Personally, never tried a SUV I would say no I wouldn’t know how to make money through only using a car Vans are literally depending on what you want to deliver. Vans are literally a lucky dip!

@BrentFord93 it's pretty hard going i ended up with a sciatica cushion for backside and a lumber support cushion for my lower back and still had to pack it in. My left leg from changing gears etc too was just in bits. Did it for almost 15 years. Paying for it now 😅 good luck to you though mate

If I was to chase that without any purpose not going to stop anything or gain anything. I need to figure it out tighten up process & adapt the marketing keep going. I just feel sorry for them, that it means they’ve gone to the length to do it. Success is different for everyone. Abundance is everywhere. It’s a strange world we live in 🤝🏻

Absolutely! It’s a strange way to behave But it’s happened and need to make sure the fake leads & price fishing don’t come through

One thing I’ll never touch and that’s my van 😂 not for me. I get extremely well looked after with van maintenance etc like very fortunate. I’ll never touch my van 😂 especially the breaks haha

Have you worked out your yearly costs, van maintenance, insurance, CX subscription, fuel etc and factored them into your quotes.

@iancoyne3835 yes mate, all included I run the van through two businesses so it’s a little different for me. I run it at 3/4x multiple of the coatings for margin The quote I mentioned in the video was a milk run type of work, where a guy in my area charges 50p a mile anywhere inside in the M25 once a week runs that. So it’s a totally different type of service to me

Hi, love your vids being watching from day 1. I had my own transport company doing class 1 European back in 80’s, now just me, the van & CX. Feel your pain over quoting on potential new customer. My experience tells me new customers are going to ask two questions. 1) Why should i drop my current company for you ? and 2) What you charging. So make sure you have those answers. I believe you have just a small van My advice, take it or leave it. Get a LWB van, your own customers aren’t as fussy on co-loading. Also you can do large, medium, small jobs. At the moment you would have to sub out those jobs and it will be your business reputation if subbie messes up. Also, this is brave, have a look at a small industrial unit. Looks more professional and you can offer customers some warehousing. A lot of big business works on ‘Just in time’, and the big transport companies like Culina etc make their money from this not trucks. Start very small scale but it might be something others in your area aren’t offering. Good Luck

What I found accessibility mainly that’s why they choose me but again I’m on some quoting lists and not on others. The value of a small van for me is the payload and the types of jobs that’s unique for me and the customer. But we’re looking at a small of our own drivers - LWB & XL plus a couple of SWB vans The warehousing in the future fingers crossed Q2 of next year we’re pushing for a storage unit 👀 keep an eye on the channel. CX only It’s the only one I knew existed at the time mate I would say, just get started by either a self employed but working for another haulage company Then trial every type of app to suit you

Without a doubt, people buy from people they like and trust Price fair and stable don’t fluctuate the price But get in front of potential clients A client is someone who needs a courier that’s it Then take it will grow in the circumstances of the amount of clients you keep happy to the fulfilment of work

But again…. Network Network is your networth like the saying is But don’t be the cheapest running round at pennies is pointless Find your base cost & make some margin for profit and growth

It’s tough init very slow that’s why I went to put focus on customers It’s especially hard when the apps are for outsourcing work It goes to known fleet first & sub contractors they know first then it’s goes on CX or the other apps Jan & Feb are slow but this whole year been slow that’s why I made it my focus to keep the targets low and learn it’s very tough just to make a living on CX alone because so many people take a margin on the way

Know what your selling & ask questions be curious over judgmental because the key is to offer your service and qualify people but connection their service or product to someone else they will then do the same at scale. Because you don’t know who they know. Eventbrite - local areas find networking events Social media - connections Business cards - V1CE card so your not buying card all the time Understand what service it is you’re actually selling that’s the key.

Also making a priority that drivers get paid a minimum per job (no bidding for work) So need the margin to be able to grow & still get the drivers paid

@@HAFGROUP nah just turnover - fuel then can see exactly how much earnt for the week, my target is a grand for around £110-£150 on fuel weekly. Hit it most weeks other than first few months of the year

Customers customers customers That’s all you have to focus on CX is a base point for outsourcing work it’s not a get rich driving everywhere jobs on tap It’s to outsource or get back loads if things line up in your favour I reckon any van that suits what you want to do… they all have different aspects genuinely Your self employed on CX they don’t get work for you they connect you with freight forwarders not clients 👍🏻 hope this helped Can’t say it enough.. customers customers customers

But I always wanted a business that was A 2 B something I can test myself and scale which as an element of commercial properties 😂 logistics & storage is the perfect business for me Everyday I do it is a win, improving is the key I want to now see how big I can grow this Yeah full credit, it’s really interesting with the driving because so many different options.
