2022 Wrangler 392 on 38's!
Переглядів 10 тис.2 роки тому
Thank you for watching. Please like and subscribe, we have lots of trails planned for this summer with both Jeeps. As expected, there was rubbing with the 38's with the stock 392 XR suspension. I aired down to about 15 psi, and kept the sway bar connected for the whole trail to try and limit articulation. 2022 Wrangler 392 with Extreme Recon Package (Sting Grey) - Nitto Ridge Grapplers 38's - T...

Wrangler 392 on Slaughterhouse Gulch in Colorado
Переглядів 8 тис.3 роки тому
We got a last minute invite to run Slaughterhouse Gulch this past weekend. The trail is rated as Moderate-to-Difficult on Trails Offroad. Personally I'd rate it as moderate, at most. A large group of Jeeps drove by us while we were stopped for lunch, so watch for that towards the end of the video! Thank you to everyone for all the awesome comments! We are working to keep improving the quality a...
Wrangler 392 on 35's Attempts Holy Cross - Snow!
Переглядів 13 тис.3 роки тому
Grip was an issue on most of the obstacles we encountered because of the snow already on the ground. We used our winch to keep things safe in two different spots. We made it just over 2.5 miles into the trail, turning around just short of French Creek. We will be making some significant upgrades over the winter to be better prepared for this trail next summer!
Wrangler 392 on 35's Attempts Hackett Gulch - More Tailpipe and Bumper Dragging
Переглядів 10 тис.3 роки тому
We ended up just in front of a fun group of Wranglers that were also running Hackett. We attempted all the obstacles on this trail, so as usual, there is some more rock sliding, tailpipe clearance issues, and coming down on the rear bumper. Got some drone footage of the river crossing at the end of the video. 2021 Jeep Wrangler 392 35" BFGoodrich KO2's Rock Slide Engineering Rock Slide Steps

We ordered a new 2022 Wrangler 392 with the Extreme Recon package that should be here towards the end of the year for his and hers 392's! That's how much we love this thing! For now, enjoying some easier trails around the Colorado Springs area. Wrangler 392 on 35's Attempts Chinaman Gulch
Переглядів 22 тис.3 роки тому
The good, the bad, and the ugly. We knew we would have clearance issues running 35's on Chinaman. This trail presented a challenge with approach and departure angles, as well as just overall clearance. The cross pipe for the exhaust is the low point for us in the middle of the 392, and the steel guard protecting it drags quite a bit. The exhaust tips and tow hitch also rubbed on this trail. Ove...

Thumbs up for the new video. 👍
Appreciate it!
Slick setup and beautiful 392. I would try running the heater harder. Sometimes they get grumpy if they don’t have enough fan speed on a low setting. Can’t move enough air to cool itself.
Thanks for the suggestion man! Going camping again next weekend with a friend. I’ll give that a try.
cool video!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Bad ass rig 👍💪
Good video, does that red 392 have metal cloak long arms and if so how do you like them
Yep, it does, and Fox 2.5’s from accutune. The ride is super smooth on and off road with that set up. For overlanding or easier trails the long arm kit is perfect. For harder rock crawling, the rear lower control arm mounts become an issue and reduces overall clearance.
@@Colorado392family are they an issue because the metal cloak control arm brackets are to big ?
I think it’s just the design they had to go with to make them bolt on. I wouldn’t really want a smaller bracket. It needs to be able to take a beating, which it has done good at. Just gets caught up more often than a setup that doesn’t have that bracket there on harder rock crawling trails like Cliffhanger in Moab.
It's been a minute since last Rock Junction; just got a chance to rewatch this! Awesome video.
We had a great time on the trail with you guys that day!
Awesome
Where’s the latest content??!
Raising little man the right way !! 💪 GodBless
Thanks for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it.
@@Colorado392familywhere is the new content it’s been awhile
How are the stock axles holding up with the 38’s ?
Great question. They are holding up great! Both 392’s are now running 38’s. We moved the white one to Trail Grapplers instead of Ridge Grapplers. Both had issues with the locker sensors, so we got Z automotive bypass for those.
Is it V8 engine or what ?
Yes it’s a stock from the factory Jeep called the Jeep JL 392 Wrangler. It’s got a three hundred and ninety cubic inch V8 engine
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Mad props for running this with your 392. Enjoyed this one and hope to see more 392 wheeling content.
Need to downshift to first gear while in 4 low.
Thanks, coach!
Looks like a great trail. We look forward to running it! 🤘🏼😎
You’re going to love it! Hopefully we can run it with you guys at Rock Junction next year!
Awesome video coverage! And loved the little hand waving at 6:34 :D
We need more vids!
Haha! We have lots of trails planned for this summer. More vids coming soon!
New video posted! Another one coming soon 🤘🏻
Where was it filmed? What is the name of this place?
Balanced Rock Road outside of Woodland Park, Colorado.
@@Colorado392family Thank you very much!
I like your jeep rubicon.
Thanks!
Good driver by the way
Thank you!
Is that 392 on stock suspension ?
Yes. It was on the stock suspension in this video.
nice jeep, but you seem to need a lot more seat time before you understand how to drive it.
Thanks, Scott! Love all the videos on your channel bro!
My Car ❤️
Awesome video!! Love my 392. Does anyone have recommendations for the best SNOW/ICE specific tire? Thanks!!
Thanks man! I really like the BFG KO2's in the snow. I'm not sure anything does great in ice.
Awesome video!! Love my 392. Does anyone have recommendations for the best SNOW/ICE specific tire? Thanks!!
We like the BFG KO2’s.
enjoyed this video especially the tutorial part with the Jeep Toy. Just got my first Jeep-- A 392 stock with 33' K02 / no Xtreme recon. So, did you just replaced the stock tires with 35" tires on stock rims or yours has the XR package? I am trying to figure out what else I need to do if I want to put 35" tires on my Jeep. I hear everything from just putting the 35 on stock rims and doing nothing else to having to changing rims, spare hinge, wheel spacers and even changing the gearing on the car! Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks! The kids love their RC crawlers. This is a 2021 392 and XR wasn’t an option when we ordered it. We put 35” KO2’s on it and it did great. That’s how it’s setup in this video. Eventually we wanted to go bigger though. Now this one has a 3.5” Metalcloak Game Changer lift on it with 38” Nitto Ridge Grapplers and has been regeared to 4.88’s.
@@Colorado392family got it. Thank you.
Nice jeep, 2 1/2 months ago I ordered the same exact one but a 2023 year model should be here in a few weeks, the 392 is the way to go👍👍
You’re gonna love it!
I have a 2020 JL Sport Mojito 2 door, I have the 3.6L 6 speed manual and I have a blast in the snow! Can only imagine the fun you have in a 392!! Nice video brother!
What running boards do you have on there.
Rock Slide Engineering.
Can't wait to see your next video! 👍
Beautiful sharing 👍
Nice Jeep, thanks for the video, I ordered a new 390 to 2 weeks ago and I had the hardest time figuring out what color, mine will look pretty much exactly like yours after looking at all the colors I kept going back to white it was the simplest non-confusing color to get, looks like those tires work well in the snow👍
What size tires are those? 35”? What brand looks perfect!
Yep, 35’s!
Absolutely love snow wheeling. Can’t wait for my 392 to be delivered!
What is XR? Xtrem Recon? Its not XR!!!
It is shortened to XR on every forum and Facebook I’m a part of. Thanks for watching.
What rock sliders do you have? They look very nice
Rock Slide Engineering Rock Sliders
Ought to in Low range on that terrain
If you had watched the whole video you’d know I did switch to four low. Forgot to for the first part of the trail. Thanks for watching.
@@Colorado392family no hate buddy - just thinking aloud ! lol.
On the trail with the temp tags?!?! Love it!
Hey buddy - I got 37s on my XR on a 20 inch wide wheel and it doesn't rub or anything on roads but was curious how it will be on trails and if it will rub since I don't have spacers on anything else. Mine is a -18 offset. Any thoughts? Great looking 392 and awesome video by the way.
I’d expect it to rub at full flex off road. Particularly in the rear. Thanks man!
So with a 392 XR, you can actually mount 38's on stock wheels and drive around? And even take it offroad?? Did you at least have to add wheel spacers? Other folks have added 1.75" spacers to fit 37's. Amazing. My 2023 392 XR is on order. Now I want 38's!! Great video!!
I had 1.75” spacers on when we filmed this video. We now have a MetalCloak 3.5” GC lift with 6-pak shocks that allows for much better articulation off-road. You’ll have lots of rubbing off-road with 38’s on the stock wheels and suspension with 1.75” even with the 1.75” spacers. Appreciate the comment! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Sweet Jeep. Love the Hemi in the Jeeps. Awesome
Thanks man!
the 38 inch tire WILL become the tire of choice. It's a perfect fit for the JL and some lift. I started my channel with a trip to AOP (Adventure Offroad Park) and will be posting upcoming videos on my build. Minus the 392, you and I are twinsies! Lol. We'll, except for that I'm on 4.75 inches of total lift (Fabtech 5 inch springs) Metalcloak control arms, shocks, rear DB3 Control arm lowering bracket and track bar. Antirock sway bar, rugged ridge flat fenders, Steersmarts top mount drag link, Adams drive shaft, skid plates, etc...... I kinda wish the 392 was around when I bought my jeep, but that's a future project for me.
Awesome man! I’ll check out your channel!
37s on 17s is the preferred combo
Really nice video. Thanks for posting
Thank you!
Nice 👍
Thanks!
Mobs off roads
My 38s should be here tomorrow. Went same ridge grappler for my 392
You’re going to love them!
Nice Video. Just ordered 2023 392XR Can't wait.
Nice! You’re gonna love it man!
Heck yea…can’t loose with the 392’s!
Looks like at certain points you gotta have chains. was hoping there was a vehicle you could drive anywhere in the sierras without the need of chains and not get stuck.
Very cool! Lots of Wrangler shoppers choking at the $80k price of a 392. I pretty loaded V6 Rubicon will run $65k. Another $15k gets you the amazing 392 V8 which comes fully loaded.
Exactly!
