While the Japanese history of rhythm games was undergoing its early stages, over in Korea another game was following in Bemani's footsteps and establishing a legacy of its own. What followed was the story of a game tied at the hip to the Korean arcade industry. This is EZ2DJ.

Sad that it is a dead game. I still play it at my local arcade though lol. It's super fun
Rhythm Games: Judgment for accuracy. Music Games: Hot or miss.
굉장히 흥미롭군
i know it was out of the scope but id include rockband unplugged, blitz, and the ds ports of rockband since those sort of have the same idea but a little different
IDK if it could cause copyright issues, but I'd love to see someone make a mobile spin of that, since it seems like Museca was made with a mobile focus in mind. Keeping the whole UI but making it a bit more mobile friendly, keeping the gameplay intact by adding touch buttons under the notes, changing the spin notes to flicks (IDK how the stronger spin would translate into touch controls, maybe continuous flicking?) and obviously removing the foot pedal thing. Keeping the Graphicas as something you can obtain on missions and/or turn it into a gacha could also work. IDK, just food for thought I guess.
Ez2on online trax, retro, reboot, reboot plus or reboot : r location vegarhythm by zebra vegabiqzone at shimbashi, tokyo, japan

I actually first played this game after its death. The machine used some sort of private server but since it asked for a Nesica card, which I lack, I didn't even committed to play more than twice. It helped that the machine was running freeplay though.
Technically there is a itg 3 project.
i'm extremely late, but did people think t+pazolite was pronounced differently? TEE PLUS PAZOLITE? IS THAT WHAT THEY'RE SAYING?!
Oh ya btw the pity system for tempestissimo anomaly no longer exist j spent 10 hours to unlock the anomaly honestly my skill improved alot though
BMIII really did an EZ2DJ
I recently got vivid/stasis (the algorithm knows) and it is a great game but do the story and gameplay interact with each other at all? After about an hour of playing it feels like they could be 2 entire separate games and be fine. It's sorta like they don't really depend on the other aspect for anything.
02:22 If we're counting all the platforms they developed with, they did develop IA/VT Colorful for the Vita - AFAIK that would be their first foray in rhythm game development.
Hey if you wanna do a video on DJ Hero, I'm a former top 3 player of the game, GT Superkitty.
the way my jaw dropped when you showed the list of removed songs. that's genuinely insane.
if you recently got into rhytm game, arcaea is not for you, is suggest something lighter and more f2p friendly like cytus
15:51: And the thing is, to get Tempest Tairitsu, you have to clear the Anomaly and to do so you have to: - Unlock BYD difficulty of Tempestissmo which can be done by successfully doing so or reach 100% progression through failing. - Other difficulties MUST clear Tempestissmo Anomaly at all cost. You CANNOT use the 100% progression. 16:21: Before 4.0, Archav can be unlocked without needing to clear Tempestissmo Anomaly. All you need to do after you get Tempestissmo is to play the following in succession (must clear): PRAGMATISM-> Fracture Ray -> Ringed Genesis to pull it off.
This just looks like a visual overload on the senses. I'll stick with IIDX and DDR
Sound Voltex looks f*cking awful to play and sounds atrocious. Stepmania had a good solution for solflan in the form of constant speeds like C200 or C400 which totally negated having to worry about stops or drastic speed changes. I wish they would have done that in the arcade games.
This is my 3rd time rewarching this video HELP ITS TOO INFORMATIVE
I found EZ2DJ machine got a better sound/ bass than Beatmania. Also they are the one who has a long note before beatmania plus having a pedal makes it so much more fun.
Very appreciative of this video as a brand new Arcaea player, since I unlocked the anomaly songs completely out of order (I went Grievous Lady, Tempestissimo, Fracture Ray). Thanks, man!
@losermanwins4338 One video I want to see from you more than anything is MUSIC DIVER. It sits in a weird state of being both alive and dead depending on region and locations in North America. However I feel like you have better knowledge and insight into this than anyone would that I would want a video about it.
My local arcade got a ParaParaDancing machine somewhere around 2004. I played DDR at the time, but the ParaPara dance was too much for me 😅 however, some of my fellow DDR players enjoyed the game while we had it and it wasn't uncommon to see them jumping back and forth between one game to the other.
jonx #1 mentioned 👀♥
And now this game has cinematics like no other.
Will you do a video on DJMax Technika?
Why can't you get Neon FM anymore?
awfully late to the party but ongeki features negative scroll speed on occasions! afaik you never have to read a map in reverse but there's some funny holds in some songs where the play field starts scrolling in reverse halfway through (happens at the end of take)
After I unlocked every song I don’t do world mode any more. Not much point besides unlocking new characters with mid abilities.
I enjoyed that video clip of the dancemaniax dancer lmao
bro was KILLING IT
This brings back so many memories since 1999, myself, I had on occasions played EZ2DJ series from 1st SE up until 7th Trax, (I liked 6th Trax the most btw) the series has strange hype and appeal back then and is imo so much visually different (in style and charts) than Beatmania IIDX
This is one of the best games ive played, period. Chapter 2 is amazing and Chapter 3 is somehow twice as good, all the elements of the gameplay and story fit together so well, so hyped for chapter 4.
I actually have all these games and a Japanese Playstation in my house now. They're my sister's and haven't been played for years, but they're all there. I remember hearing little things in pop music from Beatmania years after my sister and her boyfriend played it.
As a North American person slowly treading into South Korean content, I can say this was very interesting to watch. I actually discovered BERA before this and had many many questions - but now thanks to this I understand.
Megamix+ for the mods
The studio's future sure looked bright back when this video was made, hahah... ...sigh.
Just started playing this game love it so far
review this again :>
God the ds was so good at modern arcade games
My favorite game to play during highschool years outside of space invaders extreme and sonic rush
Would the bonus game in Toejam & Earl: Panic on Funkotron be considered the first rhythm game?
Love F-Zero. Great vid mate. Music bangs
It looks like if Sound Voltex and Jubeat fused together
What a video! I've been playing IIDX since around Red/happy sky, and have always been curious about the EZ games, but never new where to start or find any info. I might give some of these games a shot now.
9:43 Just want to say the correction, it's actually "2nd style" not "2ndMIX" of IIDX.🙏
