I listen to meshuggah lots, and it definitely contains the heaviest songs in metal when it comes to how powerful their drops are… But with no doubt.. Even tho this song as a whole is tame in meshuggah standards… 4:05 is Probably the actual heaviest drop in metal history, and I heard some super heavy drops in my time.

We are so stupid, that section in the song with the dropouts and just the bass playing is Fredrik teaching us the riff by breaking it down into slices, learn each piece and it would give a much easier path to understanding how the main riff is constructed. Just realised now in the calendar year of 2024. We are idiots.

Seeing that midi drum programming on a crt screen blows my mind. I think I was born right after my parents got rid of the crt so I've never seen anything like that. And it sounds really good too. This video quality is also surprising. I've recorded to tape and at 240p on old cameras but they never looked this good.
