This unique roasting style makes Hojicha different from other green teas and lends to a distinct flavor profile. Stick around as I take a closer l...

Other instructions say to brew for far longer or maybe boil it. This was not steeped enough. Bad advice.
A sad fake video you didn't even drink the tea 😂😂
You didn't follow the instructions AT ALL. It says boil over heat heat for 5 minutes, but you poured hot water over it and just let it sit there before pouring it out. It should be a rich brown color, not a weak urine color.
But and the temperature? And the proportion for water and tea?
I love barley tea hot and cold! It’s really refreshing thank you!
Have you tried Jin Xuan Oolong Tea of Thailand.
I'm currently drinking Ginkgo leaf, Yerba mate, echinacea, lemon balm, peppermint, tulsi, Rosemary and hibiscus. We have a beautiful tea shop her on Mani named Padmaʻs Tea House
Fabulous! Getting into the knowledge of tea, this is very helpful and informative. Mahalo!
I agree with your optimal taste preference. Weaker tea by less infusion but high in floral jasmine fragrance!! 😊😊😊
You dang wrong not need it Korean
The Sunflower tea I buy is dark green and has real jasmine flowers in it. It is delicious and the taste of jasmine is strong. Actually, when you pour the tea, one can see on 6:48 that they have exactly the same color, although later you show two cups with differently colored tea.
I would drink this in Korea 🇰🇷 after massages in Myeondong District of Seoul. I never forgot the smell and tastes after years....ago
No offense, but this is an unfair comparison. You brewed the tea from the tea shop by 5-10 minutes meanwhile the tea from the grocery store for only 5 minutes. There others things taht weren’t fair such as leaving the tea leaves in the cup meanwhile the other tea had a better filter with no extra tea leaves. I think when doing comparisons we should keep things on the same playing field and with the same rules.
Thank you very much❤
I make it how my Korean mom always made it. I bring water to boil in a pot with the barley; after it comes to boil, I keep boiling it on low heat for 3 - 5 minutes depending how strong I want it.
Citrus taste nice after drinking barley tea
this was the kind of explanation i was looking for thank you
Have you ever tried the Joy Luck Jasmine tea, and what do you think about it?
Why don't they leave the jasmine flowers in the tea?
Check out Yunnan sourcing, Mei leaf, and white2tea for some high grade tea
No explanation😩👎
i have a question. the jasmine tea taht i brewed is close to green in color. i was expecting an orange-red color to be fair. why is that difference? is there different typres of jasmine tea? my second question: how many times can i brew /use my jasmine tea in one sitting. i mean for instance i maybe used the leaves for 15-20 steep times, through the day. is it normal? healty? common ? what is the average of that steep periodicity? i am not throwing away the leaves after 3-4 cups. ı use the same leaves in my Gaiwan whole day. am i doing wrong?
YOOOO THIS IS CRAZYY
I love oolong ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
5-10 minutes for steeping is crazy. 3-4 mins and that’s it
Malt its dried germinated barley. Even better. More digestable
What if i do barley malt tea? Its even healthier
i see.............................
You have a beautiful smile
Is au jasmine tea real? It feels so good and i got it from one of the thai restaurants they showed me they are using the Au jasmine tea
You can make a Mexican drink with the roasted corn. It's called pinole. It's a type of atole
Your very smart with awesome tea information! Thank you so much 😮
Hi, the best Jasmin tees might be organic Wuyuan or dragon Pearls / Phoenix Pearls 🙏🏼
Hello! Thank you for much for the recommendations. I will have to try them one day
Dry tea leaves alone do not have much aroma; tea requires immersing in hot water to bring out the aroma.
I find this to be true unless they are combined with an aromatic flower or fruit notes
A pleasure to see this. I'm drinking a cup of it just now-- calming enjoyment.
I agree, it's a tranquil pastime to enjoy tea outside in good weather.
Purchased the matte blue version. Do you know where you can buy a replacement lid. Sara Verdier does not sell one on their website. Maybe a generic lid that would fit on this cup.
Found the matcha Tea video, thank you so much. next let's talk about how you get those pearly whites so white. Is there a video?
Thank you very much for that review and for your smile. My friends from Barbados actually grind the kernels after roasting and Put milk and sugar. It is delicious. I will be looking for your review on matcha green tea
Which oolong tea would you recommend for weight loss?
Oolong is really just a style but the tea itself is tea leaves. Antioxidants found in all tea improve health and caffeine plus L-theanine would decrease crashing energy and provide longer satiety. In my opinion, all are good options for overall improvement in health.
What did trump say? "I'm gonna try it" It was something like that.
Jasmine tea had its origins in eastern and northeast India in ancient India history. Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasmine_tea Since China and USA want everything to be in their name, it’s now their propriety 😂😂. But it’s early origins and locale is still in northeast and eastern India. Thanks to Indian government efforts, now we are able to revive our own Jasmine tea production that was once practiced till 5th century AD but gradually died with the advent of Buddhism and religious infighting in early ancient India. Right now pure and high quality Jasmine tea is being cultivated in plains of Darjeeling and Sikkim with special focus on flavor and scent.
Thank you for sharing!
You had me at grain water 🌾💦
That’s so cool! I love tea but I have never had tea like this. That’s art inside the tea pot. I’m definitely gonna try it thanks for sharing 💜
I trust that no one told you that Mauby drink is to be had with sugar?
I’m looking for an organic Oolong that’s leaning more towards a green tea, slightly bruised. What do you recommend?
That would be any green oolong. No specific recommendation, but you could look into Jade oolongs. There are many, but the palate could complement your preferences.
What is that device your using to brew it and how do you use it
Is a French press, it will separate the leafs from your brew.
I am making some right now (same brand as in the video) in a pressure cooker. I tripled up the ratio recommended on the back of the package of '2 tbsp per 2 liter'.
Great! Many have said that increasing the recommended ratio heightens the experience and makes for a truly enjoyable brew. How did you like yours?
@@HoosGottheTea I liked it a lot better. Highly recommend going to a stronger ratio than what they list on the package. Stronger concentration tastes a lot more similar to what I tasted in Korea (iced version found in convenience stores).
Do you know a supplier of very aromatic Oolong tea?
Hello cartoonapped! I know of a tea farmer in China but his tea is expensive as he does not have an established form of product distribution. There are many tea stores in New York that sell a variety of teas in airtight containers. I would like to say you could start there. I hope this helps!
@@HoosGottheTea thank you
