tried and true two🎣
Good idea
Great tip. Thank you
You are very welcome 🎣
Great tip. Thanks.
Thank You 🎣
Fantastic ! Going to have to try this.
Looks great !
Thank You 🎣
Fuck. I should have thought of that! I should have thought of going that direction instead of coming from the reel.
Don’t feel bad, it only took me 10 years out of the 14 I’ve been building rods for this idea to pop in my head🎣
Interesting result/s Sharon, i thought they would changed colour (orange) I have done any since the last lot we shared ( Ages ago ) Been to busy Been a while between chats Cheers, hope your all well Stevo
Glad to hear from You, I hope all is well 🎣
Have you tried letting the paint sit and let the oil come to the top, pour off the oil and then mix the paint pigment with epoxy? Where did you find the thin strips of Holographic foil or what ever it is? you really give out good information
I’ve heard about pouring off the oil on top but I worried that that would shorten the pigment life. I’m thinking you are talking about that tinsel looking thread on the other test area, That was actually FishHawk flash tinsel, I guess mostly used for fly tying. I also found more colors by different brands on Amazon
It would be fare more helpful with a demonstration. I'll leave it at that!
How do you determine the position of the reel seat?
I find the backbone of the blank for the reel seat position. The grips and reel seats are always the first steps
Best marbling I've seen so far. Amazing work!
Thank You so much for your kind words 🎣
Beautiful colors
Thank You 🎣
Beautiful
Thank You 🎣
Great little tip. Thanks! and I just subscribed.
Thank You, I really appreciate that. I really enjoy sharing things I’ve learned on this rod building journey 🎣
Thats a neat experiment! Nice!
Thank You, I did look better in my head and it did give me other ideas 🎣
@@rsrodsjigs6725New ideas is always good!
Did you make any videos of you actually applying your pigments and show us your techniques as you do them? Great looking rod!
Yes I did, on my Marbling Playlist there’s Marbling in Greens, Marbling in Pinks, Marbling Just 2, Marbling Just 2 Part 2 and Marbling in Blues 2. I will be doing more eventually. This Aurora had to be done in several steps to keep the pigment separate. I have a step by step of the Testors paint with marbling You may enjoy, that was a technique I created on accident, now I use it quite a bit, its “ My Marbling Technique Using Testors Paint with Powder Pigments”. Thank You so much for watching our videos🎣
I seen a diamondback rattler snake skin rod, I want to make one
They came up a treat Nice, did well to match them up
Thank You, I appreciate you watching our videos
Looking into learning how build my own rods. Thanks for the tip.
You are very welcome 🎣 Keep following us, I’m always up to something
Really nice thank you so much for sharing your art
Thank You for the kind words 🎣
Sweet Looking
Thank You 🎣
Very nice looking!! You're last vid got me looking for some more of the Nuno pigments and I end up getting 20 more flavors that I didn't have!! Thanks!!
I know! I didn’t realize there was 18 that I didn’t have, I had to order those a few months back. Now I’m caught up for now. But he adds more each ICRBE, so I have to keep my eye out for new ones
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing
Thank You 🎣
great work, really enjoy your videos
Thank You so much, I appreciate You watching them 🎣
Another stunning work of art!!
Thank You 🎣 this one was fun to do
Looks great
Thank You 🎣
Good idea, thanks for sharing.
You are welcome 🎣
If ya don't mind me asking .. what do YOU use for cork preserver/finisher ?
No, not at all. Mostly I just use U-40 cork seal, every once in a blue moon I might just put a light coat of rod finish if I want the cork to stand out
You are very clever. I believe you just introduced a new and ingenious technique to the rod making University.
Thank You, I try to share little things that work for me
Spoke some real truth at the start of this video that needs to be heard in the community right now.
Thank You for the kind words 🎣
Thank for sharing! Keep up the grea work!
