Questions do need to be asked from the top down, player selection, coaching,play calling, draft choices, injuries, all of that plus we have to look at what players are actually available that want to play for Pittsburg or just want the money a big contract brings then turn out to be a bust long term. Perhaps something can be done by addition to help the Steelers, rather that subraction. Find a QB coach to help Justin Fields smooth the rough edges, and hire him. Find someone who is adept at identifying good players in the late rounds of the draft, because the Steelers are always in the middle of a draft, in the mediocre section. Mike Tomlin is not a bad defensive coach, but ineffective on the offensive side. His assistant coaches are not bad, either, but identifying QBs, and skill offensive players is another story.

People like shiny objects... QB, WR, RB - but it all begins in the trenches. O-line, o-line, o-line. And o-line coach. And OC. Then see how much better the QB, RBs and WRs are... Oh, and let me call special attention to the OC who called a punt on 4th and inches in a playoff game they were losing when they needed a spark.
