If you can see them ,they can see you...what I've done when sight fishing is back off and fish the place where I saw them ...also in water that clear try using something with natural colors and downsize your bait a little , finesse fishing works best in those condition a lot of times....I have the same scanoe,have a 2.6 coleman outboard to go on the back...love it

Re: Tipping Look into a wingman outfitter. It's an outrigger system that fits any canoe. Pricey, but OH MAN does it completely eliminate the fear of tipping. You can fish from a raised platform or literally jump out of the boat and pull yourself back in. Bonus is that it keeps your food and drinks cold, or keeps fresh-caught fish on ice. Not affiliated with them in any way but I bought one a few years ago and I will never, ever go back. Cheers and happy paddling from Canada.

Those Storm soft lures that are 3 in a pack in the perch or walleye pattern are very good at catching pike. The only thing is that the pike take them pretty deep. I have caught them up to 41” on those lures, Keho was a Great Lake for them.

I enjoy your videos I'm off to visit a buddies in grand cash Alberta it would be nice to know some hot spots to visit while I m going there I did have a 17 ft freighter canoe I was going to give you guys because of what happened to yours but I had second thoughts when your scared to reveal some of your hot spots. I subscribed to your videos I injoyed watchi g but when I see that the educational value wasn't there I now have in subscribed . Don't be scared to share guys there's always enough to go around especially when you live in another province haha have fun injoy life and now I will to kiss to the baby take care love one another and may the God of Abraham Issaac and Jacob bless you because he has me already with you and your videos until now

That's some great pike fishing...love it....caught my p.b. March 2022 ice fishing...check out vid on you tube titled "gigantic nothern pike March 2022"...fish was over 30lbs...51.75 inches long...DO NOT WATCH WITH KIDS...sorry for language in vid..we lost our nut...scale at end of vid was rusted and bottomed out at 23.5 lbs...fish was well over 30lbs....caught in alberta rockies....you guys are fun to watch...from my melted igloo on the mountain...D

This is so cool. I've recently got back into fishing. So I found your vids when searching for vids to watch on koot lake, and duck lake, been watching your vids for a few wks. I came across this one the other day. I freaked, because lived on hidden Valley Rd (where haiiawatha pond is), literally 3 km up from where you guys fished, for 9 yrs. Was living there, when you filmed this a year ago, prob saw you guys. I just moved back to Creston this april We have tried fishing that pond so many times, but no boat, I have to shore fish wherever I go. If you guys have and great recommendations of places to shore fish from koot lake (I already do at kiosk, and blue point), please let me know. Do you guys still fish? Bring baby with you. I'm a similar mntn girl, took my little girl camping and fishing when she was 2 wks old. Anyways, let me know, and so cool you were on our Rd!

Nice down south videos you two!! You know where some nice pike are. Interesting tidbit,,, everything over 29” is most likely a female!! Regardless, they fought well and so did you two! Lots of nice fish!! Oh yeah,,,,, you have a horribly good problem,,, your net is too small!!!

I'd repair it as its cheap AF to fix it. At the same time I'd start shopping for a used Old Town Canoe. I have had 3 Colemans. The Scanoe you have is stable, but its a tank. Once you get the legs for a canoe, you will be like OMG. It glides, it turns, its LIGHT. Like I said, fix it, sell it and get a used Old Town. If you can find a Penobscot in Royalex, it will carry your kids into adulthood.

I've googled duck lake and it's telling me Ellison. Is that true or different lake. I just got into bass fishing in bc and haven't been able to find many spots and wanna catch something bigger then 1 pounders

I liked the music. What was it if you know? I also liked the underwater video of the fish. Did you use a Go Pro? I just bought a Scanoe myself. I haven't made it onto the water yet. Good to know you think a trolling motor with a 36" shaft is the right choice. That's what I was thinking, and I'm currently shopping for one.
