If you don't have full 19:50 minutes to watch this life or death situation, you can watch at 2x playback speed, but I personally find it fascinating how the poor guys kept fighting for food straight from the compost pile. #slugs #snails #gardening
Smells AMAZING! Great on a Privacy Fence. But VERY Very Aggressive!

4 Reasons Why MOSS is a Perfect House Plant
Would it be okay to layer the blanket with mulch on top of it? I'm attempting to get rid of weeds in my garden bed.
You can also make home brewed wine out of it.😮
Love them.
Looks way too wet.
This was the beginning of the tumbler testing. Still, I think it's harder to control the compost in the tumbler rather than in a pile.
I agree with you, I planted the same twice but used sweet potato slips .
ooooohhhh !!!!!! ThanK Youuuu Soooo Much !!! ❕🌿💚❕💚❕💠🌿❕💠🌿❕💠💚❕💚💚💚❕❕This is By Far THE BEST informative video that I've come across !!:; which Answers A LoT of the questions that i had ;~:;; Thank You Soo Much ❕❕⛰🌸🌀🎼 🙏🏽🤍🏹💚🌿🍃☘️🤍🤍🤍
So glad it was helpful :)
Can the moving blanket stay permanently like landscape fabric without being a liability??
I never recommend landscape fabric. It deteriorates with time, even the moving blanket, and then weeds or grass will start trying to grow through it, and they'll be very hard to remove. I recommend several layers of newspaper instead.
@@GARDENING_foraging thanks!
Why would I try to attract mosquitoes in my yard just to kill them?
This method is useful if one has standing water nearby thats breeding mosquitoes. It'll control their population.
why would a slug know or care that penny was solid copper or copper plate? either way slug would only touch copper.
Dont know. The slug didnt want to answer my questions ;)
What is a Dunk???
The leaves are edible and make good tea also
Linden flower tea with honey is delicious!
Instead of a stick I put some hardware cloth over the bucket so that my cats won't drink it. That will keep anything but pests out of the muck. Thank you for the video, I just set mine up and appreciate the validation that it works.
Can the mosquitoes get through the cloth to lay the eggs? Im going to try this.
Put 1 cheap gold fish to eat the larva
Put her in prison
any secon hand copies ,?
Try googling the title and then choose "shopping" button.
We need to keep mosquitoes alive now, climate change has done a too good job of mitigating their prolific existence.
Doing this for years with acidic containers of juice and most others.❤
That's the borax burning off causing it to burn green. You can just add enough organic matter to raise the acidity to counter the alkaline properties of the caustic, resin, and the and borax used to make the glue in corrugated board.
The chemicals I mentioned in the video burn this color. Other cardboard didn't burn green.
I do kiddy pool ponds every year. I control the mosquitios with fish. Mosquito fish to be exact. I just catch them when i empty it each year and keep them over winter inside with a 30 gal tank. Been net positive for my garden and fish each year.
News you can use. I’ve been using these dunks for years because they work.
❤😮😂😂❤
Good information. Thank you.
Used coffee grounds have very little caffeine left and are typically neutral ph. Fresh coffee grounds are acidic .
NOTE: standing water ATTRACTS mosquitoes, so if you create such a bucket/container in your garden/yard, you will attract mosquitoes (to kill their larvae). However, if you have standing water nearby that you can't access to use the dunks there, creating the standing water area will let you eliminate many mosquitoes that would otherwise hatch in the inaccessible standing water.
True. I had standing water and tossed mosquito dunk bits to kill the larvae. I would never set up a bucket as shown here. It's the same as a bug light. It will attract the pesky bugs.
Are these dunks harmful to birds?
@@marcostovar1094 They're not supposed to be harmful to birds but I have heard concerns about using it if bees of butterflies come for a drink since it kill insects, it may harm our beneficial bugs too.

very nice, thanks

Good test. Clearly copper doesn’t work as is obvious to anyone who understand basic science.
Maybe the slug got desperate...
@@GARDENING_foraging Yes, perhaps the stimuli to move may have exceeded the inhibitory response. All I know is that mine are busy savaging all my brassica at the moment, even with traps, baits and nightly slug and snail crusades by torchlight.
😮😮😮😮😮
Thank you for the most welcome information.❤

Obviously, you wouldn’t do this where there’s a chance toddlers or babies could fall in. Or if there’s a possibility of having house guests over who would bring their little one. I know of someone who was having a baby shower celebration at their house and someone brought their 2 year old. The older kids were playing with the little one and everyone was having a good time. People went in and out and suddenly the mother noticed the little one wasn’t near her or with the other kids. They said they brought him back to mom but mom was chatting and wasn’t notified they were bringing him back. They found him drowned in the backyard pool, which only takes a few minutes 😢 Please be careful with standing water.
Thank you, loved one! Just started adding milk to my tomato plants 😊

Yikes, sounds like Melania😮
Yikes, this comment sounds judgmental...
Modern pennies don't have much copper in them. Before 1982 they were 95% copper and 5% zinc. After 1982 they were made with 5% copper and 95% zinc. The more modern penny has the least amount of copper with a small 2.5% copper plating and a 97.5% zinc base.
True. I should have checked the dates on them.
I use the stick method in my yard to save the lives of anole (small 🦎 lizards).
Thanks for the sharing
Thank you for watching!
WHAT IS a Mosquito Dunk??? Did You make it & How? Or, Where does 1 purchase it??? Please 😊
you can buy it online or in store, if you are in the USA in Lowes, Home Depot or Ace
Wow, Thank you!
Thank you :)
Thanks
Thank you for visiting here! :)
@@GARDENING_foraging I am learning a lot with your videos
But a mosquito will have to have a blood meal before laying larva, meaning they've already bitten someone or something.
The dunks prevent NEW mosquitoes from hatching.
I never see in Malaysia 🇲🇾, they can grown in Malaysia?
According to internet search it's not native to Malaysia.
Just put the dunk where the mosquitoes are Don't create a new area they don't discriminate they will thrive anywhere they're standing water not just one you made
This is for those that have some standing water that's not accessible to put dunks to. As a result, some mosquitoes will lay eggs in the container with water with dunks instead of the inaccessible standing water without dunks.
Thank you
Thank you :)
Is it a perennial?
yes, it is
@@GARDENING_foraging Thank you very much!👍
Yes indeed, dandelion is an amazing plant! And you are led to believe that it is a pesky weed, when in reality it is a fantastic plant with powerful health benefits.
People have been led to believe that a lawn without dandelions is the most desirable thing for a house owner, so they can sell tons of poison. and then sell tons of drugs for the health problems ppl will have from all the poison. Oh, and there's the no-more herbs and edible plants aspect to it too...
Fhhffuf
I moved to the countryside about five or six years ago, and started going on walks a lot once we got settled in. One day I was walking and didn’t have a cigarette, so I carelessly grabbed a weed from the side of the railroad tracks and began chewing it. Turns out it was poison hemlock. It messed my kidneys up pretty badly which was very painful.. probably almost killed me. Hopefully someone can learn from my mistake! Cheers everyone! 😁
That's why you need to be 100% sure what you are foraging. There are many plants that can kill you.
Lol then the rain comes and we run out of dry ash lol but ok for dry weather which is what again? Rain, rain and more rain.. lol
